Stefan was reading a book in the living room when his eyes closed and he fell into a dreamless sleep. He was jolted awake when the book suddenly fell from his lap and, as he bent to pick it up, the sound of rushing wind went around the house.

"Damon?" He called as he looked around the house. He heard another sound before he was pushed to the floor on his stomach, definitely by a vampire. He was flipped around and was faced with a blonde vampire that he knew all too well. "Lexi?"

The girl's vampire face receded and she smiled. "Hi." She helped him up and fixed her clothes.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan had a smile on his face as he looked at his best friend. He hadn't seen her in a while.

Lexi pulled him into a tight hug. "How could you even ask me that?" She replied incredulously. Stefan laughed lightly before returning the hug.

"I missed you." He said genuinely.

"Happy Birthday." Stefan groaned a little before picking up her bag and leading her to his room. He placed her bag on the floor next to his bed before sitting on the bed and telling her everything that has happened since he moved back to Mystic Falls.

Lexi listened intently until he finished before she nudged him lightly. He nudged her back causing the girl to let out a laugh.

"I don't know, some freak shot at me with wooden bullets. I bail in under sixty." Lexi said as she looked at her bestfriend. "And why is a news reporter hunting vampires?" She asked with a confused look.

Stefan shrugged. "I don't know who knows about us. That guy did. There could be others." Stefan paused and looked at the blonde vampire. "Do me a favor, while you're here, please be careful."

"Why stay?" Lexi asked once more. "I'm headed to New York for the weekend. Bon Jovi in the Garden." Lexi started laughing. " 'Wanted dead or alive', it's our theme song. It'll be a blast." She offered and Stefan laughed at her antics.

"Do you think he would actually remember us?" Stefan asked. "That was a pretty crazy weekend huh?" He acknowledged.

"We can make him remember us." Lexi said while waving her arms in a mystifying gesture and narrowing her eyes. "Come on! Let's go. I mean, what's keeping you here?"

"I told you, her name is Elena." Stefan insisted, causing Lexi to blow some air forcefully out of her mouth as she rolled her eyes.

"Let's hope she's better than the last girl you got all sprung over." Lexi walked over to the dresser and picked up the old picture of Katherine. She held it up in front of her face for Stefan to see.

Stefan walked over and grabbed the photo from her hand. "You didn't even know Katherine."

"'Cause if I did I'd kick her ass." Lexi said with venom. "Little bitch." She muttered under her breath. "Speaking of...where's Damon?"
