I haven't made it to June, not once. It's because Hoseok collapses from his narcolepsy, and because Jimin is still trapped in the hospital.

I can run into Jimin naturally if I admit Hoseok to the hospital but Hoseok has his accident where he falls down the stairs. I don't want to see Hoseok despair over a leg injury again. But even if I stop that accident from happening... His narcolepsy starts getting worse after May 10th. Even if I avoid admitting him, if he keeps collapsing...

His narcoleptic episodes are just as dangerous. If I'm going to save Hoseok, maybe first I need to control his narcolepsy. I better look into it seriously.

I head immediately to the Two Star Burger where Hoseok works.

"Welcome. Oh, hyung?"

"It's been a while, Hoseok-ah."

"I heard from the other guys that you were back. Wow, how long has it been?"

"How are you doing?"

"Me? Same as usual. Oh. Would you like to order?"

What Hoseok means by "same as usual" is that his life has a set, monotonous routine. I nodded.

He goes to his part-time job, to dance practice, and to the children's home from time to time. And, now and then...

(A/N: he is remembering the loops so change place lol)

He comes up here on this bridge to watch the river and look at the scenery. That's it.

There's no trace of joy on Hoseok's face as he leans on the railing. Hoseok is usually bright and quick to laugh... So his melancholy expression worries me.

What's he thinking? Aside from that, his daily routine is as normal as can be. He hasn't collapsed recently, either.

So why does he keep collapsing on May 10th?

(A/N: Loop #2)

The day after Hoseok is admitted to the hospital, I call Namjoon to join me at a cart bar after his shift at the gas station.

"Nice to see you. Looks like you worked hard today."

"Hah, it wasn't that bad..."

I pour Namjoon a drink, and he brings up Hoseok first. "Have you heard, hyung? Hoseok's in the hospital." It sounds like Namjoon got in touch with Hoseok after he woke up.

"Hoseok? What for?" I pretend to be surprised since I can't say that I was the one to call for help.

"He collapsed on the street again yesterday."

"Is it his narcolepsy again?"

"Yeah. It seemed like he had it under control, but..." Namjoon looks bitter as he empties his glass.

"He's not hurt?"

"He has a minor concussion. He says he's alright, but they're concerned about finding more abnormalities. So he's going to stay there for a couple of days while they run some additional test."

"That's good to hear."

I wonder if Hoseok dreamt of this eommeoni again. I feel a pang at the image of Hoseok haunted by his nightmares.

"Oh, right. Did you visit the children's home on Children's Day? You said you were going with Hoseok."

"Yeah, it was fun. I met the children's home imodeul and saw the kids. Hoseok was the boss over there."

"He always says they're his family and that the children's home is his home."

"It really did seem that way. But... There's one imo that Hoseok considers his surrogate eommeoni, but she's ill."

"Oh? What's wrong?"

"She has cancer and things aren't looking so great." I continue the conversation by bringing up meeting Hoseok's friend Dongjin and tell Namjoon all about how Hoseok collapsed the other day.

He listens to everything with a solemn look, finally speaking up. "A lot of stress seems to be pilling up if he's suddenly gotten worse after being okay for a while... I hope the hospital stay let him rest." Namjoon empties his glass afterward.

I continue cautiously. "... I think it has something to do with his eommeoni."

"What does?"

"Him collapsing. He calls out for his eommeoni while he's dreaming and it seems like his symptoms have gotten worse after hearing the news about the woman he considers a second eommeoni."

Namjoon mulls it over before he eventually speaks. "I guess it could. Thinking about his imo might have led him to think about his eommeoni."

"I'm sure he feels like he's losing his eommeoni a second time." I can't seem to continue the conversation due to the heavy subject and Namjoon also stares at his glass, deep in thought.

"Seokjin hyung. You know about Hoseok's wish, right?"

"The one about becoming famous as a dancer so he can find his eommeoni?"

"Yeah. But it seemed like he would forget about that when he was actually dancing. It was like all he had, and the thing that brought him the most joy, was dance." It's exactly like Hoseok said - that he had come to really love dancing. "So I thought... Dance had become Jung Hoseok's cure."

"Cure?"

"Something that helps him hold on. The thing that helps him bear something he can't otherwise. That's what dance is to Hoseok. Don't you have something like that, hyung?"

Namjoon regards me silently. I think, mulling over Namjoon's words.

We head back home after promising to go visit Hoseok in the hospital later.

If the accidents aren't just accidents, and they're related to the trauma that causes his narcolepsy... There's no avoiding it. If Namjoon knows just how much dancing means to Hoseok, he might be able to figure out something I've missed from seeing Hoseok's reaction tomorrow.

Part of the reason why I suggested we visit is because of that silver of hope.

We've already called Hoseok and let him know that we're coming. What's left us figuring out is how to take Namjoon to the stairs. Namjoon has to be in the stairwell when the accident happens, but naturally. I'm sure he'll do well. I make plans for any possible situation that might arise, but I don't know what influence Namjoon's appearance will have on Hoseok.

I just have to go for it.
