I've been super super busy with school and with the hurricane of tests coming my way its pretty hard to write without Mathematics breathing down my neck.***
"Hulk transformation complete."
There was a grunt behind me, then nothing. Barbara stood at my side, eying the creature with no interest. She cracked her neck, letting out a grunt and muttered, "troublesome" before turning to me.
"Its as if someone out there thought it'll be fun to put that in here. Like some last minute drop in plan." She mumbled annoyed.
I nodded in agreement. "That's true. I don't recall the-" A cough cut me off just in time for a mistake that was bound to happen.
"I mean-" I cleared my throat. Hinata was so damn quiet it was hard to notice her. "Among all the jutsu that affect one's body there wasn't one like this, ever."
"A forbidden jutsu then. Find it's weakness." Barbara naturally replied.
I nodded and activated the byakugyan. My eyes widened and I took a step back slightly. This was going to be either easier or harder depending on how we dealt with it.
"He infused his body with nature chakra, then manipulated it to increase his size. I don't know how it turned his body green but that's what I'm seeing."
Barbara squatted on the branch with her right eye closed and brought her hand out to measure the beast "Nope. That's not it."
A roar came from Hulk guy and he swung his fist, destroying a few trees. "What do you mean that's not it?" I asked.
Barbara sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"The fact that you brought nature chakra into the context changes things. Its a delicate subject. One can utilise it into anything. Jiraiya had the characteristics of a frog when using it but didn't turn into stone. Orochimaru failed to acquire it and it turned him into a snake. This is something like that."
I turned to her. "You're saying that Hulk guy is a failed sage."
She nodded. "I don't know what he was trying to become or doing. But he didn't fit the bill. So he's making use of what he has. But that's not what we should be thinking about."
I scratched the back of my neck. "You're wondering why they'll send someone like him to kidnap a child."
"And why use it now when he's only facing off a bunch of kids." She added.
We stared at each other for a while. Something wasn't right here. Another roar turned our direction back to the beast.
"It doesn't matter now. We need to disable his chakra. Either that or knock him out. I'll create an opening. Hinata, watch our backs."
I slapped my forehead. Seriously that girl was so easy to diss. But I loved her anyway.
"Okay." My twin nodded and jumped to a different branch.
Barbara turned to me. "After this let's meet at the playground. I have to tell you something."
She didn't wait for my answer and charged towards the green beast. I shook my head at that. Somewhere between the fight my anger had dissipated. Whether because of the appearance of a famous dumb creature or the sudden confidence of my sister. I didn't really have that kill mojo anymore.
Barbara made a water dragon wrap around him. She brought out a seal tag and threw it in. It exploded, releasing a lightening bolt. I winced slightly as he yelled. The commotion was sure to bring attention. We had to end this quick.
