Chapter 17

Mahoganys POV**

I saw cupcakes in jack Js hands and I couldn't resist. Melissa also has a smile on her face so jack did his job.

"Felling better?" I asked hoping she says yes

"Yes, I'm fine" Melissa smiled

"We gotta go shopping" I smiled widely

"Can I come?" jack asked

"Sure, Melissa you coming?" I asked

"Yes, I just gotta go put on makeup" she got off the bed

"No need, you look perfect" I pointed out

"Thanks" she said. I stood behind her and out on a neat bun on her. I finished and looked at her neck and noticed her necklace wasn't there. I looked at her left wrist and she doesn't have her bracelet on but that's not the only thing I've noticed.

"Jack can I talk to you quickly, privately?" I asked

"Yeah, what's wrong" he pulled me to the hallway. I closed the door so she couldn't hear.

"Melissa cuts herself" I blurted

"Yeah I know but they turned into scars" he said as if it's not a big deal

"Fresh cuts" I slapped his arm

"I told her not to do it again" he opened the door and walked to Melissa

"Melissa" he grabbed her hand. he looked down and saw her fresh cuts. she looked in his eyes and noticed what he was staring at.

"Jack I'm sorry I couldn't help myself! I've gotten hurt many times and crying doesn't seen to work! Matthew is busy with his girlfriend and I'm sorry" she apologized

Jack Js POV**

I thought I told her to stop. I care about her so much and she did it once again. It was deeper this time. I'm angry but sad at the same time and I don't know what to do. a tear threatening to come out. I let it fall and I looked up at her. I hugged her tightly and I felt her arms wrap around me.

"I told you not to do it" I mumbled into her shoulder

"I couldn't help it, it's the only thing I can do to let out my pain and I'm sorry" she spoke into my ear

"Let's go shopping then" I said pulling away

"Yes" she agreed and we got out of the room after she got ready.

Melissa is the only thing I've been focusing on. I haven't noticed I bought a bra until Mahogany told me. I can't refund It. Melissa is only talking about Hayes and I want her to forget about him.

We got to a store and we went inside it. I grabbed a shirt off the rack and it's a 'bring me the horizon' band shirt. one of her favourites. I went to go pay for it.

"Melissa! come here" I yelled and a lady told me to be quiet. after she looked away I mocked her. no one tells jack to shut up!

"Yeah" she said as she approached me

"I got you a shirt" I gave it to her. her lips were parted.

"And I already paid for it" I added before she could speak.

"Thanks jack" she hugged me. she's very warm and she smells like flowers:) we are going to magcon soon and it's 11 so we have to go.i pulled away from the hug

"Dude we have to go to the meet and greet" I reminded them and they gave me a look

"I forgot" I defended

"Ok" we paid for the clothes and got in the car.

We ran to Matthews room where everyone is. Hayes was there. I could feel the tension in the air between Melissa and Hayes

"Where were you guys?" Matthew asked

"The mall" I answered

"Well are you ready we are going now" Matthew said.

Melissa's POV**

It feels awkward being in the same room as him. I could feel him looking at me. I looked down.

"Melissa can I talk to you?" Hayes asked

"No!" I said immediately

"Fine" he finally left. Tears brimming my cheeks and my eyes are now red. I ran to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. I looked in the mirror. I continue crying silently. I took out my phone from my pocket.
I had a text from Tess:

Sorry Melissa. sorry if I ever hurt you. I just really liked Hayes and maybe we can be friends

Why did she text me? She should've talked to me in person. I walked out of the bathroom and approached Matthew. He was the only one in the room.

"Hey Melissa, should you be with Hayes?" he asked and I immediately became speechless.

"W-We b-broke up" I stuttered
he hugged me and said

"What happened?" he asked

"He had another girlfriend" I mumbled

"But it's fine, I deserve it" I added.

"You don't deserve this" he said

"It is, I kissed Shawn and you know that. I also like him" I told him and he pulled away and looked into my eyes. He looked shocked

"You like Shawn?" he asked in disbelief

"Why do you think I kissed him?" I bit my lip

"You said it didn't mean anything!" he raised his voice

"Well I said it didn't mean much!" I said

"Well go in the limo then" he said calmly and flashed a smile. I really do like Shawn. he's cute and has an amazing voice. he's also very nice and sweet.
