Carl had already left when I woke up. I made my way downstairs to see Kenz and Tori eating pancakes and chatting away with my dad.
".......then she cried and vowed never to talk to a boy ever again." Dad said and both Kenz and Tori burst into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.
"Dad you've got to be kidding me," I groaned. What's it with parents telling embarrassing stories about their child.
"Good morning dad," I greeted and hugged him. "Morning sweetheart."
Kenz and Tori were still laughing. I remember that story. I was just five years old. Mum, dad and I went to the park. They insisted that I go play with a boy that was sitting alone. I refused but later agreed when they bought me a chocolate ice cream cone. Long story short, I said hi to the boy then some children playing around pushed me. My ice cream cone fell on the sand and I bruised my wrist. I cried and they all laughed at me, even the boy who I was bribed to talk to. Mum and dad used that story to tease me for so long.
"You guys can stop laughing now. It's not even that funny," I rolled my eyes. It took some time until they calmed down. "Why are you guys dressed?" I ask. They both looked at me with a look of unbelief.
"What?"
"We are supposed be in the game in the next thirty minutes." Tori said.
Shit.....I totally forgot. "What time is it now?"
Kenz checked her phone. "9:27."
"Seriously!!" I screamed. "Why didn't any of you wake me up earlier?"
"We all thought you were already awake and was getting ready," dad said. "Common, no need to waste anymore time. Quickly get ready and eat breakfast then you can go." I nodded and bolted upstairs.
I used twenty minutes to take my bath and get dressed. I gotta admit, this is a new record. I put my hair into a high ponytail, applied some lip gloss and grabbed my yellow jacket. Our school colours are blue and yellow so I wore black high waist jeans, a black halter neck crop top and the yellow jacket.
I ran down and ate my pancakes in a rush. Thank goodness I didn't choke. I felt bad. It's because of me that Tori is late to her boyfriend's game.
"....okay, see you soon." I heard Tori's voice and she hung up her phone.
"Hurry up bitch. The game is already starting. Owen said they reserved seats for us." She said.
I downed my orange juice, placed a quick peck on dad's cheek and ran to meet Tori and Kenz beside my car. It took me ten minutes to drive us to school. After getting as many junk food as we can, we settled down on the seats the guys reserved for us.
The game had already started and our school team was ahead by some points. Owen sighted us from the field and waved in our direction. We shouted and waved back.
They game finally ended. Everyone was screaming they hearts off. Owen hit the last ball that brought the team to a win. They boys are really good at what they do.
"Let's go to the locker room." Kenz said.
"Yh, let's go so that you can see Josh." I teased. She blushed and rolled her eyes. "I don't only want to see Josh. I also want to congratulate Owen. He played
very well.""Yh, my boyfriend is an amazing baseball player." Tori grinned. The boys locker room was filled with sweaty bodies. They were shouting at the top of their voices clearly happy that the won. The football team were also here preparing for their own game. It isn't your typical boys locker room where some of them are naked or anything.
