Chapter 28

Shawn's POV**

I saw Melissa kissing Hayes and tears are now forming in my eyes. I looked down to Aaliyah and she was also shocked. I walked away and Aaliyah followed.

"Look Shawn I'm so sorry" she apologized but what for? it's not like she controls Melissa

"It's fine Melissa!" I said

"I'm Aaliyah" she stopped

"Yeah Aaliyah ok I'm going now" I continued to walk.

Melissa's POV**

How did this happen? why am I kissing Hayes?

"Hayes?!" I shouted

"What Mel? what's wrong babe?" he cupped my cheek

"Stop!" I slapped his hand away

"Im going now!" I walked away. he grabbed my wrist which hurts right now

"What!?" I said through gritted teeth

"I love you" he simply said

"Don't ever tell Shawn about that kiss!" I said

"But-" he said

"DONT EVER TELL HIM!" I said as I'm extremely mad

"Fine" he shrugged. I ran as tears are coming out of my eyes like a waterfall.

I'm a really bad girlfriend! I screwed up with Hayes and now It's Shawn. i don't want to loose Shawn. Hayes is flirting with me and he has a girlfriend. is kissing flirting. I got in the car and started it. I started the engine and drove off.

I put the key in the lock and opened it. My makeup smeared and my hair messy. I saw mahogany, Tess and Aaliyah sitting on the bed beside Shawn. Does he know? Tess approached me.

"Woah Melissa you look like shit" she looked at me

"Yeah, I was crying" I tried to clean myself up but it got everywhere.

"Look we need to talk" she grabbed my arm and led me outside. she opened the door and closed it.

"Ok what about?" I asked as my voice cracked

"Did you kiss Hayes?" she asked

"No... Hayes kissed me" I told her

"Hey Melissa" Hayes waved and walked into his room.

"As you can see I like Hayes but he cheated on you and Lilly" she said

"Yesh I know" I nodded

"Welp, Shawn is in there crying his eyes out. you need to talk to him" she pointed to the door

"Your right. thanks Tess" I hugged her

"Ur welcome and as I said before sorry for the name calling when you and Hayes were dating" she apologized

"It's fine" I said. I walked inside.

"Can I talk to Shawn?" I asked politely. The girls responded with an 'ok'. They shuffled out and I spoke when the door closed. I sat down next to Shawn.

"Shawn, I'm so sorry. he kissed me but it took me awhile to process it!" I told him

"Tell me what happened!" he demanded

"Welp. ok den" I said without hesitation and I fiddled with my fingers

~flashback~

I got a text from Matthew and he told me to go to the mall. I was so confused. I put on my usual makeup and a tank top, cardigan, black high waisted shorts. I walked out and through the lobby. I got in a rental car and drove to the mall.

As I walked through the doors I went to the food court. I don't know why and food seems gross to me right now.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called matt but it got sent to voicemail. I hanged up and put it back in my pocket when someone taped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Hayes.

"What?!" I said in frustration

"I miss you. maybe we should hang out" He shrugged

"What about....... no!" I said

"I'm sorry. we are friends are we?" he hugged me. I hugged back. are we friends.

"I missed you to but you have a girlfriend do you?" I said

"Uh I don't know" he said. he pulled away and put his hands on my shoulders as he looked in my eyes.

"All I want is you, just you" he said as his lips crashed into mine without a warning. It felt like we were the only ones on the planet. it was so wrong but felt so right! then Shawn came to mind.

~end of flashback~

"That's what happened" I shrugged

"I like you a lot" I held his hand

"I'm so sorry, I really am" I put his hand on my shoulder.

"You liked it?" he asked me as I rested my head on his shoulder

"No, the only kisses I like is yours" I looked up at him

"Shawn, I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. I don't even like Hayes anymore" I said as tears are forming in my eye

"It's alright, just don't do it again" he smiled as he came closer and closer and finally our lips touched. I felt him smile through the kiss.
