2022, May 12 - Seokjin (Hospital Loops)

I end up failing to persuade Jimin. I failed at getting through to his eommeoni. And even directly approaching Jimin. But I can't give up now.

I think about the conversation we had yesterday. Jimin definitely longs to be outside. He's just scared. What can I do to help Jimin get over his fear and gain courage?

The career plan suddenly comes to mind. College, studying, dancing... The things Jimin wants to do outside the hospital.

Taehyung: It's so amazing how he moves. How does he dance like that? Can you dance like that, too?

Jimin: No. How could I do that?

Hoseok's dancing in the middle of the classroom. Taehyung continues to voice his amazement. Jimin's gaze is full of envy and longing.

"Hoseok hyung! Jimin-ie says he wants to try!"

"What? When did I say that?!"

Hoseok stops dancing when Taehyung interrupts him, his hand in the air. Flustered, Jimin tries to stop Taehyung, but Hoseok's already looking his way.

Hoseok: Do you want to try?

"No. I can't."

Taehyung pushes Jimin forward even though he shakes his head no. "Why are you saying that you can't when you haven't tried? Go!"

"Augh, Kim Taehyung!"

Hoseok: It's nothing much. Try it first! Shall I demo it for you? One, two, three, four.

Hoseok steps to the side after showing Jimin the moves, leaving Jimin there alone in the middle of the classroom.

Taehyung: Jimin-ah, hurry up and start!

"Ah, I'm---"

Hoseok gives Jimin's shoulder's a light tap of encouragement.

"You can do it, Park Jimin!"

"It's alright, you can do it!"

Jimin begins to move, buoyed by the other two boy's support.

I feel like the answer is in this sudden memory. Taehyung, who pushed him forward... And Hoseok, who believed that he could do it. Maybe one of these two will help Jimin muster up the courage.

"Then, the person who can help Jimin leave the hospital is... Maybe..."

[Place: Hospital]

I get to the hospital early. I call Namjoon as soon as I see him step into the lobby. "Where are you, Namjoon?"

"I just got here. Where are you?"

"I just got here, too." I tap lightly on Namjoon's shoulder as soon as I finish that sentence. "There are tons of people here. Let's take the stairs."

"What floor is he on?"

"3rd floor." I lied so that we have an excuse to go to the stairs. Thankfully, there's a long line for the elevators. "If it's the 3rd floor... We can take the stairs." Namjoon nods.

We head over to the stairwell. What happens next is important. My mouth goes dry at the thought of pulling this off without making a mistake. Namjoon and I walk up the stairs. We hear footsteps and voices from somewhere above us.
