Maybe This Time

Day 1

"Beh gising na gutom na ko" I woke up to Jho's voice. "lunch time na kain na tayo pls" she added. "I'm still sleepy" I answered with my sleepy voice. "Bumangon ka na diyan Beatriz, isa!" Jho with her serious voice. Shit here comes her other side when she's hungry. Hearing that voice woke me up in an instant. "Eto na eto na po. Good morning beh! Ang ganda ng Bacolod bawal mainit ulo😊" I said.  I flashed my biggest smile and hugged her. "Mag-aayos na po. Hanap ka na kakainan natin" I added and rushed to the toilet to fix myself.

Luckily there's a restaurant near our hotel. Like few minutes walk lang. We ordered Bacolod's famous, Chicken Inasal, of course that's what they're known for and it's not everyday where we get to try the original chicken inasal right.

"Hala JhoBea! Hello po!! Pwede po magpapicture? Fan niyo po ako sobra huhuh" A girl approached us. Of course we said yes and took a picture with her then she left na din agad. Jho and I looked at each other then laughed. "Mukang sasabog ang notifs natin mamaya beh" Jho.

Kim G texted. I showed it to Jho and we checked our phones, "Ayan na beh nagsisimula na yung shippers natin HAHAHA." "Look they're making hashtags for the 'ganaps' daw" I said. These fans are so witty hahaha. "This is a good one! #wheninBEHcolod" I showed Jho the tweet. "ay pak gusto ko yan! HAHAHA" we laughed out loud.

Since Jho and I just walked going back to the hotel, when we got to the lobby Kim and Gizelle were there na din. "Eto na pala yung famous friends natin na trending eh" Gizelle shouted which made some of the people look at us🤦‍♀️ I'm so shy. "Gi ang ingay mo! Nakakahiya" I said and lightly slapped her arm. "Wow may energy na si Bea nakatulog na. Kanina lang sa airport kala mo hangin eh" Gi. Oh my gosh why am I friends with these people.

"So saan tayo today?" I asked when we got into the hotel room. "Exactly, since this is a very spontaneous trip wala pa kayong itinerary. Let's fix it first and then we'll see kung saan tayo later" Kim, well she's right hahah but we trust them naman, sila ni Gi, kaya we didn't bother thinking of those things when we had time.

"What time ulit flight niyo pabalik ng manila?" Gizelle "Gabi pa naman mga 8?" Jho answered. "Oh okay then sa last day niyo nalang tayo mag visit ng The Ruins" Kim. Jho and I are just here agreeing to their plans. "and then beach tomorrow!" Gizelle. "Today? Anong ganap natin? Bukod sa libre ni Kim yung dinner HAHAHA" Jhoana. "Kayo ni Bea madaming ganap sa twitter... Joke! Alam ko kakakain niyo lang pero hindi naman kayo nabubusog eh. Foodtrip?" Kim. It's food and we all love it so we said yes.

True enough Bacolod is more than just the Chicken Inasal. They made us try Piaya, which Jho is already familiar with. "Oh my gosh this is so good! I can eat loads of these" I said with my mouth almost full pa. "Di obvious beh parang makaka-sampu ka na ata diyan. Oh eto pa 'ah'" Jho said before feeding me the last bite of her piaya. What can I say? I just love food so much.

We are on the way to our next destination now, which is according to Kim and Gi, a museum. "Oh shit I forgot something!" I said while the 3 looked at me. "Ha? Ano?" They all asked sounding kind of panicked? Medj malayo na kasi kami from where we were kanina. "I forgot to buy those packed Piayas. It would be a good midnight snack you know?" I said then they all put their palms on their faces. "Ay jusko Beatriz akala ko naman anong importante." Jho "Oh yan binilhan kita alam kong maghahanap ka niyan." She handed me a bag full of Piaya. "Yey thank you so much beh! You know me so well. Love you!" I hugged her.

