Chapter 27 - Fireworks

Azy's POV

I woke up because of the sound of fireworks. I quickly check the time. It's 10 pm, i look around and saw Nate  sitting infront of his study table doing something.

"Hey, i thought its already twelve" i said and i hear him chuckle. "Wanna go out to the beach side? I'm really bored" he said,i simply nod my head. We got up and change our clothes, after that we went downstairs.

"Mom! Dad! We're going out!" sigaw ni Nate nang makababa kami, i look around then saw Ace sitting on the couch watching TV. "Saan naman kayo pupunta?" tanong ni Tito. "Umm, bibili lang kami ng roasted chestnuts" sabi ni Nate sabay hila sa akin palabas, naglakad kami hanggang sa marating na namin ng beach.

"Yah, bibili ka ba talaga ng roasted chestnuts?" tanong ko sa kanya. "Yes, I'm cravin' for it. Saka hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin na kaya tayo aalis eh kase ayaw natin kasama yung Ace na yon" sagot niya. Luminga linga siya sa tingin ko ay naghahanap ng mabibilan ng chestnuts.

"Are you pregnant? Ilang months?" biro ko sa kanya, nakahanap na siya ng mabibilhan ng gusto niya. He was shocked by my question so i laugh. "What?" walang emosyon niyang tanong sa akin. I laugh again. "Para kang naglilihi, bigla bigla nalang nacrave sa kung anu-ano" i said, then napansin ko na pati yung nagtitinda ay natawa sa sinabi ko.

"Hmm, it's like 8 months" he said. I'm amused because hindi ko akalain na sasakyan niya yung joke ko. "Oh, is it a boy or a girl?" i asked once again holding back my laughter. He then receives his food. "A dog" he said before putting chestnuts in his mouth. Then putting his hand on his tummy, slowly caressing it as if he's trully pregnant.

We walk and walk around the beach and it's getting cold. Luckily we have our own coats. We decided to sit on the sand, buti na nga lang mayroon nagtitinda ng picnic blanket for god knows what's the reason. Nate also decided to buy alcohol drinks.

"There's no way I'm drinking that" i said to him. He smirk. "You're my friend now so I'll teach you how to drink" he said as he open the bottle and handle it to me.

"Don't you miss your parents?" he suddenly ask. "I miss them....so much" i answer before sipping on my drink. "Okay lang sayo na wala sila ngayon?" he asked, i look at him then smile. "Sanay na ako, tbh I'm so glad that you bring me here. Atleast my holidays are not sad and lonely anymore. Thanks to you" i said as i take another sip on my drink.

*time skip*

Hindi ko na maalala kung ilang oras na kami nandito ni Nate. Maraming bottles na din ang nainom namin. And i guess may tama na kami pareho. Maayos pa naman ang paningin ko ngunit hindi ako makapag- isip ng matino. Napatingin ako kay Nate na nakatingin lang sa dagat.

"Hindi pa ba tayo uuwi?" i asked him. He hummed. "May fireworks dito maganda yon" sagot niya. Gosh, I'm sleepy. "How many more minutes!" tanong ko. Urgh! "Oh! It's 11:57" he said then giggles. I hummed as i lay my head on his shoulder.

"Hey! What are you doing? You're gonna miss the fireworks" he shouted at me. "Just a minute, im sleepy" i said then i heard him sigh. "No way!!" sabi niya sabay tulak ng ulo ko dahilan para mapahiga ako sa blanket. "Hmm, much comfortable" i said then i feel that he starts to move. I open my eyes to see Nate, on top of me.

"What are you doing?" tanong ko as i stared at him. Naramdaman ko ang pagsakit ng ulo ko. Damn bakit ba kase ako uminom. "Keeping you away from sleeping" he said as he stared back at me. Amoy na amoy ko ang alcohol sa kanyang hininga.

I couldn't speak, umikot ang paningin ko dahilan kung bakit ako napapikit. Damn alcohol. Napadilat ako nang maramdaman ko siya, he buried his face on the crook of my neck. Nakaramdam ako ng kiliti pero hindi ako makapagreact dahil sa pagkalasing ko.

"Nate, what are you doing" i ask once again. He lifted his head and look at me in the eyes. I admire his face, from his eyes, nose, and kiss chapped lips. I shift my gaze up to his eyes again and he caught me staring at his lips. He leans to meet my lips, its just a peck. That time, i feel like the fireworks on me will explode. "As i say, keeping you away from sleeping"

With that, he leans again for another kiss, not just a peck. Just when our lips met again the real fireworks explode. I hear a lot of people cheering and shouting but we don't seem to care. I couldn't react, im not even kissing him back. My eyes are still open and i can see him, eyes closed seems like he's enjoying the kiss even if I'm not kissing him back. People's shout didn't even make him flinch. His lips are busy moving softly on mine.

I felt his hand wrap around my waist. I was so lost in his kisses so i try to kiss him back. His grip tighten around my waist as i kiss him. I slowly wrap my arms on the back of his neck and return the kisses that he's giving me. He deepened the kiss, he licks my lower lip asking for entrance so i granted it. He tilt his head as he enters my mouth, he's exploring every inch of me. Mas lalo akong nalasing sa mga halik niya. Mas lalo akong nanghina. The only reason why we separate is because of the flashes of camera towards us.

"What did you guys just do?" i look at the person who spoke. It's Evan with Maxine. "Are you drunk?" tanong ni Maxine. "NO WE'RE NOT!!!" we shout in unison. Saka naman umikot ang paningin ko, damn natawa nalang ako. "I think they are" sagot ni Evan.

Evan and Maxine kept on dragging us. Sabi nila lasing daw kami pero hindi naman. They brought us to the cafe, urgh! Umupo kami ni Nate then si Evan ay bibili daw ng coffee. Nice! Coffee, hihihi. Si Maxine naman, nandun sa kabilang table, kasama ang gf niya with friends. Who knew that she's a lesbian. I look at Nate, his eyes are so sleepy. On his lap is the blanket that we bought. He's staring outside the window. Then he suddenly stand up, i look at him as he makes his way out of the café. I look outside the windows to see him, standing on the side of the road, waiting for the lights to turn red. Then finally he make his way on the other side of the road. I watch him as he give the blanket to the old man sitting there alone. My heart fluttered, pero nakuha ng atensyon ko ang pagtunog ng bell ng café, meaning na may pumasok.

"Oh damn" i whisper- shouted as i saw a man walk in. His gaze turn to me, i smirk devilishly. He smiles then walk towards me. "Hey beautiful" he said as he sits infront of me. I smiled cutely at him. "Are you here alone?" he ask then i nod. He smiles. Oh god!! "Can i get your number?" he ask again, i nod and grab my phone.

"You can't have her number" a voice said as i look up, i saw Nate piercing the guy in front of me with his cold gaze. He then sits beside me. "why?" tanong ng lalaki. I saw Nate glared at him.

"Cause she's mine"
