i'm gonna try and include more chapters where they're already dating

third person pov
as we all know, michael and jeremy have been best friends for forever. they've also been dating for about 2 months, and it's the happiest both boys have ever been.

but there's one thing jeremy didn't know about michael. michael was terrified of loud noises.

and lucky him, it was the fourth of july. which meant annoying ass neighbors lighting off loud fireworks until 2am to celebrate a country he doesn't even want to be in. (hah same)

now jeremy never knew this since michael hid it fairly well, but sometimes you can't keep it in forever.

and the situation he was right now, huddled in a blanket fort in his basement, hugging the shit out of his Blinky ghost plushie, about to cry.

now this may not seem relevant but michaels basement had one of those windows that had a hole in the ground around it. (you know the ones)

jeremy was currently climbing into the hole in the ground and tapped on the window. why was he there, you might ask? he missed his riends.

michael jumped at the sudden noise and peeked out of his pillow and blanket fort. he sighed in relief when he realized it was just his adorable boyf, that he absolutely adored.

he walked over and slid open the window for jeremy.

"hey mocha." jeremy cooed. (not a typo, i hc that jer calls michael "mocha")

"h EY." michael said with a very convincing voice crack. jeremy face instantly twisted into one of concern and worry. michael loved this about his  boyf riend, he was so caring and knew exactly when michael wasn't doing good.

"mimi, what's wrong?" (another nickname i headcanon jeremy using)

"nothing jerry." he waved his hand dismissively.

jeremy hugged the taller boy and nuzzled his face into the tanner boys shoulder.

"what's wrong." jeremy sounded more demanding and yet soft at the same time. just as michael opened his mouth to speak, another firework went off.

he squeaked, might i add michael squeaks are very rare to hear but jeremy adores them, and hugged jeremy back.

"i-im scared of loud noises, wh-which includes          f-fireworks." he whimpered.

"michael..... that's kind of adorable." jeremy giggled.

"jeremyyyyy....." michael groaned, hiding his embarrassed face in the slightly shorter ones curly hair.

"what's all this?" jeremy pulls out of the hug and gestures to the pillow fort michael set up.

"oh, well, i make pillow forts when i'm scared. they help me relax."  michael murmured.

"is that the Blinky plushie i gave to you? you kept that?" jeremy asked.

"how could i not keep it? it's special." michael whispered as he led jeremy into the fort and cuddled into him.

"how's it special?" jeremy asks, grabbing the plush in his hands.

"because you gave it to me." michael replied sheepishly.

jeremy cuddled into michael more and kissed his forehead, setting michael in his lap (even though michaels taller), face to face.

another firework went off and michael flinched and remembered why he was scared in the first place.

jeremy hugged him tighter and whispered sweet nothings into his ear, casually stroking his hair.

"it's ok, nothings gonna harm you, not while i'm around." (anyone get the reference?) "you're safe." and so on.

and soon, the fourth of july was conquered thanks to the help of michael and his amazing boyf.

thanks for the suggesting! i need some more writing practice and this really helped.
