Saphire glanced at Callex, who was standing in front of May with quite dangerous eyes towards Saphire. She smiled. "Why would you ask someone who only met him twice?"
Callex also let out a small smile. "I'm sure Eric has told you about.. me being the leader of this operation right?" Saphire simply hummed, "Explain to me about it." Callex raised an eyebrow before glancing down at May again. "I can't tell you now," He said, knowing that from hearing this, Saphire may make sure to never let him meet May again. Or even send people to kill him off, "But I promise you, when that time has come, I will give you and May a proper explanation of why I am here."
Leaning on the door, Saphire was in a bit of thought before quickly stating, "That means you're not just here for business."
He shook his head, "I am. Partly, but also, there's another personal reason." Saphire raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms while sighing, "May didn't like... kill someone that I didn't know was related to your family right?" She asked and Callex shook his head in confirmation, "It's nothing like that. But now that we're off topic, let's get back on topic. Where is Eric?"
Saphire shrugged, "I don't know. But I do know that you won't be receiving that idiot for a while," she stated and turned around, facing the opposite door frame while blocking the way. He tilted his head in confusion, "How come? Did he do anything to oppose any of you?"
Rethinking of it, Saphire clicked her tongue in annoyance, "Yes that bastard did. He pissed me off." Callex was quiet for a while before a little sigh escaped through his lips, ".. What did he do this time.."
Saphire glanced at him sideways, before turning around with a lot of annoyance obvious on her pretty face. "While drinking and trying to solve some problem, he said a lot of things to annoy me. In the end, he basically grabbed my arm, threw me in some random room, an tried to assault me."
Callex's eyes were wide in horror, ".. Are you serious?" "No, of course not. He didn't do that," She joked and laughed a little while she watched Callex who had disgust and pain in his eyes. "He just annoyed me. That's all you need to know. He won't be back for a while."
She walked towards May, who had turned her position uncomfortably where half her body was practically hanging down the couch. "Don't think I didn't remember what happened earlier today either. What did you do to May to get her so drunk?" Saphire asked and Callex glanced down to his feet, feeling rather awkward before fixing his tie, "We talked.. and she also got a bit angry and went to work immediately, saying that she needed to release her stress. She.. drank a lot and Eric ended up calling me to go pick her up."
"And what happened to Sebastian? I called for Sebastian to get May."
".. We got into a fight."
Saphire grimaced, before realizing there was a scratch from her ring when she slapped him. "And then?"
He sighed, "And then he went away because he got called in for work."
"But he's not the one to just leave May alone with you, even I know that."
"Someone named Tyler came and got him."
"Ah. Of course," Saphire sighed, running her hands through her thick hair before blowing on her nails. "Well, you got her home safe and secured so props to you for that. Tyler is a bit of a fox, so don't get too involved with him."
Callex smiled, "I'll say the same then, thank you for the warning. Eric is also a little sneaky fox that knows how to get on people's nerves. If you trusted me with May, then I trust Eric with you." Callex genuinely said as Saphire pretended to gag, "That little boy is nothing compared to me."
"..? Little? He's 25."
"... And you?"
"26."
Saphire nodded, "Just a few years difference is nothing. Don't harm May in any way, I've warned Eric and now I've warned you. Don't piss me off by not listening to me," Saphire said and Callex nodded.
She sighed before glancing to May and him. She didn't forget manners, "Since you brought her here safe and sound, just stay for the.. morning. It's going to take forever to get you back to your place."
".. How do you know where I live?"
"We know everything," Saphire smirked and Callex did similar, "Well then, I could say the same."
May felt someone touching her arm, slowly crawling up to her neck as she tried to scream for help, feeling a deep throbbing pain and heavy feeling in her heart. She could hear someone crying, a child, in the distance, sounding immensely in pain while trying to muffle their sad sobs.
A black shadow was on top of her, slowly grabbing her throat as she realized that the sobs were coming from her own mouth, while hot tears ran down her face. There was a child there, trying to push away the figure, she noticed that her fingers were a bit chubbier, and there was a familiar gold bracelet on her arms while a red string, an orange and white strings, and a red and white string were tied around her right wrist. She couldn't move, but her arms can.
Trying to push away the shadow, her hands just passed the shadow as her cries were louder and beginning to sound like painful screams, while pain ran through her arms and thighs, seeing blood slowly seep through the scars appearing on his wrists. May began to kick and scream, feeling her strength come back as the feeling around her throat tightened, the shadow seemingly smiling at May, while May felt herself slowly running out of breath.
Just as she was beginning to lose consciousness in her dream, she jolted awake, sweating and panting heavily while throwing the blanket that was placed on top of her down onto the carpet.
Saphire immediately came running as she grasped May's wrists, looking worriedly at her. May's hair was dishieveled while she breathed heavily, sweat drenched though her white frilly button-up and her hands were trembling while tears began slowly running down her face from her wide eyes.
May slowly looked up, her vision blurry as she saw her bestfriend who had run downstairs as quickly as possible, and came to check on her. The sun was barely up, and May's screams had woken her awake. "What happened? Are you okay..?" She asked in her gentle, motherly voice and May immediately broke down, crying as she fell into Saphire's arms and into her shoulder.
Patting her gently, the worry in Saphire's chest would not stop as May finally breathed out what happened, "I saw younger me.."
