Part 5: Trouble

(A while later)
(Was sleeping)
"Man it's so hot. This room's AC is broken or what... Ella, I'm going out for a while, I need some fresh air." I say quietly. "Ella, Ella..."
She doesn't reply but gives me a thumbs up. I then proceeded with going outside. The moon is bright and big. I see the beach ahead of me and decide to go and walk on the beach.

(On the beach)
(Talking to myself)
"Why is this guy here? Wonder if he's still here?"
Then I see someone running towards me. It looks like a guy. It is dark and I can't see clearly. This guy is running at a fast pace that he knocks me down. I fall down. "Hey!" I yell. Then mysteriously another guy comes and helps me up, "Thanks." I then say.

Again, It's that guy from earlier and from the store. He looks like he is running away from someone. I thought.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm fine," I say.
(Moments Later)
"Hey!" (in the distance)
"Let's go!" He says.
We start to run. We were running from people I don't know who they were, nor do I know this guy. And why on earth we're running. And why is he getting me involved? But the fact that he is holding my hand, just makes my legs move.

After running for so long, we find a place to hide. It was a little cave on the shore. We go in and squat down.
I see those people running towards the cave, he pulls me close and covers my mouth. We stay quiet for a while and then those people finally leave. He then finally lets me go.
"Sorry, about that." He says.
"Umm, it's okay, why were you running, did you do something wrong?" I ask.
"Well not quite but something along those lines." He then says.
"Ohh," I then say. "Oh! my name is Candy. Nice to meet you." I say.
"I'm Leo." He says.
It is dark, but I can see his eyes. They sparkle through the darkness.
He then looks at me and grins.
"I think they are gone." He says.
"Oh..." I say embarrassed.
"Let's go." He says. " Where do you live, I'll take you home."
"Oh, I'm currently staying in the motel." I pointed to the motel.
" Well let's go!" He then proceeded.

(One long walk later)
We get to the motel and we are in the parking lot. It is awkward. Walking here, we didn't say a word.
AT THE SAME TIME: "umm..."
"Go first," he says.
"No, you can go first." I then say.
PAUSE
" Well, how long are you going to be here? It seems that you don't live around here." He asks.
"Umm maybe until tomorrow afternoon. I'm with my sister, we were supposed to leave in the evening, but our tire became flat, so we are stuck here for now." I say.
"Ohhh." He then smiled.
It also made me smile.
"So what were you going to ask me?" He proceeded to say, so it was not awkward.
"Oh, well...."
I wanted to ask if he remembers me? But that would be weird.
"Yeah...?" He says.
To change the topic I ask another question.
"Why were you running?" I ask.
(He looks shocked)
"If you don't want to tell me it's okay," I say to avoid the awkwardness.
"No, it's fine. It was for business..." he then says.
"Ohhh," I say, confused. What business I say in my mind.

I felt that he wasn't telling the truth, but some of it was still true. I didn't question him any further.
"Well nice meeting you," I say finally.
"Yeah," he says. "You should go up, it's getting cold."
Out of nowhere, I get butterflies in my belly from when he said. I feel myself burning up. Good that it's dark. I just smile and grin happily. "Yeah, you too," I replied.
I turn around and proceed to go up to my room.
I walk up the stairs to the room. Before opening the door, I look back, he is gone. I open the door and close it. I lean on the door for a while. Smiling and grinning. Then I realized that I looked like a lunatic. (Smiling in the dark)
I walk over to the bed and lay down. Ella is sleeping peacefully. I then close my eyes and wished to see him in my dreams.
