Chapter 17_JungKook Begins

Jungkook closed his eyes as he was brought to an unknown place, well that was at first. He looked around and immediately recognized his hometown and especially his school. He kept an eye on the school as he could see movements at the corner of his eyes, yet he had no idea if it was just his imagination or something real.
He decides to walk towards the school gate but each movement is more uneasy than the previous one. As he heads to the front gate a sudden sound could be heard and as he looks at a quick pace, all he sees are the scattered birds flying away.

“Am i imagining things or is this some kind of horror scene..*giggles* “.. Jungkook says while looking at the place where the sound came from.

A few minutes has past and Jungkook still finds himself looking at the same spot. He turns around and just inside the school he sees movements. He runs towards the gate yet the gate was closed. He then remembers when he and the gang were younger they would arrive late and unlock the gate themselves but just the memory put a sad smile on his face.
Jungkook took a few minutes before snapping out of his thoughts and does his work, with unlocking the gate. He successfully does it and hurries inside, looking for whoever or whatever was moving around inside the school grounds.
Jungkook runs around the grass area in search for this unidentified movements but deep down he felt burning as he comes closer to the other side of the school. He takes the turn and immediately sees something or rather someone.

“This.. This can’t be.. I mean how.. How can she... No *slaps head*.. This is in my head”.. Jungkook says while repeatedly slapping his head.

Jungkook was about to walk away when the sudden sound of footsteps stopped him. He turned around and was now face to face with the person. He started tearing up as this person kept approaching him. He wipes away his tears and takes a few steps closer as well.

“You got more handsome Jungkookie... I mean I missed you..”.. The mysterious girl says while touching his head.

Jungkook felt the touch of her hand on his head and was surprised as this felt more real than he thought. He kept looking at her with big eyes but he knew this was not real, but it felt real. He then lifted his hand as he tried touching her cheek but his hand went right through.
Jungkook immediately takes a few steps back and stunned by what just happened looks at her and she was not there anymore.
He looks around as he tries to find her but there was no sign of her anywhere. Jungkook runs back outside the school ground but sees the city of rather his hometown is no more. He knew this was all in his head but just the thought of how she was able to touch him got him thinking even deeper.

“You are too focused on the less important.. Jeon Jungkook.. “.. Someone says from behind the tree..

Jungkook looks towards the sound of someone speaking and at that very moment someone comes out. He then continues to walk towards Jungkook but just as he was about to reach him, someone or rather the girl Jungkook was with a few minutes ago pulls him towards her and runs away with him. The two come to what seemed like an old classroom and it was then that the girl took her hair away from her face.
Jungkook who was too busy looking around the classroom to notice the girl revealing her face, was stunned when he saw her reflection in the window. He turned around so fast even the girl was surprised by this.

Jungkook:.. How can this be..
Unknown: You don’t know what’s happening...
Jungkook:.. I have a feeling of what it may be. But I’m not 100% sure..
Unknown:.. You are being *************

Jungkook looks towards her as the words was silent. He looks at her with a confused face and she could see what that meant. She turns around to try and write it on the board but for some reason the words kept erasing itself. Jungkook and the girl looked at each other as they had no other idea on how to tell him.
Jungkook then walked towards her and just smiled.

“I’m really happy.. Just to have you here with me... Madelyn..”.. Jungkook says while attempting to hug her..

Jungkook then goes right through her and lands head first again the board. Madelyn could not help but laugh at this, and Jungkook just looked at her laughing face and a smile appeared on his as well. Jungkook got up with the help of Madelyn but he held his head as it kind of hurt from the bump.
The two then took a walk to a nearby chair and sat while they try and catch up, but Jungkook knew they didn’t have much time. He began holding his chest as he felt the burning sensation again, and still had no idea what it all meant.
He looks at Madelyn and she wanted to tell him what it meant but then she remembers that she could not tell him as her words come up blank.
Jungkook looks at her and back at the window and sees the Town getting more and more dark but he had no idea what to do. He himself knew he was out of options.

“You are too focused on unimportant things Jungkook...”.. A voice was suddenly heard..

Jungkook and Madelyn turned and looked at the door so fast as the words of the man gave them Goosebumps. Jungkook tried to stand up but the burning got worse than before. He falls over and passes out, but before he lost consciousness...

Madelyn: He doesn’t have much time left..
Unknown: That’s because he was focused on you.. Instead of his Task...
Madelyn: Yes... I know.. *smirks*..

Jungkook passes out but the smirk on Madelyn's face could be seen as he closes his eyes.

[2Hours Later]

Normal POV
Jungkook slowly opens his eyes and the sunlight burns it as he realizes the sun is out which means its afternoon already. He tries to lift himself up but feels the heaviness of his body, yet he knew he had to stand up. Jungkook grabs the chair and sits on it but all the memories of what just happened comes filling his head so quick he did not have enough time to think.
He looks to the roof of the classroom and sees nothing but white paint and as he was about to give up, he suddenly remembers the words..