"And here goes the JhoBea tandem again! So Kim naniniwala ka ba sa Team Real?" Gizelle. "Of course Gi, JhoBea is real! HAHAH" Kim. "Kayong dalawa talaga, tsk" I said and just laughed it out. "Kayo? Bea? Jho? What's your stand? Team Real ba?" Gizelle with a teasing look. "Real naman talaga ah? Well 'friendship goals' nga kami ni Bea diba? Diba beh?" Jho answered and I just nodded. "Alam niyo kayong dalawa hahanapin ko kayo ng love life para you're not bullying us" I said and the four of us just laughed out loud, sakto we're here na din.

We're now here at the Negros Museum. If you guys don't know yet, I love history. I love learning about other places' culture. It's the story behind everything which fascinates me and makes everything beautiful on its own. While Jho, obviously based on her course, she's into arts. Her passion and appreciation for arts is definitely undeniable. Thus, it's safe to say that aside from the beach, one place we'd both love to visit is a museum.

The tour guide told us that everything in this museum, from the objects, the figurines, up to the paintings, tells a story about the people of Negros before. I looked at Jho and she seems fascinated with everything around us as well.

"Bei baka matunaw" Gizelle. "Huh?" I said. "Si Jho. Baka matunaw" she whispered. I don't get it. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well last time I checked we went here to see the paintings, antique collections, and stuff. Di ko naman alam si Jho lang pala gusto mo tignan" she explained. "Baliw ka talaga. And fyi I was looking at the painting no not at her" I said. "Okay dont be defensive hahah" she teased.

I don't know what's with our teammates recently. They all know naman how clingy we are talaga as a person. You can just imagine what kind of a friendship we have, 2 clingy people close to each other. Nah maybe we really just like teasing and kidding each other. Nevermind, I'll just shrug it off.

"Kelangan natin mag save ng energy for tomorrow, the beach! Soo punta na tayo sa house?" Kim. "Sure sure medj pagod na din ako" Jho.

Gizelle, Jho, and I had no sleep before our flight. We were able to nap in the plane naman and when we arrived at the hotel but since we had few hours of sleep and hindi pa tuloy tuloy, we can feel the exhaustion na din. The activities we did today are not bad na din for our first day. Thanks to Kim and Gizelle who toured us around their hometown.

"Hello mga hija welcome! How's your first day dito sa Bacolod? Maganda ba?" Kim's mom asked us as she welcomed us in thier house. "Yes tita the foods are definitely good" I said "and ang ganda po ng place ang refreshing" Jho. "And I missed home hahah" Gizelle.

"good to hear that. Malamang pagod kayong tatlo dahil sabi nitong si Kim kaninang madaling araw lang din daw ang flight niyo papunta dito?" Kim's mom, while the we nodded. "O siya magpahinga muna kayo saglit diyan at comfort food naman ang niluluto ko. Do you guys want water? Or juice? Kim bigyan mo sila" she added and went back to the kitchen.

We are playing with Kim's siblings while waiting for Tita to call us. I love playing with kids but idk why, some of them, ang sarap din asarin sometimes right. "Oh Bea wag mo paiiyakin yang bata ha" Jho warned me. "Excuse me Im good with kids kaya. Ikaw Jho wag mo takutin yung bata tsktsk" I said. She just made a face on me and continued to play with the kids. See? they always say that I'm the isip bata one but she's just exactly the same as me. "Sinasabi ko sayo Bei, baka nga matunaw." Gizelle. Ugh here she goes again. Sakto din naman that Kim's mom said that the dinner is ready na so I just rolled my eyes at her and mouthed "whatever" while she laughed at me.

True enough we were served with a comfort food. "Tita what do you call this food po? It's so good comfort food nga talaga" I said. "Ito ang original Batchoy. Isa talaga yan sa mga sikat na comfort food dito samin." Tita said. "Kain lang ng kain mga iha" she added. After a long tiring day, this is indeed comforting.

After eating, few chikahan and then we left na din since maaga daw kami tomorrow and it was a long
day for Jho, Gizelle, and I. Gizelle drove us back to our hotel and dropped us off nalang. "Thanks baby Gi! See you tomorrow drive safe" I said. "Bei ha wag tunawin" Gizelle answered. Gosh 🤦‍♀️ "hay nako whatever goodnight" I facepalmed.
