LOVE DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN

Chapter 5

...Immediately I walked into the class, every gaze was fixed on me. I wondered why they were all looking at me;

"Do I have something on my face," I wondered.

I tried not to pay too much attention and just walked over to the empty seat beside Kenz.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" I asked her.

"Duh! You are beautiful and new. You are supposed to get the stares," She replied.

"Alright but its kinda creepy," I said and she laughed.

Some people came to introduce themselves before the teacher finally walked in.

.....Finally, it was lunch time. All the classes went by and each time, I was asked to introduce myself by the teacher. I needed a break.

I walked into the cafeteria and started looking for any sign of Kenz. While I was doing that, three handsome guys walked up to me. One of them was Carl.

"Hey Isla," he greeted.

"Hi," I replied.

"Ummm these are my friends, Jace and Caleb".

"Hey Isla, nice to meet you," Jace said and I smiled sweetly.

"Would you like to seat with us?" Caleb asked.

That moment, I saw Kenz waving in my direction.

"Huh, thanks but I already have people that I'm sitting with," I replied.

"No problem but you can just come and say hi anytime you like," Carl said.

"Thanks for the offer though," I said and walked towards Kenz.

"Hey Kenz," I said....

"Girl, you are on fire....so Carl just talked to you again....Wow!"

"Oh please!!!" I said and laughed.

Three other people were sitting at the table; two guys and a girl.

The girl had straight black hair, a long face and beautiful brown eyes.

"Hey guys," I greeted...

"Hi," they all said together.....

".....jinx.....jinx again.....you owe me a coconut...." and they all laughed.

"Do you guys do this all the time?" I asked smiling.

"You will soon get used to it," Kenz said

"Hey peeps, this is Isla. Isla, meet Victoria, you can call her Tori, this is Josh and this is Owen," she did the introduction.

"I'm so happy to meet you guys," I said

"Nice name," Josh said.

"Wow, you are beautiful," Owen added.

"Hey don't look too much," Tori said and playfully kicked Owen's leg under the table. I also noticed that they were holding hands.

"It was just a compliment," Owen said and we laughed.

"Hey babe, I love your hair. It looks so silky and shiny," Tori said.

"Aww thanks," I said.

"So what made you transfer?" Josh asked.

"Well, me moved" I replied.

"That sucks," Tori said "but don't worry, we won't let you miss anything too much." I smiled.

We got our food, ate and chatted. Kenz was right, they are really fun to be around. We all talked like we were old friends. They didn't leave me out of any of their conversations. They made me feel among....

Lunch was soon over and we had to get to class.

"See you guys later," I said and we all went to our various classes. The next few periods were slightly bearable than the former. Finally, the closing bell rang.
