It started raining and I had an urge to write this. I LOVE RAIN! But Michael doesn't. (Not dating, SQUIP never happened)

Third person POV

Michael and Jeremy were playing AOTD in Jeremy's room, when it started raining. Jeremy thought nothing of it.

Michael on the other hand started getting worried. Hopefully it doesn't start thunder storming. I can't have Jeremy see what a pathetic loser I am. He thought, sinking more into his red beanbag.

"Michael! We just died, are you ok? You seem worried...." Jeremy said, snapping Michael out of his thoughts.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, let's just keep playing." He said quickly. Jeremy didn't look convinced but he said nothing.

After a few minutes it started thundering and lightning started to light the sky. The smell of rain flooded through Jeremy's open window (A/N I love that smell so much) and Jeremy got up to close his window so no rain could get in.

As soon as Jeremy closed the window Michael breathed a sigh of relief, but soon tensed up again as a loud crack of thunder sounded from the sky.

He let out a yelp and quickly grabbed a nearby pillow, burying his face in it.

Jeremy took note of this and sat beside Michael on the quite large beanbag.
"Michael, what's wrong?" He asked soothingly, gently running his hand through Michael's hair. Michael could've melted right then and there. But even his crush on his best friend didn't distract him from the thunderstorm.

"N-nothing, I-I swear, Jeremy." Michael stuttered.

Jeremy wasn't having any of this and gave Michael a 'tell. me.' type of look.
"Fine." Michael gave in. "I'm..... afraid of th-thunder s-storms."

"Oh, Michael, that's what you were afraid to tell me?" Michael nodded. "Michael that's totally fine, we all have our fears."

Michael looked up at Jeremy and blushed. He quickly looked away to hide his face. He then decided to do something risky. He started leaning into Jeremy's side.

Jeremy smiles softly at this and continued to run his hand through the other boy's hair. Jeremy slowly began to wrap his arms around the scared boy, and hoisted him up, bridal-style.

Michael let out a little yelp of surprise from being picked up but soon wrapped him arms around Jeremy.

Still not letting the boy go, Jeremy placed him on the bed and got under the covers with him.

There was another loud crack of thunder and soon after lightning pierced the sky, lighting up the room for a small second. Michael whimpered and snuggled closer to Jeremy, and Jeremy happily wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer.

He didn't know why but Jeremy loved protecting Michael, he wanted to make him feel safe, no matter what. And that's just what he did. Jeremy began humming a soft tune and gently combing Michael hair with his hand.

Soon enough Jeremy opened his eyes to find that Michael was fast asleep in his arms. He grinned like a dork and snuggled impossibly closer, cuddling his crush for 3 years.

He had no idea that Michael loved him too.
