Cascading Empire

Chapter 28

                       May walked near the closet door, staring it while it swung open and revealed the two figures walking out of the confined space. Saphire was held up by Eric, and Saphire smiled towards May, looking a little pale while her eyebrows furrowed down. "How're you doing?" Saphire asked. May's eyebrows deepened in confusion, before asking, "Can you repeat that? I can't hear you." Saphire sighed and repeated it slowly. May had a look of euphoria before nodding, smiling. "Are you?" She returned the question and Saphire looked down to her left arm before nodding. 

                      "Yeah. I'll probably be fine," Saphire laughed before walking towards the couch, urging Eric to follow her while he carried her body. May's gaze followed her and Saphire looked at May, before mouthing out, "What is Callex doing on the floor?" May took a while before glancing down, seeing Callex still on the floor while his head leaned on the couch, his arms covering his head. May walked over, placing her unparalyzed arm on his shoulder blade before whispering gently near him, "Are you okay? Uh.. do you need more hugs?" May asked and under her fingertips, she could feel Callex tense. His jaw moved gently in a slow motion, and May couldn't tell if he was talking or just moved his mouth. 

                    Saphire looked at the two, May crouching before Callex and patting his shoulder, looking a bit confused while he leaned towards the couch and sighing deeply. May turned to Saphire and saw her mouth some words, "Amethyst has the medicine." May nodded and immediately the lights turned on. May looked up and around, glancing at the lights before saying, "We should change them to solar panels. Less easy to cut off." Saphire agreed after a while and Callex raised his head, before turning to May. He glanced back to the other couple before they understood and stood up. Saphire smiled, "We're going to go back to our room now." 

                   While slowly exiting the room, Saphire glanced back once more before smiling and turning away with Eric, whispering to him while he leaned down, also grinning from ear to ear. The door gently closed and Callex sighed before making May turn to face him with a surprised face and widened eyes, "Uh.. yes? Do you need anything? Why did they leave?" She asked and Callex was silent for a while before his arms wrapped around her once more, and his head leaned on her shoulder, gently taking in her scent. "Uhhh... Callex?" Her left arm was lifted while her other arm stayed paralyzed. She gently patted his shoulder once again, gently creeping her way to his chest before trying to push him away. "Cale?" 

                  Silence immediately filled the room when she recognized the position she was in. She could feel his fast heartbeat, with a weird heat near her neck and arms tightly wrapped around her body. His big frame blocked hers, while his hair tickled her cheek. More confusion ran through her mind. ".. Are you okay?" She began to get really worried as he sighed and moved back, lowering his head. "Let's rest.. tomorrow we're probably going to have to go back to work." 

                  "Okay..? But we don't even really have to go to work as the bosses of our places.. it's just our choice too. But oh, do you want me to escort you to your room?" May asked and Callex stared silently into her eyes, examining her pale face. She was still in her tank-top, and her long, dark hair draped down to the ground. Taking this silent opportunity, May also examined the male, seeing his long hair draped down to his double eyelids. His eyes were a warm honey brown while a beauty mark decorated the bottom of his right eye. He had a prominent jaw, and sharper, elf-ish ears. May suddenly smiled before chuckling, running her free hand through his hair, "Are you planning to grow your hair out to my length?" She laughed before standing up, and Callex followed. "I.. Can I sleep here?" Callex asked and May shrugged. 

                 "Sure. On the couch," She said before stretching her left arm a bit before heading to her bed, keeping her door locked. Callex went to close the closet door and returned, looking at May who was going on her phone for a bit. Stepping a bit closer, he gripped onto her wrist, making her turn her attention to him. "?" 

                 Callex leaned towards May, his face near hers while he stared into her darker brown eyes and straighter eyebrows, "Do you.. Are you not aware that I am also a man?" He asked in a quieter, whisper voice and she was quiet for a while before shutting off her phone and patting him on the head. "No. I trust you," May smiled before taking her hand out of his grip. "Go sleep," She said and turned around, while Callex gazed at her smaller back. He sighed quietly before turning around to the white couch, laying down and moving his body to a more comfortable position. 

                 '.. Ah. She definitely does not think of me as a man.' 

                   Saphire was slammed onto the door, gasping a bit while Eric began gripping at her inner thigh, traveling up to her waist and then to her wrist, pinning her to the door. She smirked a little into the heated kiss, before moving her head to the side and letting him leave marks on her neck. She let out a little gasp of surprise as he began to leave a mark near the crevice of her chest, "Don't leave any.. mm.. visible marks." 

                  Eric stopped and looked up, before smiling and moving closer with hooded eyes and a slightly lusty look, "We'll see.. we'll see," He repeated before lowering his head to start nipping at her neck. His hands lifted her thigh, before traveling up and she sighed a little, remembering the pain of the first time tingling through her spine once again.
