May collapsed on the wide couch, sighing as she threw her head back and felt all of her blood run down her head, flushing her face.
Footstep was heard down the stairs before Sapphire appeared in pajamas and eating a sandwich.
Seeing her best friend sigh in distress, Saphire walked over and sat next to her. "What happened?"
May turned her head slightly before smiling slightly, "I got the information on the dude that got shot today. He's our VIP guest and deals with the financials of the biggest company currently."
Saphire didn't lift her eyes from her phone as she scrolled through her apps, "Who?"
The taller female still in her proper work outfit looked at her in surprise, "You need to start dealing with politics. You've heard of..?"
"BlueStone?"
"Yeah, BlueStone."
"What about them?"
"They're the biggest company currently. And.. here," May gave her phone to Saphire, watching as the tanner female squinted her eyes to read the text. "Staff shot.. dead at famous bar..? Oh.. this is for real?"
May rolled her eyes before going through her feed, and giving it to Saphire once again ,"Read through it."
Saphire gave her an unsure look but took her phone and read through ,"You know I don't read."
"Shush and read."
"Biggest company looking for potential business partners, Sol Ace Bar and Hell Hype Club. It has been announced that the biggest company to this century, BlueStone is looking to working with the owners of Sol Ace Bar and Hell Hype club. RedBeat is also hoping for a financial partner. "I hope it is with one of the owners of the two most famous entertainment places, HellHype and Sol Ace," the owner of RedBeat said. The two brothers -"
"Two brothers..?" Saphire questioned and May nodded, stealing one of Saphire sandwiches and chewing on it quickly.
"Yeah. Looking for business with us." May replied and Saphire nodded, placing her phone down. "I got an email today. There's someone special meeting us tomorrow."
Crossing her legs, May grunted. "That's what that old man said too.. did you put him in with his cellmates again properly this time?"
Saphire crosses her legs and clicked her tongue, leaning back, "I did the first time already when he tried to scam and harass me. But another company helped them. It looks like the guy name is Troy and his boss were also part of it if the plan went downhill."
..
"How did Troy get through our security? Where was our usual driver?"
"I'm not sure, however, hostage is not an impossible situation."
"I'm well aware.""Goodnight, Sebastian," May said before glancing at Sebastian. The usually cold faced man look nervous today and had a forced smile. "What's wrong?"
"My.. mom is having difficulty at home."
May's face contorted into something with worry. "Get a good nights sleep today. Tomorrow you can take a break and just text me if you need a longer break."
Sebastian looked down. He was a tall, lean male, wasn't bad looking but that was what May thought of everyone at first glance. Sebastian had brown hair styled to the side and a tannish face.
"I don't want to worry Boss."
"Don't worry about it, just go tomorrow," May smiled before patting his shoulder, "Go sleep.""Yes police officer. It won't happen again."
"You say that every time.." the police officer sighed as May smiled brightly, "Thank you~"
He wrote down the things they had conversed about quickly into his notepad and immediately look up at May.
She didn't look intimidating when she laughed or smiled, like now.
The police officer turned to look at the shorter female and examined her. "I get that you are famous owners, but this land has laws. We all have to follow those laws."
She grinned coldly, "My land also has laws. I'm not called a mafia along with Saphire for nothing. You come cause a ruckus for my costumers, you know how it works, officer."
The officer sighed and nodded, before asking one last question.
"Are you sure there are no dead bodies?"
May's odd smile grew, "Yes, I'm sure.""Get rid of them," May said into the room as she watched the bartender give out drinks, smiling politely to everyone.
May ended the call after those four words of action and stood up, going to the bartender. She sighed and leaned over the bar, the people making space for her.
Side glances were given, thinking that May was going to flirt with the bartender while no one knew who she was. However, May coldly glared back as they shrunk away.
"Give me the normal."
"Alright, you got it."
The bartender came back in a few minutes, before signaling something with his eyes that something was behind May.
May turned around, a drink still in her mouth as she watched someone enter through the fancy spinning door of the bar, right in the middle of the two escalators leading to the second floor. However, the silhouette was not clear as there was a Blossom tree right there.
May looked confused at the bartender, "How do you see so clear? I can't see anything from here."
The bartender gave a "really" face before leaning in, people gasping at the sight once again thinking they were together.
"Your visitor is here."
May leaned away and looked confused, "Right now..?" He nodded before returning to the costumers, gaining glances.
May sighed and stood up, leaving her swat and drink without paying while people "ooh-ed" thinking she received special treatment because she was his lover. Little did they know he had a wife and kids.
As soon as she walked away he continued his polite gesture to the costumer, apologizing for the disturbance and lack of attention because she was there. The people glanced weirdly at each other, some disappointed and some excited because he was for sure a handsome young man, tall and built.
May walked towards the people, her long hair in a ponytail while she was in proper white.
While walking, she excluded the aura of power. As soon as she saw the guests, she sat down on the reserved couch as they looked around.
There was a young man with two obvious bodyguards, glancing to find the seat.
While walking around, they asked one or two people before reaching May.
"Do you know where.. your boss is?" The man asked. May shrugged. "I don't know. Where can she be?"
The young man frowned since the people he had asked earlier also did not know where the boss was either.
"I'm sorry for interrupting your time." Clearly the man was displeased, but did not say it straightforward.
"Thank you for your time. What is your name?"
May didn't answer.
".. what is your name?"
May glanced away from the table and answered, "What do you need my name for?"
"I need to know if the people I asked lied to me about their boss. It's required information," he smiled.
"Too has I can't tell you my name, sadly."
Tension between the room was now thick, people whispering everywhere. Even the VIP guests hanging out in the first floor had to keep May's identity. He just managed to have met none of them.
"Do you know who you are talking to?" Someone said behind May.
May turned around and saw a shorter male in glasses, glaring at May.
May smirked. "Saphire," May called and Saphire sat up from her seat at one of the tables.
The two male who looked like they held control looked surprised. "Why're you calling her over? Do you want trouble?"
"I don't want trouble, but you do. You guys have VIP passes right?"
The two glanced at each other before nodding. May made sure that the two had passes before coming here so they can talk in private.
Saphire grinned and lead the way to the private meeting room."I know you're not the real company owners. So what are you here for?"
The two didn't look surprised before nodding, "We're the right hand men for our boss."
"Alright, so what're you doing here."
"You're not the bosses are you?"
"Take a guess," Saphire answered and May shrugged. "You didn't answer my question."
The one on the right with glasses answered, "Our boss couldn't be here due to an important meeting. They apologize-"
"Making an appointment only to cancel it last minute huh? Very professional, I tell you."
May stood up and so did Saphire. "The meeting has come to an end then. Tell them the partnership is not official until I meet them. Personally."
The two female walked away and left the two in the room panicking.
