May hummed in delight as she stuck another puzzle piece onto the table, grabbed another piece, and glanced around.

"May?" Saphire asked from the pool table. The two females were currently in their basement floor, where they held an arcade, a pool table, and a prison. May hummed in response to Saphire's call. "Are you going to go grocery shopping anytime soon?"

The taller female frowned but shook her head. "Isn't there still food?"

"Ahaha.. about that," Saphire started, walking to May and May looked up, one eyebrow raised, "You stole all the things from the kitchen for midnight snacks?" Saphire shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe," Saphire said and May sighed, putting down her puzzle piece.

"I'll go right now. Text me what you need," May said and Saphire smiled, nodding before May walked up the stairs, passing the banging on the door.

"LET ME GO SEE MY DAUGHTER, YOU FUCKING BITCH!"

May sighed as she leaned towards the door, before cupping her hands to her mouth and shouting, "LET ME GO SEE YOUR BOSS, YOU FUCKING PUSSY."

Silence immediately erupted the room as a gentle chuckle came quietly from Saphire. May smirked before turning away and walking up the stairs, sighing and rubbing her tense shoulders.

On the final stair, May caught a glimpse of what the others were doing. While playing a game of twister for fun at noon, three people were out as three were on the thin material, shouting at each other.

   "RED FOOT-"

   "RED FOOT! AHAHAH-"

   "SHUT UP! WHAT'D YOU SAY?!"

   "RIGHT FOOT ON RED."

   "OH- SHIT."

May silently stood and watched, grinning as she watched the one on the very left, Euna, shouted and struggled to lift her foot which was in between Mervyn and Delphina.

"Don't jab me with your foot!"

   "OW! EUNA!"

   "SORRY! WHERE'S RED-"

"What're you guys doing.." May finally let out a soft chuckle and everyone on the mat fell in a panic at the voice. "Ah... it's boss," They said, getting up on their feet as May continued to giggle. "Just continue your game, don't mind me."

May walked away and grabbed her keys, before sitting down to put on her shoes. Delphina and Euna came next to her, curiously staring at her keys. "Where are you going today, boss?"

May smiled as she answered, "I'm just going to buy some groceries." The six people outside currently in the living room gasped in shock, looking a bit offended. "AND YOU DIDN'T ASK US TO GO?!"

May raised an eyebrow, "It's just grocery shopping. I'm an adult." She shrugged and continued to put on her shoes, the others watching in shock as they glanced at each other, "I'll go with you, boss."

   "Or I can."

"Nah, I think I'll be a better option."

    "No, me!"

May sighed. This happened every time she went out. "By the way, has Sebastian come home yet?" The three shrugged in unison, before Euna answered, "He texted and asked for me to tell you that he won't be coming home until tomorrow. His mom is really sick," she explained and May nodded in understanding. "Okay, that's fine. I'll go out on my own, don't argue anymore," May said and the two who were still arguing, Mervn and Faye immediately frowned in disappointment.

"Well then, bye guys. I'll see you guys later," May said and the others dejectedly waved her goodbye.

May curiously walked around with a basket full of food for later, regretting her decision of not having someone come with her since she always forgot to bring money with her. "Faye, come here. I'm in xxxxx."

    "Alright, boss!"

From the other side, May can hear the others arguing, "BOSS! WILL YOU LEAVE US JUST LIKE THAT-"

May chuckled before ending the call, glancing down at her phone with a gentle smile. When she was younger in her barely adult stages, she liked helping out people and offered them all a place to stay, but because of an incident in the past, it created a terrifying memory and she refused to help anyone anymore, making her depressed once again for the longest time.

However, with the help of the people who lived in the house and her best friend, she got better at handling her past and now she's a tougher person than before. She trusts her workers, but she also trusted that man once, and she won't ever make that careless, soft-hearted mistake again.

Remembering this bad memory, May frowned but sighed and put her phone away. It was fine, everything was fine as long as she never met him again. May continued to walk, looking at strawberry milk before grabbing a pack of six, and putting it in her basket.

May was about to go to the cashier, but she remembered why she was here. Saphire's midnight stolen snacks. May sighed as she looked down to her phone with a long text from Saphire.

"............ and don't forget to bring me premade p&j sandwiches!"

May rolled her eyes at the last few texts in bold sent from her best friend but turned around either way. She clicked a number and waited for the immediate response, which came less than half a second.

   "Yes, boss?"

   "Are you here?"

"There's current traffic, boss. I'll be there in about five minutes."

"Hurry, I need to pay soon, Faye," May said and ended the call. May continued to the snacks section and looked up and down the racks, examining for the brand that Saphire always stole at one or two in the morning whenever it was too late to eat a big meal.

'Is there no more....? Should I just lie that there is no more?' May began to think and put her hand to her chin, frowning in thought, 'No... she'll just eat whatever else is in the kitchen then..' May sighed before buying two packs of 36.

'That should be enough...' May turned around and saw a bunch of Asian snacks, so she collected some before turning around, bumping into someone who was much taller and right behind her.

"Oh I'm so-" May was ready to sprint after talking since she was antisocial outside of work, but when she saw who it was, confusion ran through her mind. "Callex?"

Callex was in his comfortable attire, in sweatpants and his dark hair not styled in any way, and almost touching his eyes but not enough to cover his admittedly handsome face. "Oh.. It's Miss Boss."

   "Miss... Boss...?"

"Oh sorry, Miss May. What're you doing here?" Callex asked, barely a smile on his cold face, and May raised an eyebrow in questioning, "Buying snacks. You?" May asked, crouching down once again to buy a whole pack of Yakult.

"Buying snacks for Eric," Callex sighed and glanced to May, who was also in her usual attire. Her long, dark hair was down and she wore a cap, including a hoodie and sweatpants. Callex laughed a bit at her unprofessionalism.

"You look professional right now," Callex teased and May gave him a side glare, "Same with you, the man called Cale in a t-shirt and sweatpants," May said right back and Callex grunted, crouching with May while looking at Yakult.

"Are you sure this is all for her?" Callex asked, pointing to her basket and May shook her head, "It's for me too. I have eight other people to feed."

   "Eight?"

   "Yeah, eight-"

"Boss?" A familiar voice rang and May turned back, seeing Sebastian looking confused at Callex who was crouching on the ground with May, looking at the pink bottle.

    "Sebastian?"
