We left the hospital three weeks later. I found out in that time period that my mother, whose name was never mentioned in Naruto was actually called Helen.

No fancy Japanese name that means cute animals or other parts (*cough*duckbutt*cough*). Just plain old Helen. Hyuga Helen.

She was sweet, always wanting to be within five centimeters in case we needed anything. Unlike a certain stoic hyuga who wanted to be five hundred acres away from his own children. *cough* frown face *cough* *cough*

It was okay I guess. Didn't expect anything less than that. Besides I wasn't sure I'd be able to stomach both parents in the same room. If they so much as touched each other I'd puke. I'm traumatized for life.

So, what did I do when I arrived at the hyuga compound?

I slept

I ate

I slept

I pooped

I cried

I slept some more

I ate some more

And obviously pooped some more

Which means I cried some more

It was fun watching how Hinata and I turned the whole house upside down. I even heard Hiashi went to live in another house. The coward.

Three more weeks passed and I finally managed to sit up. Yay! Hinata, sadly did not accomplish this feat. I think I spoiled her too much.

Father did not return to the head house until another two months or so. By then, I could crawl around. Hinata still liked to stay in the crib. Didn't blame her though, the bed was so soft and comfy I would sleep there everyday if I were a normal baby.

Unfortunately, I am not normal and would probably die of boredom if I did.

So I practiced my crawling skills all over our room. I'd crawl to every corner and sometimes put obstacles in my path, then try to crawl around each of them.

Hinata loved it, she'll watch me intently and when and anytime I won, will let out an excited shriek.

My mother and the nannies decided to help by occasionally placing a cup or pillow in the way and cheering me on.

It was one of those days that I was in the middle of completing my single contest when the all stoic hyuga strolled in. The nannies, my mother, me, and even baby Hinata went silent at his presence. We stared at him like he was an alien from mars.

"Honey, what are you doing here?" My mother asked, breaking the rising tension.

"I heard the noise and decided to see what my daughter was up to." He answered, his gaze not leaving mine.

Daughter. He didn't ask what the cheering noise was about. He must have heard some of the maids talking about how active I was. Probably come to see if his child had any capability of being a prodigy. No doubt to fling it at the other clans' faces.

Seriously, what was wrong with these fathers and making competitions of their children?!

Whatever, if he came here for a show, I'll give him one.

Careful not to touch any of the inanimate objects, I made my way back to the starting line. I locked my gave with him once before turning to the course. Mind you I was only in my diapers.

The objects looked big in my eyes and I could barely see the finish line, which was noted with a long string.

I began. No one cheered me this time, all intimidated by the presence in the room. I climbed my way over the low stool, carefully descending and crawled around the spoon.

Unconsciously, the nannies begun to chant.

I went under the chair, over the pillow and around the bowl of water. By the time I reached the finish line, my knees were red by how fast I dragged them across the floor.

I sat on my bum and raised my hands towards him, prepared to drop the bomb.

"Haw-ni!"

The place was plunged into silence. I think I heard the sound of a jaw dropping on the floor. Hiashi widened his eyes at me.

Again, I said with excitement. Drawing the hilariousness of the situation into the perfect innocent act.

"Huh-Haw-ni!" I said it again and again until it looked like I'd got it right. I clapped my hands at him in delight.

"Hawni!"

Hiashi finally got over his moment of shock, nodding to my mother and leaving without a word.

I pretended to be sad and cried out. "Hawni!" I crawled towards the shut door, hitting it with my small open palm. "Haw-ni!"

There was silence as the others watched my display. A faint sound of someone weeping sadly nearly made me loose the act.

Finally, my mother decided to carry me on her lap. I pointed at the door and whimpered.

"Haw-ni!"

Helen chuckled sadly and shook her head. "Not Hawni, dear. Dada. Can you say it? Your second word? Dada?"

It was actually my third if we count the time in the hospital. But I didn't object. I scrunched my face in focus as if trying to decipher the word. Its origin, it's taste, its colour. Everything that had to do with it.

"Duh-a-da"

"Dada" she repeated.

"Duh-da"

I said. We tried a few more times until I got it right.

"Da-da!"

She smiled at me and poked my nose with her index finger. "Yes, Dada."

Someone sniffed behind me, making me turn. The three nannies assigned to take care of me, Hinata and my mother were all looking at us like they'd just watched a very emotional movie.

"Are you crying?" My mother asked amused.

"N-no hyuga~san-" Nanny 1 said sniffing.

"-something got in our eye-" Nanny 2 blew her nose.

"-that's all." Nanny 3 hicupped.

Mother shook her head. "Mina, Hayashi, Semi. It's okay to cry."

That was all the command they needed before they begun anime crying.

"Hyuga~sama!" They exclaimed, tears flowing in an uncontrollable amount.

Said woman chuckled, picking me up gently and laying me in the crib next to the now sleeping Hinata. She must have gotten bored at some point.

"Prepare a bath you three." She said.

"Hai!" They replied and rushed out of the room.

Helen tickled me gently and begun humming a familiar song. She'd sang it to both me and Hinata countless nights.

Slowly, I succumbed to the hypnotic tune and drifted off into sleep.
