Someone asked if I had been studying babies and their character to be able to write the first chapters so intricately. I thought about that too since I was present when my niece was born and growing up.

Turns out that was not the case. The secret to my oc's baby character is...BOSS BABY!!

You're never too old to watch that stuff, hehe.

Uchiha Shisui's funeral was short but formal. Unsurprisingly, only the Uchiha Clan was present. No one really cared about what happened in their compound.

By my side stood Fukagu and a sad looking Sasuke who shot concerned looks towards Charlotte. She was at the very front with her parents, expression unreadable.

Her eyes caught mine and she just...stared. I was used to glares and insincere expressions but the blankness on her face was unnerving. Feeling a bit creeped out, I broke contact.

Slowly, they lowered the coffin into the ground. The coffin that carried my clone disguised as Uchiha Shisui's body. It had to be that way if we were to convince everyone he was truly dead.

That night-last two nights- when I had caught him just before he made contact with the ground, I had placed a doppelganger in his stead and with Itachi's help, put a genjustu on the body so everyone would think he was the real one.

So far the only people who knew of it were the Hokage, Barbara, Itachi and I. To everyone else, Uchiha Shisui was dead. And it was going to be that way.

We all said a word of prayer for the dead and departed. "Will she be okay?" Sasuke whispered to me.

I looked back at Charlotte who had stayed behind. Her mother kissed the top of her head and left, weeping in her father's arms.

"Go on ahead Sasuke."

The said Uchiha nodded and with one last concerned look shot her way, followed the others.

I walked up slowly towards her back, not reluctant but weary. Yumi Uchiha was silent, tracing the edges of the gravestone. Her fingers brushed his engraved name.

"Hey"

"You know." She begun.

"When I first woke up in a kid's body, the first thing I thought of was you. I thought, 'You'd really done it this time Williams.'"

"All my life I've tried to be the best, to get the best. I created the perfect image for every situation. One that everyone would love. I tried my hardest, even if it meant hurting others on the way."

She paused. "I know I hurt you Lucy. I'm not dumb to what my actions cause others. At least, not like you anyway."

Me?

A dry chuckle escaped her. "This mess was as much yours as it was mine. I shouldn't have followed you into the room. And I shouldn't have made your life miserable. Now, I can't help but take this as my punishment."

She recoiled her hand from the stone, as if the cool surface had burnt her.

"I guess we're even then." I spoke unsurely.

Charlotte stared at me with that same straight, blank expression, eyes peering into my soul. "Yeah." Yumi replied finally.  "I guess we are."

I stayed silent as she turned and walked away into the trees. Charlotte and I never really had a relationship. It was an unspoken agreement, I'll be the one plotting escapes and she'll be the one to uncover them.
