(7 weeks later)
Today, I'm eating at my parent's for dinner. I'm waiting for Ella. I'm downstairs watching tv. Something odd about Ella is she's been really down. She doesn't tell me, but I know. Ever since that morning when Leo dropped me off, she's been very different. Not like her usual self.
"Let's go, Candy," Ella says coming down.
I turn off the tv and walk towards the front door.
"Are we walking?" I ask, turning back.
"Yeah, let's walk," Ella says, looking at the weather.
We walk to my parent's house. We stop halfway because it's so hot.
"I can't go anymore," I say, panting with my hands on my knees.
"Candy hurry up, we have to help mom with cooking," she says still walking fine.
I get my hands off my knees and walk behind Ella.
I see my parent's house from afar. Seeing it gave me energy, I walk in front of Ella happily.
"Were almost there Ella, we should have driven here," I say.
She doesn't reply.
"Why is it so hot today," I say.
I don't get a reply. I turn around to look at Ella.
"Ella!" I yell loudly.
Ella has fainted on the ground.
I run over to her quickly and pick her up on my lap.
"Ella, what's wrong?" I say.
In a panic, I reach for my phone in my pocket.
I call my mom.
"Are you guys here yet?"
"Mom!" I yell.
"Why you yelling, I can hear," she replies.
"Mom, Ella has fainted, in front of the neighbors," I say crying.
"Where? my house? Marco! Go get your sister, she fainted in front of the neighbor's house," I hear her saying.
I hang up.
"Ella, what's wrong, wake up," I say crying.
I look up and in the distance I see Marco. He's running like his life depends on it. He finally reaches us.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I don't know, she was fine earlier," I say.
Marco picks Ella up and we rush to my parent's house.
(At parents house)
Marco puts Ella on the couch. My mom worriedly sits next to Ella.
"Ella, Ella..." she says.
We all watch scared and worried.
"What's wrong with Ella?" I hear my dad say running towards Ella.
"I don't know, she fainted, when coming here," I say as tears rolled down my eyes.
"Let's take her to the hospital," my mom says.
Right then Ella wakes up. We all look at her.
"Ella, are you okay?" My dad says.
"Yeah, I'm fine..." she says getting up.
"No, let's go to the hospital, to get a check-up," my mom says.
"No! It's fine, I'm fine," Ella then says.
"Ella, it's not, no healthy person faints out of nowhere," my dad says.
"I'm fine, I just need rest," she then says.
"Okay, just rest for now," my mom then says.
(Later)
"Is the food ready nana?" Mina asks my mom.
"Yes, tell everyone to sit down... Candy, take the dishes to the table," my mom then says.
I take the dishes from the kitchen to the table.
"Candy go get your sister," my mom then says.
"Okay," I say.
I walk to Ella's old room.
(Knock-knock)
"Ella, it's time to eat," I say.
"Okay, be right out," Ella says.
I walk to the dinner table. Ella follows me.
"Okay shall we eat?" my dad asks.
"Yes! I'm hungry," Mino says.
Both me and Ella sit down, while my family members stare at Ella intensely.
"How are you feeling Ella?" Wendy asks.
"I'm fine," she says.
"Okay, have some eggs," my mom says, giving Ella some eggs.
"Thanks, mom," she says.
Ella puts the egg in her mouth. She then spits it out and runs to the bathroom. We all look at her. Wendy runs after her.
"Does it taste bad?" Mark asks.
"Try it," my dad says.
Mark takes some egg and puts it into his mouth.
"This good," he says.
Ella comes back with Wendy and they sit down.
"Ella you act like how Wendy was when she was pregnant," Marco says.
My parents don't say anything.
We all look at Ella.
"Ella, you're not pregnant are you?" My dad then asks.
Ella doesn't respond. She looks down.
"Ella are you pregnant?" My mom then asks.
"Pregnant, with who?" Marco asks, confused.
Ella doesn't respond.
"Let's go to the hospital, if she won't tell us, we will go check!" My dad says angrily.
"Henry, calm down. Give her a break... Ella honey. Are you pregnant?" My mom asks.
Ella starts to cry. We all gasp. In shock.
"It's okay, honey." My mom says hugging Ella.
"Who's that guy?" Marco says angrily.
"Marco, don't yell at your sister like that. Give her time." My mom says.
"Ella, who is the father?" My dad asks.
"You to Henry, give her time, father and son are the same..." My mom finally says.
My dad walks over and sits next to Marco. Ella looks up at my mom.
"I'm sorry," she says crying.
"It's okay honey, it's okay," my mom says comforting her.
"It was an accident, a mistake... he doesn't know," Ella then says.
"You should tell him, Ella," Wendy says.
"He probably doesn't want it," she says.
"Why! He caused it and doesn't want it!" Marco says angrily.
"Marco!" Wendy says.
"We will meet him, call him!" My dad says. "Candy go get my phone." He adds on.
I don't hesitate to grab his phone and I don't question him. I get his phone from the table and hand it to him.
(MY DAD CALLS SOMEONE)
"Book out a restaurant for me... sent the address to me!"
(Gets off the phone)
"Henry, why did you book out a restaurant?" My mom asks.
"We will meet her mysterious guy's family and talk about the baby!" My dad says. "Call him and tell him to bring his family also!" He says to Ella.
"What are you waiting for, call him!"
"Henry, calm down. Speak slowly." My mom says.
"Call him Ella, tell him," Wendy says.
Ella gets up and makes the call. I can hear that she's nervous and drained. She doesn't tell him she is pregnant. She tells him to meet her with his family. It's important. I then remember back to that day. When Leo dropped me off and Ella didn't seem like herself. I didn't question her then, but now I hoped that I did. I'm clueless and confused. I feel bad. Maybe I can help her if I knew earlier.
