....."Uhmmm...I am alright. I'm sorry for bumping into you," I said.
"Oh stop apologizing already," he said. "Are you new here?" He asked and I nodded.
"I'm Carl and you?
"I'm Isla, nice to meet you."
"Same here....Have you seen the principal yet?"
"No, I was actually looking for her office" I replied.
"Since that's the case, can I walk you there?" He asked...
"Oh that'd be great. Thank you," I said and he smiled......he had beautiful teeth too....
We were almost at the office when 3 girls in cheerleaders outfit came and blocked our way. I recognized them as the ones who told me to park my "garbage" somewhere else.
"What the heck are you doing with her Carl?" Maddie asked clearly infuriated.
"I was just walking her to the principal's office babe. She's new here and doesn't know her way yet." He replied calmly.
"Couldn't you have asked someone else to walk her?" Maddie asked still angry. I wonder why she feels so insecure.
"Excuse me," I interrupted and was greeted by a scowl from Maddie. I looked at Carl and said, "Thanks for volunteering to walk me down. I can see the office from here. I'll just go on my own".
"Ok, if you say so. Let's go Maddie," he said and strode off.
Maddie came closer to me and said, "Stay away from Carl, he's mine".
"Yh stay away new girl," Kyra and Lily said.
"The name is Isla" I replied and walked away from them.
I got to the office door and knocked.
"Come in....." I heard from inside. I gently opened the door and saw a beautiful dark-haired lady sitting behind the table. I was surprised because I expected a man but I didn't show it.
"Good morning ma'am". I greeted
"Good morning. You must be Isla Roberts," she said and I nodded. "I'm principal Hader, welcome to Primidge High" she said with a smile.
"Thank you principal Hader," I replied.
"McKenzie Molina, come over to the principals office," she said over the microphone.
"Here is your schedule....she handed a piece of paper to me. Your tour guide will be here soon.....oh here she is....."
A beautiful girl with thick brown hair and big doll eyes walked into the office.
"Good morning Principal Hader," she said.
"Good morning Kenzie. This is Isla Roberts. She is new here and I would like you to show her around. Isla, this is Kenzie." She said and I smiled at Kenzie.
"I'll give both of you permission to miss the first period."
"Alright ma," Kenzie said.
...."Lets go Isla," she said to me and we both left the principals office.
