uhhh yea take this weird idea that i thought of in the middle of working
ignore the shitty writing, i'm very tired
jeremy's pov
'twas a normal day in the life of mine. ew, why am i talking like that, ok nevermind.
i'm so fucking bored.
bzzt!
ooh, perfect timing. a text from michael. i scrambled around my bed sheets until i found my phone, opening it a little too eagerly.
as i read, i started to not believe what the fuck i was reading.
mike: hey jere... i know this is probably gonna be awkward but uhh here goes. i think you're really cool, and i would like to hang out sometime, but like, as more than friends. umm yea. that's all
i almost screamed right then and there. MICHAEL WANTS TO BE MORE THAN FRIENDS????
ok calm down jeremy, you can't mess this up. this is a one time opportunity.
i typed out a text, and debated for a few minutes, before finally adding an emoticon at the end.
jere: i would love that, where would you like to go? <3
i smiled to myself, still slightly in shock.
mike: how about that local coffee shop, tomorrow, 1 pm?
jere: sure! sounds good :))
~tomorrow~
i threw on my usual striped t-shirt and cardigan, with some clean jeans. i was already running a bit late. michael did say 1 pm, right?
i rushed out of the door with my phone and wallet and got into my car, driving as fast as the speed limit could let me (and maybe a bit over)
(don't speed kids)
i parked and rushed into the coffee shop, getting a few stares. i ignored them and found an empty table, waiting for michael.
~5 mins~
i checked my phone, still nothing.
hmm, hopefully he's just running late. or he slept in. or he got too high the night before. possibilities are endless.
a waitress came around and i politely dismissed her, saying i was waiting for someone.
she smiled kindly and walked away.
~1:24 pm~
the waitress from earlier came by again, this time with a more sad look on her face. i finally decided that michael was just fucking with my feelings and didn't want to meet up.
and i thought i could actually trust him after everyone we've been through. heh.
i ordered a medium mint mocha.
a few minutes later i paid and exited the shop. might as well get my coffee if i'm here.
i slumped into the drivers seat of my car and drove home in silence.
welp, time to go home and cry. haha so funny.
michaels pov
ahhhh, i was so excited to meet jeremy for a date. an actual date! i've waited like, 3 years to ask jeremy out and as soon as i suspected he felt the same way, i finally made a move.
took me long enough, honestly.
i didn't dress that fancy since we've know each other for so long, just a normal graphic tee and some nice jeans.
i shoved my wallet and phone in my pocket and i was just about to leave when—
bzzt! (420 words)
i quickly pulled my phone out of my pocket.
jere: fuck you
i looked at my phone, utterly confused. quickly, i typed back a response.
mike: uhh what?
jere: you just fucking stood me up, jerk.
mike: what, jer?
read 1:50 pm
i re-read my original meet up text.
mike: how about that local coffee shop, tomorrow, 1 pm?
oh fuck. that's a typo. i thought i typed 2 pm.
well, shit. i'm an idiot.
i rushed out the door after throwing on my hoodie. i ran as fast as my unfit legs could carry me to jeremy's house.
knocking on the door rapidly, i hoped and prayed jeremy didn't hate me too much to not open the door.
i hear the lock click and the door opened.
"what the fuck do you want?" jeremy hissed. (666 words) i could see tear stains under his eyes and he look slumped over and sad.
"i— listen jeremy. i completely fucked up—"
"great, i already knew that though. goodbye." he tried to slam the door in my face but i quickly put my foot in the door. which hurt like hell, might i add.
"gah, ow. look, please let me explain. i promise, i really do like you." i pleaded.
jeremy's eyes still held uncertainty, but he let me in the house. i stepped in, took off my shoes (like a polite house guest) and took of my hoodie, holding it in front of me for him to take.
"you think giving me your hoodie is gonna make up for it?" he rolled his eyes, crossing his arms across his chest.
"jeremy, i made a typo. it's as simple as that. my finger pressed the wrong key and i typed 1 instead of 2 pm. i really did wanna go out with you. still do." i smiled.
"honest?"
"honest." i nodded.
jeremy sighed and took the hoodie from my arms. he put it on and my heart almost fucking melted. "you look really cute." i say under my breath.
"s-shut up." he stammered, walking towards the living room couch. he sat down and patted the spot next to him. i sat down and he immediately hugged me right.
"i'm sorry for doubting you, michael." he mumbled.
"no jere, you shouldn't apologize. it's obviously jeff bezos' fault." i laughed.
"true." he smiled back.
"now how about a movie?" i asked, grabbing the remote and throwing my arm around jeremy's shoulders, pulling him closer.
"as long as you're here, i don't care what we do... wait, michael, i swear if you take that out of context."
i started giggling, mumbling "that's what she said."
then jeremy slapped my arm.
and then we watched sonic or something idk.
i'm tired goodnight
