Ding dong ding dong
I stood up from my position on the couch and went to open the door.
Dad was in the room and Britt went out.
Carl, Jace, Caleb and Dave stood grinning at me outside my door.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"Well it's nice to know you are happy to see me." Carl said sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes a little. "Of course I'm happy to see you." I said and kissed his cheek.
The three other boys simultaneously tapped their cheeks and I laughed.
"I'm sure you guys don't want a black eye on prom day." I said.
"Yh," Carl said. "Isla's kisses are FCO."
"FCO?" Caleb asked.
"What the heck does that even mean?" Jace asked.
"It means for Carl only." Carl said. The boys slapped their hands on their foreheads while I laughed.
"What are you guys actually doing here?" I asked.
"Okay......" Jace started. "Prom is not till eight o'clock right?" I nodded.
"And we might not be able to hang out afterwards," Dave continued.
"Go get dressed, we're going out." Carl finished.
"Why do I have a strong feeling of déjà vu?" I asked cause this has happened before. They are always hijacking me.
"Isn't it a good thing?" Caleb asked.
"Uh.....I guess."
"Get your sexy butt dressed so that we can leave. We made a bet with Owen and Josh that we'll get there before them. If you don't get dressed now, we'll loose the bet for sure."
"Hey why would you call my girlfriend sexy?" Carl shouted.
"Dude I was once interested in her remember?" Dave said and raised a brow. "That interest doesn't go away easily."
"Well it better should."
"Umm, I'll go and umm get dressed. I'll be right back." I said sheepishly and turned to go up. The exchange between Carl and Dave was becoming very weird.
Before I climbed up the stairs, I heard laughter behind me.
"I told you that if I said something like that, I'll get both of them worked up." Dave laughed and slapped Jace's shoulder.
"Yh dude, you really got both of them." Caleb laughed.
I turned immediately and glared at all three of them.
"I'm gonna kill you three. I swear." I shouted and marched upstairs not before I heard Carl say; "that wasn't funny bro."
For a second there, I was already beginning to worry that Dave still had some kind of feelings for me. Thank God they were only joking.
I quickly changed into a black and white romper, put on my Jean jacket and brown sandals and made my way downstairs.
"Dad I'm going out with friends. Be back soon." I yelled.
"No problem sweetie." I heard him shout from his room.
"I call shotgun." Jace shouted immediately Carl's car was in sight.
"Hey that's my seat." I whined.
"Sucks to be you." Jace said and I stuck out my tongue at him.
