May felt the threat and stood up slowly, keeping eye contact with Lucas while he was being held back with a subconscious Kade. "You gave Saphire such a shitty shirt, one barely able to cover her back, and now you dare to threaten me with your petty actions? If you don't like us here, then let us go," May took more and more steps closer, seeing visible hesitation in his eyes as she stepped closer and closer, Kade watching on the sides. "May, stop it-" He put an arm in front of her and she slapped it away, "Don't touch me." She turned back to Lucas, who was also glaring in return, but his adam's apple was bobbing in obvious fright of the memories of six little middle school kids, May protecting Saphire and fighting Lucas.
"Your pathetic ass couldn't even beat me even when you were a head taller than me, what makes you think-" "May, don't do this-" "I SAID DON'T TOUCH ME!" May yanked his hands once away, surprising him before he sighed and stared at Lucas. "Lucas, get Saphire an actual shirt." Lucas stared at him with betrayal, questioning if they were actually on the right side. May hmph-ed before turning around, Lucas snarling secretly behind her back. Kade urged to the hallway and he immediately stomped away, humiliated from his unwanted aid. May crouched down to Saphire and gave her a hug. "Don't worry, I'm sure they'll come for us," She smiled towards Saphire before whispering in her ears, "Eat your food. We're going to need to be full for what's going to happen next." May moved back and smiled at Saphire sincerely, Saphire repeating the action before giving her a longer-lasting hug.
May stood up and tilted her head to see Kade, before walking past him. "May, your blindfold," He said. May ignored him as she continued walking and Kade sighed before following her.
Once May entered the white room once again, she looked looked at the empty chains and groaned, putting her hands to her shoulder where Kade had shot her. Remembering this, May turned around angrily at Kade who shut the door, "Why in the hell did you shoot me?" May asked, glaring at him and he looked at her as if she was dumb, "Because I'm sure all those years we didn't meet, you and Saphire has been practicing for the day you can take revenge." She continued to stare, dumbfounded before nodding quietly to herself, admitting that that was a pretty good reason to injure both her shoulders. "But that was too much, you annoying prick. Better not do anything to piss me off again. Bring me some tweezers and bandages," May commanded. He sighed and sat down in the chair in the corner while she sat on the bed and lifted the sleeves reaching to her elbow. He shook his head, "Let me do it for you."
"I don't trust you. And you're not coming anywhere near me."
To be honest, he felt a little hurt from her words, "Why do you not trust me?"
"You ask as if I just haven't been kidnapped here with Saphire, and you didn't just shoot both my shoulders while trying to harass me." May hissed when she looked at the cabinets on top. She walked over and opened the glass doors, before taking out the needed essentials. She returned back to the bed, her shoulders getting sore once she remembered how badly it's going to hurt. Kade watched her actions silently when she lowered her head, her body still facing him and her eyebrows furrowed together as she bit her lifted sleeves. She exhaled a little breathe before laying out some tissue on the bedside, and then took the tweezer near her shoulder and looked to the wound, seeing how deep it was.
"Fucker. You shot so deep," She hissed silently before bringing the tweezer in, and clasping at the bullet. She groaned and threw her head back, her lashes fluttering as she gazed down again, slowly pulling the bullet out. In one fast motion, she threw the bullet down to the tissue scattered on the bed in case of blood and sighed in relief, looking at the now oozing blood which was leading down to her wrist. She sighed as she took some tissue and began wiping it, avoiding the wound and Kade stood up, getting some gauze. "Let me wrap your shoulder," He said, walking over and May ignored him, slapping his hands when he got too close. "Give me it," she said, putting her hand out and Kade moved the gauze furthur away from her outreached hand. She glared up, before sighing and lifting the hem of her shirt, biting one end tightly and ripping the fabric.
Surprised, he asked, "What're you doing?" She didn't answer and began wrapping at the wound. He held her wrist tightly in place and ignored her fumbling as she groaned about how she swore she could hear the creaking inside her old bones. He began neatly wrapping her left shoulder as she sighed and looked to her other shoulder, beginning to sweat at the thought of that five seconds of torture.
While in a deep existential crises, the other person the room spoke up, "Have you taken out a bullet by yourself before?" He asked, tying and tucking the gauze in to the open side. She turned her head away. ".. Obviously," She muttered, watching him move to the other side of the bed. "I've had many gunfights before. Some places had multiple bullets, and some other places had- OW!" She immediately groaned, cringing away in pain as he dug in the tweezers and pulled out the bullet from the wound. Gritting her teeth, he seemed to be worse than her at this, as he seemed to just be digging deep and deeper into her shoulder. She immediately took the tweezer out of his hands and gripped it tight before pulling it out in one tight motion.
"THAT FUCKING HURT!" She shouted at him, throwing the bullet down to the bed while wincing and covering her bloody shoulder with her pale hands, dying them in a deep scarlet. "Do you not know how to follow the hole of the bullet?! Have you never been shot by a bullet before?!" She shouted, biting her lips in pain as she closed her eyes and threw her head back once again, wanting to just cry and shout in pain but she held it in before looking down to the alcohol tissue paper and grabbing it, cleaning the space around her wound and where blood dripped before taking the gauze. Reaching out for it once again, May turned her body around so Kade wouldn't be able to grab it. Clumsily wrapping the right shoulder with the left hand, it was barely covering her wound, but good enough to keep surviving.
She sighed in relief before glancing down at the tissue papers and wrapping them up into one pile, throwing them to the ground before laying down. "Get off." Kade was quiet the whole banter, and quietly moved away while she laid down on her back while hissing. "Fuck, it hurts so much," She said before closing her eyes and breathing one last heavy puff.
When May woke up, instead of being on a bed, she was on a less comfortable mattress. Saphire was right next to her, glaring at the ground when May woke up, seeing a bruise on the corner of her lips. The taller female was immediately alerted and stood up, forgetting about her injured shoulder as she hissed for a while before grabbing Saphire's shoulders. "Why do you have a bruise!?" Saphire glanced up at her before showing her her hands, which was tied together with a handcuff. She rolled her eyes, "He tried to touch you while you were sleeping, and Lucas put handcuffs on me when I was sleeping but I woke up and ending up punching Kade," She explained and May looked down at her, eyebrows furrowed. "Fuck, that's going to ruin some plans then," May said, looking around in their surrounding.
They were seemingly in the back of a moving van, the only source of light was from the tiny window at the back. The floor was covered in a large mattress, stacked with layers of soft, white blanket. She assumed Kade had put it there because she was injured. Saphire's eyebrows knit together, "What plans?" She asked, leaning in and May glanced around before leaning in also, a hand covering the side of her mouth. "Callex and Eric was going to bomb the building.."
