Finally someone was going to open the door for me. Thank God.
"Please is anybody there?" I asked aloud.
"Isla, is that you?" I recognized that voice.
"Carl, thank goodness. It's me. I'm locked in the bathroom." I was really relieved.
In a matter of seconds, the door was opened. Carl's handsome smiling face greeted me.
"Thank God I found you."
"Carl thank you....thank you....thank you....thank you...." I said and hugged him.
Immediately I hugged him, he froze a little. I felt a spark in my skin. I wonder if he felt it too.
Oh my, I was still wet.
"Dammit" I cursed. "I'm sorry for hugging you while I was still wet. I was just happy that someone came to open the door," I said quickly.
"No need to apologize," he said.
"How did you find me?"
"I didn't see you in class so I knew that something was wrong. I brought you a hall pass," he handed it over to me. "What the heck happened here and why are you so wet?"
"Someone poured water on me." I pointed to the bucket hanging from the rope. "Then the person locked me in the bathroom."
"How could someone do that? Do you know who did this?"
I shook my head. I wasn't about to tell him that it was his crazy girlfriend and her minions.
"Lets go then. You can tell the instructor you fell into the pool on you way back from the bathroom. That would explain why you are wet.
I looked up to his face and smiled. "Thank you very much Carl, I don't know what I should have done today if not for you."
"For the last time, no sorry and no thank you okay?" I nodded.
Mr Gabriel or coach Gabriel our gym instructor was surprised to see us.
"What happened to you?" He asked me.
I said what Carl had asked me to say. I hope he doesn't sense that I'm lying.
"Alright. You don't have to join us. Grab a towel from there and sit down. Try to dry yourself." Thank goodness he bought my story.
"Thanks coach Gabriel," I said and did what he said.
After the period was over Kenz and Tori came to me.
"Okay now spit it out, what really happened?" Tori said.
"I already told coach Gabriel."
"You want us to believe that you fell into the pool," Kenz asked and arched a brow. "For starters, you are not that clumsy and most importantly, you can't even swim."
She got me there. I sighed and narrated everything that happened to my two best friends.
"Oh that little witch," Tori hissed.
"How dare she?" Kenz said visibly annoyed.
"I'ma go teach her a fucking lesson right now." Tori said and turned to leave. I held and hand and stopped her from going
"There is no need for that. What would it achieve. You both would just end up in big trouble and she's not worth it." Kenz nodded.
"Ok I get you. I have a better idea. At our party, I'm gonna teach her a lesson." Tori said and smiled. Kenz did also.
