If it's fate

Part 33: Resort

"Beep, beep, beep.."
I wake up to the sound of machines... my eyes are still closed. I can sense someone. I open my eyes and look around. I'm in a room. I see that Leo is sleeping holding my hand. I then try to get up. Leo wakes up.
"Candy are you okay?" Leo asks.
"Yeah..." I say.
Leo hugs me and I pull him off feeling odd.
I look at him. I'm shocked and scared. Turns out it's Felix.
"What do you want? Leave me alone." I say, throwing some things around me.
"Ella, I love you, I can't live without you."
He walks closer to me and grabs my arms and pins them to the bed.
I'm in so much pain that it hurts, to scream. Felix comes in to kiss me. I scream, but no sound is coming out. I try to scream again and again. Finally, I scream and I can hear myself.

I wake up again, breathing heavily... I look around. There are other people. They are all sleeping. A nurse then comes running to me.
"Are you awake?" She asks.
"Where am I?" I ask.
"You are in the Emergency."
I don't say anything.
"I'll row you out, to see your family. First, let me get a wheelchair." She goes off to get a wheelchair.
I'm still laying down. I try to get up, my palm and wrists hurt. They are all bandaged up. The nurse comes back with a wheelchair and sees that I'm struggling. She comes and helps me. She helps me get on the wheelchair. She then pushes me.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"It's 12 pm," she says.
"Oh, thank you," I say.
The nurse pushes me out of the emergency and I can hear Marco.
"Why isn't she out yet!"
The emergency doors open. I see Marco, Wendy, and Ella. They run to me.
"CANDY!" They all say loudly.
"I can hear, I'm fine, let's go," I say.
"Not quite, the doctor should be out shortly to tell you about your condition." The nurse says.
We wait for a while and then a doctor appears.
"Doctor is my sister okay?" Ella asks.
"She is stable now, she scraped her palms and bruised both her wrist. She passed out likely due to having too much on her mind. She is healthy and she can go home. Just make sure she's stress-free and relaxed."
"Thank you!" Wendy says.
The doctor nods and walks away into the emergency room.
"I'll take it from here," Marco says to the nurse.
"Thank you!" Ella says.
"Yes, my pleasure," the nurse says.
The nurse then walks back into the emergency room.
Marco pushes me. I look up at them. They all look worried. I look at Ella. I grab her arm. Marco stops.
"You should have stayed at the resort," I say.
"You should worry about yourself. This is the least I can do..." Ella says. She starts to shed tears.
"I'm sorry, Candy," she says.
"It's not your fault, I'm okay now," I say smiling.

(Later at the resort)

I'm stuck inside the room, while everyone else is preparing. I look out the window, the sun shines brightly in the sky.
(Knock knock)
I get up and walk to the door. I opened it. It's Mark and the boy who saved me.
"Come in," I say.
Mark and the boy sit on Ella's bed while I sit on mine. I look at them.
"I'm William, but call me Will." The boy says.
He takes out his hand but takes it back.
"Your hand hurts, sorry!" He says.
"No, it's fine now, I'm Candy...Thank you, Will, you saved my life. I owe you." I say.
"It's nothing, I was walking and I heard you."
"It was very early in the morning. What a coincidence," I say.
"I wake up every day at 6:30. Then I like to exercise. It's good for the brain and our physical self."
"Ohhh," I say.
"You're my brother's girlfriend?" Will asks.
"... yeah," I say. "Wait, talking about Leo, where is he?" I ask.
They don't say anything.

"Why aren't you guys saying anything," I ask.
"Well... he was arrested," Mark says.
"Why!" I say confused.
"He was charged with an attempt to murder," Will says.
"What do you mean?" I say.
"My uncle is at the station, getting him out, don't worry," Will says.
"Noo, take me to him," I say.
"You can't go anywhere, mom said," Mark says.
"Then don't tell her, hurry up. Take me to him." I say.
Before they can say anything I'm already at the door leaving. They have no choice but to follow.
"This isn't a good idea," Will says.
"It's okay, I'll take responsibility," I say walking towards the entrance of the hotel.
I then see a car pull up. It's Samuel and Leo. They both get out. I walk out and wait. Leo sees me. He runs to me. I walk to him. Everyone stares. I look at him. 
"Damn, they can't live without each other?" Samuel says to Will and Mark. "Let's go!" He adds. They go inside.

I look at Leo and Leo looks at me. No words follow out. But tears flow out of my eyes.
"Why are you crying?" He asks.
"I don't know," I say.
Leo doesn't ask further questions but hugs me tightly.
"That jerk is locked away now!"
I don't say anything. I look up at him. Tears are streaming down my eyes. He wipes them.
I notice his knuckles, they are bruised. I grab his hands and look at them.
"Does it hurt?" I ask.
"It doesn't hurt, it hurts more here," he says pointing to his heart.
Leo hugs me again. And whispers to my ear.
"That fucker, won't dare to assault you... if he tries again, he'll see who the fuck he's messing with and-"
Before he could say more I covered his mouth.
I look at him.
"He needs help Leo, he's mentally unstable...he thought I was Ella the whole time,"
"Why are you so caring? Don't care about him," Leo says angrily.
"I don't care, I'm just suggesting," I say.

Will and Mark come out.
"How long are you two going to be here? Mark says.
"What do you think you're in a drama?" Will then says.
They walk towards the beach before we can say anything.
"Those two are perfect for each other," I say.
"Let's go," Leo says.
We go inside and Leo walks me to my room.
"Get some rest," he says.
"You too," I say.
Leo kisses my forehead and I go inside the room.
