third person pov
it was a pretty normal day at lunch, michael and christine were sitting at the squip squad table waiting for everyone else. out of the corner of his eye, michael saw jeremy enter the lunch room and he looked over to see jeremy smile at him and start walking over.

michael stopped functioning over that smile. he slammed his hands down on the table, startling christine in the process, and whispered to her, "that's fucking it! i'm killing him!"

christine sighed, "or you can just man up, and ask him out?"

"k-killing him is.....easier..." michael murmured before shutting up when jeremy sat down next to him.

michael slowly reached for his plastic knife, but christine nonchalantly, with a deadpan expression, grabbed it out of his hands and put it on her own tray. michael was about to reach for it again, when christine gave him a 'don't-you-dare' type look.

michael sighed and continued to eat his lunch and slushee. "hey micha! how's your day been?"

the boy in the hoodie looked over at his best friend and replied (not before staring at jeremy for a millisecond), "i mean, it was pretty good. not the same without you though. it sucks that we don't have classes together until after lunch."

"yeah, i miss last semester when we had more classes with each other." jeremy complained. michael smiled a bit, knowing that his best friend actually cared about him and missed him as much as he did.

soon, the other people arrive at the table and start talking.

ok, i'm gonna do it. michael thought to himself as he took a deep breath.

"jer, can i talk to you in the hallway?" the tan boy questioned.

the freckled one nodded and they both walked out of the lunch room. it was much quieter in the hallways, michael noted, and slowly began his 'speech'.

"jeremy... you know how we've been friends for 13 years now?" jeremy nods, "and since we've been so close, i've sorta developed feelings for you... and i was wondering if you'd want to go out with me?"

"yes." jeremy smiled like an idiot.

"wait wha—"

"i said yes! micha, i have feelings for you too!" jer said as he almost knocked michael over in a hug.

michael got his balance, and hugged back just as tight. michael pulled away just enough to kiss jeremy on his nose, to which he crinkled his nose on contact.

michael always thought that his nose scrunches were adorable. and he could finally say that out loud.

"you're adorable." michael muttered. jeremy blushed and grabbed the others hand and dragged him back to the lunch table.

they both sat down and jeremy hugged michael from the side.

"so you didn't kill him?" christine asked.

"whuh?" jeremy asked. michael gave her a glance saying 'don't explain it'. christine continued anyway.

"mike said he would kill you instead of asking you out because, and i quote, 'killing him is easier.'"

jeremy burst out laughing while everyone just gave confused glances and michael grumbled under his breath. the entire squip squad never really understood jeremy and michaels friendship, they were a very confusing pair, but they liked the pair either way.

"thso you're finally dating?" rich said.

jeremy and michael looked at each other. they hadn't made it 'official' but they both knew they wanted to. so after looking at each other for a solid 10 seconds, they faced rich and said at the same time,

"we're boyf riends."

everyone let out a bunch of 'finally's and 'i knew it!'s

michael just giggled and kissed jeremys nose again. the freckled boy smiled and wrapped his arms around the other tightly.

'we're boyf riends' it felt good to say that to each other.

one more for the night
