Seeing Dad Once Again // Onward Fanfic

BONUS CHAPTER

THIRD POV ~ (A/N ~ I just wanted to do this so, enjoy! Also I'm going to refer to the character as Jack, but Jack can also stand for Jacqueline)

"Oh no! We're trapped!" Ian cried gripping his hair. 

"Relax Ian." Barley sighed, a little nervous himself, "You just have to roll an even number."

Ian shook the Quests of Yore die in his hands and released it onto the table. It bounced once, twice, three times, both boys were staring at it intently as it made it's final rolls. Just as the die was about to lay still the door burst open, drawing the boy's attention away from the die. 

(Y/N) walked in the door with a guy/girl. "Who's that?" Barley asked crossing his arms over his chest in a protective way. 

"Jack."

"Who's this Jack?" Ian now asked, copying Barley's actions. 

"My boy/girlfriend. You met him/her before. Remember?"

The boys gazed at the guy/girl their older sister brought home. They did remember him/her. When they went to visit (Y/N) she introduced him/her to them. They still stayed in their positions though. Laurel looked to see what the commotion was about, but then her face relaxed when she saw what was going on. "(Y/N)!" she scolded, "How could you bring Jack over without telling me! I would've baked something."

"It's fine Mrs. Lightfoot." Jack replied, "You do so much already, I don't want to be a burden."

"Such a gentleman/lady." Laurel said while waling back to the kitchen, "Well you do what you want. What we have is yours."

The boys continued to scowl at the new guy/girl in their house. "Ian, come with me." Barley said while leading Ian into his room. 

The boys sat down on the bed, before freaking out. "WHY IS HE/SHE IN OUR HOUSE!"

"NO ONE CAN DATE (Y/N)!"

"SHE IS OUR SISTER AND SHE HAS TO STAY FOREVER!"

"DAD WOULDN'T LET HER DATE!"

Barley's eyes lit up and his lips cracked into a smile, "That's it!"

"What?" Ian asked still trying to absorb the information.

"Well since Dad isn't here, he can't give Jack the dad talk. If (Y/N) is insisting on dating this guy/girl we need to set some rules down."

"Okay. Let's do this." Ian confidently said as he whipped his pen and notebook out. 

~~~3 hours later~~~

Barley and Ian crept up the stairs to (Y/N)'s room. They cracked the door open to find their sister and Jack snuggling on the bed watching stuff on (Y/N)'s laptop. They tried to open the door a little, but it creaked getting (Y/N)'s attention. 

"What do you guys want?" (Y/N) hissed, "This is a good part. The cookie dough is in the second drawer in my closet if you are looking for that."

"No, we want to talk to Jack." Ian announced.

"No." (Y/N) said wrapping her arms around Jack's waist. "I don't want you to kill him/her."

"We won't kill him/her."

"Fine. You have 10 minutes. Jack, if they try to do anything to you,  scream and they will pay."

With that (Y/N) shoved Jake out of the bed and he/she followed the brothers into Ian's room. "Have a seat." Barley said pointing to the chair. 

Once the people were seated, Ian started to speak, "You will be graded for the questions we ask you. You can get a possible 5 points from each question and there are 20 questions. You need a minimum score of 60 points to be considered suitable."

"First category, question one." Barley announced, "What do you and (Y/N) do together for fun?"

"Well, we like to watch movies together. Also we normally get coffee once a week and walk around the park."

Ian scratched something down on his tablet before Barley asked the second question, "What is it about our sister that makes you want to stay with her?"

"She is a fun person to hang around with. She always makes me laugh with her witty comments and sarcasm. Also she is supportive and caring when she needs to be."

"What is (Y/N)'s favorite food?" 

"(Favorite food) obviously. She talks about it all the time."

"What is (Y/N)'s favorite TV show?" Barley asked with a smirk because so far, she has only told her brothers. 

"(Favorite TV show)." 

Both Ian and Barley's jaws dropped when Jack said the right TV show, but they stood strong and kept asking questions. "What is your dream job?"

"I want to be a marine biologist or an actor/actress."

After a few more questions Barley started to get uncomfortable on the bed. He stood up and adjusted his vest. Jack's eyes widened when he saw the patches on Barley's vest. "I'm sorry for interrupting but is that the Emblem of Dragontor from Quests of Yore?" he/she asked.

The brothers looked at each other before turning back to Jack, "Y-yeah. You play?"

"Yep. I am always a druid."

"You wanna join our game?" Ian piped up, "We need to try and get out of this situation and you could help us as a druid."

"Okay, lets go."

~Meanwhile.....~

(Y/N) shut her laptop when the credits of the movie rolled across the screen. It's been like 20 minutes. She thought as she got up out of her bed and walked downstairs. What she found surprised her.  Jack, Ian and Barley were all huddled around the Quests of Yore board. She watched the people play a heated round, as her mom came up behind her. "I think you have a keeper (Y/N)." Laurel said. 

"Yep."

"Oh. (Y/N), we give you permission to keep dating Jack." Barley called from the table.
