Part 10: Ride

The rain finally calms down. I'm looking out the window, this entire time. I can't look at him. I notice that we are near my house.
"Hey, turn left on that street." I then look behind at the twins. They are asleep, "no wonder it was so quiet..." I thought. "Mino, Mina..." they don't respond. I quickly turn back.
"Oh, my house is the third one, the blue one." I then say, pointing to it.
Leo then drives into the driveway. "Thankfully my sisters haven't come back yet," I say in my head.
I get out of the car, and so does Leo. I go and open the car door. Mino is sitting on my side, so I pick him up. Carefully not trying to wake him. I put his head on my shoulder and I could feel that he was sweating. He is also breathing heavily. I then close the door. I walk around the car and stop halfway. I notice that Leo has lifted Mina and also has grabbed my bag for me. I then walk towards him. "I need the house keys, it's on the side of the bag..." I say quietly. He looks for the keys and hands me the keys. We then walk to my front door and I open the door. I go in first. Leo then follows. We walk quietly not trying to wake the twins. I put Mino down on the sofa closest to the door and I tell Leo to put Mina on the other sofa, across this sofa Mino is on.
(MISSION ACCOMPLISHED)
I look at Leo, he looks back at me.
"Umm, would you like something to drink?"
"No, it's fine, thanks." He then says.
(Phone rings)
My eyes widen. The sound echoes through the room. It's Leo's phone. He picks it up. I look at the kids, thankfully they are still sleeping cutely. I look back at Leo.
(On the phone)
"Alright, I'll be there in 15." Leo then says.
He looks at me, "I got to go. The kids are cute... talk to you later...?" He then asks.
"Oh okay... yeah..." I say awkwardly. "I'll walk you out." We walk to my front door. "Thanks for today." I then say.
"No thank you! I had a wonderful time." He then says.
"Bye..." I say.
"Bye." He replies. He walks to his car and drives off. I close the door and look back at the kids. And just smile. After a while of being a lunatic, I decide to drink something. I go to the fridge and grab a juice box.

(3 minutes later)
I sip on my juice box in the kitchen. Ella's car pulls up in the driveway. I go to the front door to welcome them. They come out of the car full of bags. They walk towards me.
"Candy! How was taking care of the kids?" Wendy asks.
"It was good," I say smiling. I then look at the bags. "Anything for me?"
"Yeah of course. Let's go inside, I'll show you what we got you." She then says.
They come inside the house and notice that the twins are asleep.
"It's been a long day." I then say so they don't suspect anything. Wendy walks over to Mino and gives him a kiss on the forehead.
"He reminds me of Marco." She then says.
"He's gonna be back next month right," I ask.
"Yes, he is." She says smiling.

(Mina wakes up)
"Mommy..." Mina says from the other sofa.
"Hey, baby. Did you have fun today?" Wendy says as she walks towards Mina.
"Mommy, today I met this handsome guy. It's Aunty's boyfriend." She then says.

I froze for a moment, shoot I forgot to tell them to not tell on meeting Leo.
Wendy and Ella looks at me confused but agreeing with the statement Mina said.
(I'm dying inside)
I told the twins not to tell Wendy and Ella about eating cake, but I missed the other portions. I'm doomed.
