Part 28: Meeting

"Wendy, I'll keep you posted," I say walking out the door.

Wendy and my mom stayed with Mark and the twins. While the rest of us are on our way to the restaurant.
We get to the restaurant. There's no one there because my dad booked it out. I think it wasn't necessary. We go sit down and wait for Ella's mysterious guy's family. We all sit on one side of the table. We wait for a while and I see a van pulling up to the restaurant. They get out and come inside the restaurant. They come over to the table.
My dad noticed who they are. We all stand up.
"Isn't it the Emerald?" My dad says
"Oh, look at you Goldy!" One man says
"Things are going to go down." I thought.
My dad walks over to this guy. And stands eye to eye with this guy.
I was lowkey scared. "When did my dad have enemies." I thought. We all watch, to see what's going to happen.

"Karl!!!" Says my dad.
"Henry!!!" Says this guy.
They grab each other and hug tightly.
(Both families are confused)
"How long has it been?" My dad asks.
"30 years?"
"It's been a long time." My dad says.
"Come and sit down..." my dad says.
We all sit down. But there is an empty seat in front of me. I'm at the end.

Another car pulls up to the restaurant. A guy gets out. It's Leo! I see Leo walk into the restaurant. "Why is he here?" I thought. He comes over to the table. "Sorry, I'm late." He sits down in front of me. He sees me and grins at me, while I'm shocked. And don't know how to react.
"Karl, let me introduce my family to you...I totally forgot. This is my younger daughter Candy..." my dad says.
I nod my head and smile.
"You look familiar, have we met before?" Karl asks.
"No, I don't think so..." I say.
"I've seen you somewhere, but where?" Karl says.

"Forget it, Karl, my daughter is pretty, you probably saw her somewhere." My dad says.
"Yeah, we are getting old. We can't remember as well." Karl says.
"Yeah...Oh, this is Ella, my older daughter, and Marco, my oldest son. They nod their heads in respect.
"Henry, it's a pleasure to meet your family... well this is Leonardo, my son... Then that's Samuel and Kendrick, my younger brothers."
"Yes, nice to meet you all... Karl when we were younger these kids were not around. Wait, Kendrick was about 3? 4? 5? He was a small boy then, now he's quite a man... Kendrick, do you remember me?" My dad asks.
"No, I don't. Sorry." Kendrick says.
"It's totally fine, you were very young back then." My dad says.
"Time flies doesn't it! Oh right, what's going on? Samuel called me over and told me to come." Karl says.
"Samuel is your boyfriend?" My dad asks Ella.
She nods her head.

My dad takes a big breath in and out. I can feel that things are going to get heated. Leo is looking at me smiling. I don't know how to feel. My dad stands up and stands next to Ella.
"She's pregnant!" He says.
Karl looks at Samuel. I can feel that lasers are shooting out of his eyes.
"Samuel, did you know?" Leo dad's asks.

Samuel doesn't respond and is shocked like the rest of us.
"You're pregnant?" He asks, pulling his hands out and grabs Ella's.
"Yeah! What are you going to do about it!" Marco says angrily.
"Marco... calm down, let's not get heated." My dad says.
"Your funny dad, at the house you were..." my dad covers my mouth before I can say the rest.
My dad then sits down.

"Karl,  what are you going to do?" My dad asks.
"Henry, my younger brother is at fault so we will take full responsibility," Karl says.
I look back at Samuel. He's still shocked and hasn't let go of Ella's hands. Then...
"Thank you very much," Marco says, spitting them apart.
"Get married!" Kendrick says.
We all are not shocked because this is probably what they wanted. Meaning Karl and my dad.
"Why are you so wise Ken, I was thinking the same thing!" Karl says.
"Why don't they decide for themselves, they are adults," I say. Everyone stares at me blankly.

"I'm at fault also..." Ella finally says.
"We're both at fault," Samuel says looking at Ella.
We all watch them.
"So Samuel, what are you going to do?" Karl asks.
"Ella, let's get married... I promise to treat you well. I'll take care of you and the baby..." Samuel says.
Ella doesn't say anything for a while.
"You don't have to marry me because of the baby," she says finally.
We all observe and listen.
"Ella, you are an amazing person. Even if it's not for the baby, I'll still marry you..."
Ella looks at him. She isn't buying it.
"I was a player, but when I met you, I only wanted you, no one else... I love you, Ella, Marry me." He finally says.
Ella gives in and starts crying.
"Samuel, why did you make her cry?" Karl says.
"She's crying cause he's a player," Leo says.
"No wonder. Sorry," Kendrick says.
Ella looks up and instead of crying she's smiling.
"Okay," she says.
"You agree to marry him?" Marco asks.
"You don't have to if you don't want to," I say.
"You can't deny feelings," Ella says looking at Samuel.
"You agree to marry me?" Samuel asks happily.
"Yes," Ella says.
Samuel gets up and walks around the table. Ella gets up and they hug. Everyone is observing them. We all smile in awe.
Leo then taps my leg from underneath the table. I look at him. He's smiling. I can't help but smile also. He lip-syncs something. "Let's get married also!" I look at him and shake my head. Ella sits back down and Samuel goes back to sit in his seat.
"Wait, we haven't ordered food yet. Waiter!" my dad says.
The waiter comes over and my dad takes an order. The waiter then leaves.
"Samuel, take care of my daughter," my dad says.
"Gladly!" Samuel says.

My dad then looks at Leo.
"Leonardo, how old are you?" My dad asks.
"Call me Leo, I'm just turned 24," Leo says.
"Do you have a girlfriend, what do you think of Candy?" My dad says pointing at me.
I'm flustered by my dad's question. Leo smiles at the question.
"Dad!" I say quietly.
"I have a girlfriend, but she's cute... she doesn't have a boyfriend?" Leo asks.
"Why is he putting me in the spotlight." I thought, looking at him. 

I'm literally shooting lasers at him.
" Candy, you have a boyfriend." My dad asks.
"Umm, yeah..." I say.
"How come I didn't know?" My dad says quietly.
"Karl, Leo is a nice young man. Bummer that these kids have someone already." My dad says.
Leo looks at me and smirks.
"Wait... I remember now!" Karl says.
"Remember what?" My dad asks.
"Candy," he says.
