jeremy and michael haven't met in this, they're still juniors in highschool tho also no capital letters since i'm lazy

Michaels POV

oh god. oh god, fuck. there's someone following me. i think as i see someone out of the corner of my eye. they've been following me all the way since school ended. i have my car keys in my hand, just in case.

ok i have to do something. i walk up to a random house (don't do this in real life unless you know it's safe) and knock on the door, praying that they'll help me.

my house is a long ways away and my cars in the shop so i couldn't drive home. i has to do something. a cute boy around my age answers the door. he has chestnut hair and blue eyes, and is about my height.

"hey dude, i'm here for the sleepover." i say, trying to communicate with my eyes that someone's following me.

he seems confused until he sees said creepy guy, watching both of us. "please let me in, i'll leave as soon as they're gone." i whisper to the boy. he nods and lets me in.

"oh yea, i totally forgot about the sleepover." he says, playing along. he lets me in and slams the door, locking it.

Jeremys POV

as soon as i lock the door, this guy hugs me, mumbling a bunch of "thank you"s. what the hell am i supposed to do? hug back? i mean he is pretty cute..... no stop it, brain. not the time.

i decide to hug him back as i realize he's crying. "hey, it's ok. what happened?" i ask.

"i-i don't know, th-there was s-someone f-following me. i didn't know what to do, so i went to this house." he sniffled.

"ok that's fine, you can stay here until he's gone. here let's sit on the couch." i explain, calmly. he nods.

"so, what's your name?" he says, as he sits down.

"oh, i'm jeremy." i said.

"c-cool. i'm michael." he said back. i nod.

"hey, you kinda look familiar." michael says. "do you go to middleborough?" he asks.

"yea. how come i've never seen you?" i ask.

we continue talking and i found out we actually have a lot in common. we both love videogames and retro things. we're both the school losers and we both had anxiety.

we decided to play some mario kart that night, and he asked his moms if he could sleep over, and that he did.

after we set up an air mattress next to my bed, we continued to play videogames. but in the middle of rainbow road, he started to drift off the course, continuously.

i glanced to the side, and saw the most adorable sight. michael, eyes half-lidded, trying his best to stay awake, and jolting up constantly.

i focused back on the screen, but after a few minutes i felt something on my shoulder. i looked to see michaels head on my shoulder.

my cheeks flushed up, and i smiled softly. i turned the game off and picked him up, bridal style, and set him on the air mattress as he fell asleep.

i got into my own bed and drifted off to sleep, as well. it was a weird way to meet, but i'm glad it happened. i thought to myself.
