Part 8: Kids

(Still half asleep)
"Aunty! Aunty! Get up, I here to see you." Says one.
"Aunty! Aunty! Mommy and aunt L asked us to wake you up." Says the other one.
One of them starts jumping on my bed, and the other follows. They then jumped on my leg. The pain rushes to my brain. (Eyes open) "Aaah, what are you trying to kill me?" I say jokingly. "Who's gonna buy you candy when I'm not here?" I ask.
"We sorry aunty, we not do it again." Says one of them.
I look at their faces. I thought, who could get mad at these cuties.
"Come to aunty, let aunty hug you tight," I say happily. "Mina, Mino you guys have grown so much," I say like they were my children.
"Aunty... let go, we can't breathe..." says Mina.
"Sorry guys, Aunty is just happy." I then say.

"Candy! Bring down the kids." Ella says yelling from downstairs.
"Okay!" I yelled back. "Aunty going to brush my teeth and do my business. Do you guys want to go down first?"
"No!" They say.
"We wait here for you." Mino then says.
"Okay, I then say," drifting into the bathroom and washing my face.
(Later) "Okay, let's go, let's go down."
We walk down to the kitchen table and sit there.
"Candy, how are you hon?"
"I'm okay. How about you, Wendy?" I ask.
"Tired with these monkeys around. It's just me and them." She replies.
"Wendy, why don't you let Candy take care of them for a day? We should hang out, it's been a while since we did." Ella then says.
Wendy looks at me with a smile.
"Do you mind Candy, for a day?" Wendy asks.
"No it's fine, you guys go and have fun, I don't have any-(remembers having to meet Leo later)"
Before I could finish saying what I want to say.

"Okay, it's a deal," Ella says. "Come on, Wendy let's go get ready. "We should get our nails done and go shopping." As she said, dragging Wendy up the staircase.
Wendy is my sister in law, she is also Ella's BFF, from high school. She married my older brother and they gave us two monkeys. Mina and Mino. Twins. They are now 4 years old. The cutest and most annoying, pair of things. They come over sometimes because my brother isn't home, he's in the army. He barely sees his kids. So I try to take many pics of them and show them to him when he comes back.

(Later)
"We're off Candy, call us if you have anything." Wendy states.
"Bye mommy, aunt L." The twins then say.
"Bye loves, be good to Candy." Wendy then said.
"I'll buy you guys something." Ella then say
"Okay, thanks aunty L!" They both say.
(DOOR SHUTS) (They leave)

(At the kitchen table, looking at the kids)
I can't leave them, they are too young. Guess I'll have to take them with me.
"Mina, Mino, did you bring a jacket?" I ask.
"Yeah, it's over here," Mino said as he runs towards his jacket.
"How about yours, Mina?"
"Here!" Mina says as she runs towards hers.
"Okay! Aunty will take you to eat cake, later. But promise not to tell anyone, okay?" I then proceed to say.
"Oh okay." They both say.

(Later in my room)
"What should I wear?" I thought. I stood in front of my closet for a while and decided to wear a pair of ripped jeans and a crop top. I then grab a flannel to pair along with the outfit. I then grab my bag, put all my belongings into it. I needed to put things for the kids also, so my bag was extra big. I then go downstairs. The kids are watching cartoons on tv.
"Mina, Mino, come to aunty," I state.
They come running. "Okay aunty will take you to eat cake, are you happy?"
"Yeaaah!" They both say excitedly.
I helped them put on their jackets and fix their hair. Finally, we were ready to go.
"I hope he doesn't mind me, bringing these kids along. I didn't tell him." I thought.
(Ting*) (new message)
("I'm here, waiting for you.")
Sents location. 1 attachment.
I open it and call for a Uber.