“You are too focused on unimportant things...”.. Jungkook eyes became big at remembering those words

He then stands up and heads outside towards the front gate and sees its still open and the pace of him got faster as he heads to his starting line. He who is Jungkook stood on the same spot he started and again thinks of beginning where he was set.
He walks again towards the school, only difference this time is there was no one waiting for him there. He then remembers the sound of the birds flying away and starts running in that direction.
He comes to a stop as he sees the same birds again, only problem is they all are.....

“The Hell!!!.. “.. Jungkook screams as he stood on his spot..

He walks towards the area where blood is splattered and tries to avoid the puddle but a piece of his shoes gets some. He walks closer and sees the amount of birds dead, lying in their own pool of blood. Jungkook looks up and sees nothing out of the ordinary but deep down he felt like there is something off about this.
Jungkook looks towards the door in front of him and starts walking towards it but it was just at that moment when a bird flaps her wings and Jungkook stops immediately. He lifts the bird and holds her in his hands and he knew he could help her with her problem. He hurries back towards the school but for some reason the school was no longer there.
He turns around and sees the Town disappearing as well. Jungkook then hurries inside what looked like an abandoned hideout and tries to find  anything to help the bird but he found nothing.
Jungkook then sees the glowing behind a certain desk and tries to approach it as carefully as he can, but the closer he gets the more the bird moves. He then steps back and sees the further he gets away from the desk, the more the bird calms down.
Jungkook then steps back towards the door and then carefully puts the bird down on what seemed like a broken table and immediately removes his jacket and grabs his shirt and uses the already torn part to use it as a bandage.
He takes the birds injured areas and uses the water he found somewhere close by to try and remove some of the bloody. He then uses the last bit of shirt bandage to cover up the birds injured areas and finally relaxes as he lets the bird rest on his legs.

“This is some strange town.. I mean why is it changing and killing birds.. “.. Jungkook thought to himself.

A few minutes past and yet it felt like hours for Jungkook, as he realized he had fallen asleep. He gets up from his spot and sees the bird is still sleeping peacefully and then sat back down as he wants the bird to heal before he moves again.
Jungkook was about to fall back asleep when he suddenly felt the birds wings beginning to flap again but this time faster than before. He opens his eyes and just like that he felt an immense evil coming from the spot he was not suppose to go.
Jungkook slowly lifted himself of from the floor and noticed something dark appearing from the area and yet there was no one or rather no living thing there. He tried to stand up but from fear of this whole scene, his body refused to move. Jungkook was about to turn around and head back out when...

“You seem to think I don’t know of your presence Jeon Jungkook..”.. The unknown Shadow spoke..

Jungkook turns around immediately trying to peek over the table but the dark shadow seems to have disappeared. He slowly stood up and at that very moment the bird started flapping its wings once again, only this time faster than before. Jungkook noticing this, felt something was off, it was as if the bird was scared of something.
Jungkook turns around to where the bird was looking and just like that came face to face with the shadowy figure. He stumbled backwards from the shock and landed butt first on the ground. The immediate shock on the ground made him lose the grip he had on the bird and thus the bird fell out of his hand.
Jungkook notices the bird bleeding from its wings as the fall might have injured him again yet he himself could not find the courage to move.

Jungkook: What.. What was that...
Shadow: It seems you saw me... Right..
Jungkook: You.  You..
Shadow: That’s right Jungkook.. I’m You..

Jungkook POV
Jungkook looks at the shadowy figure from top to bottom and realizes that what he is saying is all true. The truth being that right at this very moment Jungkook is looking at himself, but in a darker and way more scarier way.
He picks himself up and tries to run but each and every door seems to have disappeared. He tries the windows but it won’t budge. Everything around him became a total blockage and he had no idea how to solve or rather escape from this nightmare.
Jungkook began turning to his shadowy self and sees the smirk it had on its face, yet he wasn’t going to let this intimidate him. He took a few breaths in and out and tried to calmly solve this issue. He turns his head to the floor and notices the blood and immediately remembered the bird. He followed what looked like blood trials and saw the blood getting bigger and bigger and as he open the kitchen door he comes upon a body.
He was completely shocked at what he has found and took a few steps back but his back was against his shadowy self chest.

Dark Jungkook: Oops.. Watch where you’re going..
Jungkook: *takes deep breaths in and out*.. What is wrong with her..??
Dark Jungkook: This my dear Jungkook is all your doing...
Jungkook: *turns around*.. What do you mean...??
Dark Jungkook: I’m part of this world because of you.. And she *points at the girl*.. Is too.. Yet..
Jungkook: Yet what..!!!.. Tell me dammit.!!!!
Dark Jungkook: Your evil desire has taken over.. And she and I was the light that kept you together.. Yet your Darkness.. Your evil desire has become so great that it turned me into this.. And put her *points at the girl*..in a near death stage..
Jungkook: I don’t understand.. This is just some nightmare.. A test... A dream...
Dark Jungkook: No. Jungkook... This is reality...
Jungkook: But.....
Dark Jungkook: Taehyung did this so you can fight the evil within yourself.. I mean.. How can you help him defeat his evil.. When you can’t even handle your own..

