All the people inside the room were well aware that it would be useless if they went to the hospital either way. Amethyst was a secret group, well-educated and specialized in medicine and poison. The hospitals were all not as evolved as their group in the term of the medicinal field. May helped Saphire up, her eyes a bit unfocused with her right arm hanging down on her side.
"Saphire, my right arm is paralyzed." Saphire nodded, her head lowered. Various thoughts were running through her head as Eric continued to wrap his arms around her, supporting her confused mind and body. May smiled, knowing that Saphire was probably too overwhelmed to process what she had said, "You're going to have to finish the rest of the paperwork I didn't do." Saphire looked up immediately into May's eyes, her expression frightened. "Don't worry," She placed her hands gently on Saphire's shoulders, "Sebastian will help you with it. I know you haven't worried or looked over those papers ever since we started our business but he'll help you start."
Saphire nodded and the room was silent, but May didn't know since she couldn't hear anyways. She walked past the two and glanced to Eric, giving him a look before opening the door with her left hand, and walking up the stairs, and onto the third floor. May passed through the living room and on the right wall, there was a door at the very end which was her room. She opened the door and immediately sat down on the couch, not forgetting to close the door behind her. The woman sighed and lulled her head back, letting her neck and head rest while she stared at the ceiling in wonder. Raising her legs, she rested them on the table in front of her before she closed her eyes, thinking of what had happened in the past, slowly feeling her eyelids get heavier and heavier.
Tick.. tick... tick... ti-
"MAY! GET OUT OF THERE!" A familiar child's voice rang as flames surrounded her entirely, shadowing the face of that child she once knew. Laying on the dirty ground covered with glass, her vision was blurry as there were sounds of crying and someone shouting her name repeatedly, asking her to get out. There was a deeper voice, a grown man's, calling for her also while his shadow came closer and closer, seemingly running. "May! May.. May come on. We have to get out! MAY!" He gripped her tightly on the shoulder as her eyes closed more and more, blood seeping down her head while her frail body went limp in his arms. Lifting her up to his chest, he immediately leaped out the flame in a hurry.
A little girl's cries were right next to her ear while the background was full of scurried footsteps and flames enveloping behind them. The little girl grasped tightly on her hands, gripping it so hard while tears ran down her dirty face. "May.. May." She remembers this voice as Emma, her little sister. Where was Saphire?
Slowly opening her eyes, she saw the blurry white wallpapers engulfed in flames disappearing as quick as they appeared before shouting came from the other side of the hallway and everyone stopped as quickly as they can, before running back and escaping through another hallway. The entrance was immediately blocked, tiles and ceiling dropping down to crumble into one huge pile. Panting and erratic noises were slowly getting more and more silent as she felt something immediately weigh down at her chest, snuffling her away from the outside world and her vision went black.
When she had awoken again, she was trapped under the huge body of someone she was extremely close to. "Tryston..?" Her little body couldn't lift all the weight of a much older male, so she wriggled as hard as she can, pushing herself away. After a struggle of ten minutes, she finally got out, tired and panting and looking around her surrounding. Everything was burnt down to ashes, the building had completely broken down and the smell of burnt flesh and smoke was everywhere. In a frantic state, she kneeled down once again, whimpering, ".. Tryston.. Tryston? Tryson, wake up. We escaped.. we have to go home.. Tryston," May began wailing, seeing his burnt and open back, scars decorating from his neck all the way down to his waist. There was an obvious larger wound which had opened once again, and his face was deathly pale, making an odd and eerie contrast to the blood splattered on his face.
Large tears began to well up as she began to cry, lowering her body to a ball on his body. She felt lightheaded and was extremely deprived of food, sleep, and all the essentials of a human body, especially for a seven year old. A faint noise of crying could be heard behind her. This startled the child, and she turned around quickly before rushing tot he noise, tripping over a few items here and there. Finally getting there, her eyes widened in fear as she saw her best friend crushed under a large piece of tile, barely able to open her eyes, which was focused on the man in white hovering over her body with a big, broken pipe.
Her entire body jerked open, as if she was thrown back into reality as she woke up panting and covered in cold sweat. Her hands gripped tightly at the sides of the couch, chest heaving up and down while her eyes was unfocused and blinking at the dark room. "Saphire!" May immediately called, getting up as her iron deficiency immediately took place as she felt dizzy. Just as she was about to fall, she caught herself with her left arm on the couch. "SAPHIRE! CALLEX!" May shouted once again, tumbling to get to the front door as the lingering scent of that terrible place reminded her of how she reached this point of life.
"SAPHIRE!" No response. Swinging her door open, the house was extremely dark, as if someone had cut off all the power and no body lived there except for her. "CALLEX-! MMPHF!" A cold hand traveled to her mouth, shutting her power to speak as her left hand clumsily traveled down to her waist for her gun. But a voice hushed her, "I'm here. Don't worry." She immediately relaxed at the deep voice and warm breath at her neck as she removed her hand and tried to struggle out. "But there's an intruder that broke through somewhere. There may be a traitor that is aiming for your weakness right now, Miss Boss."