Normal POV
Jungkook stops in his tracks as he hears those words from his evil side. He knew this was something he could not ignore, especially coming from someone who seems to know exactly what’s happening. Jungkook turns around and was face to face with his dark side and tries to smile but with each attempt he failed miserably.
The dark side of Jungkook began walking the other way yet he knew something was about to happen yet even he himself could not be sure what. He turns towards Jungkook again and at that every moment the two of them heard footsteps outside.
Jungkook who was first to crouch down looked at his dark side and the shock he felt could not be described. He was looking at his dark side and all he could see and felt was fear coming from him.
The dark side Jungkook knew he was letting too much of his fear leak out and it could hurt Jungkook in a very bad way yet he could not help it.

“Jungkook.. I think its time you took that bird and run as fast as you can....”.. The Dark Jungkook said as he kept his eyes on the outside.

Jungkook POV
Jungkook grabbed the bird but as he does that he looks back at the bloody body and it was nowhere to be seen. He runs out the back door and through the streets. He was a few metres away when he suddenly hears a massive explosion and couldn’t help but look at the spot the smoke was coming.

“That’s the same place... *He* was..”.. Jungkook says as he kept looking back..

Jungkook who was in the clear ran faster and faster but a sudden pain was felt through his whole body. He couldn’t bear it and fell down, luckily for him the once bloody body was there and helped him with the landing.
He looked up from the spot and realized where his head was. The sudden redness on his face was seen as he realizes that he has fell head first into the woman’s boobs. He looks up and sees that the body belonged to a woman.
He gets up from the spot and tries to wake her up but the pain is getting deeper and hurts more than before. Jungkook turns around and looks at the smoke rising from the cafe and a tear left his eyes.

“Just what is happening.. This was suppose to be a dream.. Yet why is this feeling more like reality”...

Jungkook lifts himself up and heads towards the nearby bench but helps the girl as he heads towards the spot. He took a few deep breaths as he was exhausted as well as in pain..

Jungkook: I wonder if my dark side is okay...
Jungkook:.. Was he the cause of that explosion.. Or what... JUST WHAT IS HAPPENING..

Normal POV
Jungkook screams at the sky as he says those words. He felt the whole dream or test thing was getting too much for him. He stood up from his spot and headed towards a place that looked like an abandoned house. He who was now too tired to carry the woman’s body looked back as he felt sad about leaving her, sees that she was nowhere to be seen.
Jungkook shocked by this turns back and tries to figure it out but something was pulling him towards that house. He leaves the spot and ran as fast as he could towards the abandoned house. A few metres away he sees or rather felt movement in his pocket and it felt similar to the bird.
He smiles as he knows now that the bird is safe.

(20minutes Later)
Jungkook finally arrives at the house and heads inside but as he opens the gates a dog comes running towards him at a quick pace. He was stunned but then felt relieved as the dog was not after him in a bad way. Jungkook crouch down and plays with the dog and smiles as he knew this dog just made a bad situation good again.
Jungkook gets up and heads inside but was stopped by the dog, and instead of leading him inside the dog bit his hand and lead him toward the backyard
Jungkook was stunned by this but kept looking at the house yet for some reason he felt nothing was wrong with it.
Jungkook stopped and so did the dog yet the dog had a worried look on his face. Jungkook took steps closer to the house door and as he was about to open the door....

Unknown: I wouldn’t go in there Kookie..

Jungkook turns around and looks at where this voice came from yet there was no one around. He turns towards the dog and back at the door, yet nothing made sense. He took steps back and looked at the door again.

Unknown: This is the house.  Where Taehyung lost half of his soul..

Jungkook once again turns around and looked at every possible part of this neighbourhood yet nothing or rather no one was around.

Jungkook: Who are you..???.. *Jungkook screamed while looking around*..
Unknown: Do not enter that door Kookie...
Jungkook: Show yourself... NOW!!!!
Unknown: Look down...

Jungkook looks down and came face to face with the bird yet she was all healed up. He took her out of his pocket and held her in his hands. Jungkook looked at her from head to feathers and felt confused yet not confused..

Unknown: I see you’re not surprised by this..
Jungkook: Yeah nothing surprises me anymore...

[Inside Jungkook's head]
“THE FUDGE... FIRST DEMONS... AND ANGELS AND NOW TALKING BIRDS... WHAT TYPE OF NIGHTMARE IS THIS...”
[Back to present]

Jungkook POV
Jungkook looks at the bird and puts her down slowly. He again looks at the surrounding areas and can’t help but laugh as this whole dream or test keeps getting weird with each stage.
Jungkook then turns his head and looks at the dog..

Jungkook: I take it you can talk as well... *lifts eyebrow*
Bird: Nope he is just a dog... *giggles..*..
Jungkook: Oh sh*t.. I’m losing it... *scratches head*...
Bird:.. The reason I told you not to go inside is because...
Jungkook: Something about Taehyung right...
Bird:.. Well let me talk to you in a better way..

Normal POV
The bird flies out of Jungkook's hands and took flight yet did not go far as she suddenly turned into a beautiful young lady. Jungkook was stunned as this lady turned into someone he knew very well.

Jungkook: The Hell!!!!
Bird Lady:... Hello Jeon Kookie..
Jungkook: LISA!!!!
