2022, May 15 - Seokjin (Container & Taehyung's Abeoji)

[Place: Container town]

As soon as I walked into the container, I gasped. I grimaced and grabbed my neck. What was going into my lungs didn't feel like air, it was poisonous gas that I was sucking into my lungs. I couldn't breathe, and my body felt as if I was shriveling up.

Out of the blue, something flashed in my head and disappeared. Like a shard or a flash of light, something flared and disappeared before I could grasp or make sense of it. And it was followed by a massive headache.

Enduring the migraine, I kept my mind's fixed. Fixed on a small shred memory. We were inside Namjoon's dirty container, laughing about something and having fun. I was also there.

Seeing that, I felt oddly sad. My heart ached with feelings of desperation and helplessness.

When I tried to remember why, the headache became so much worse. As if my temples were being poked with something sharp, or something was about to explode in my head.

I couldn't stand it, so I came out of the container. I thought someone called my name, but I had no strength to look back. I left as fast as I could. The more distant I was from the container, the better I felt.

When I finally looked back, I was pretty far away. I had had headache before, but nothing like that. I didn't think it was from stress or tension. It made no sense, but maybe the container was the trigger.

Something inside it was attacking me.

[Places: Container town, road, Kim's house]

I save Namjoon, and make sure that Jungkook and Yoongi save each other. Afterward, I manage to stop Hoseok's accident and borrow everyone's help to save Jimin from the hospital.

Hoseok: How do you feel?

Jimin: I'm not sure. No, I think I feel happy.

Taehyung: What do you mean 'think?' You should feel very happy!

Hoseok: Yeah! You're free now!

Everyone is smiling, giddy from saving Jimin.

"How long has it been since we've all laughed together?" I want to relax and enjoy the moment, too. But, it's not over yet.

I turn my attention towards Taehyung. Taehyung's laughing radiantly next to Jimin. What drives this happy and innocent Taehyung to commit such an unspeakable act?

(A/N: Throwback to May 20th events.)

"... And... his abeoji..." The one thing I learn after multiple loops is that Taehyung and his noona live under the constant threat of domestic violence. On May 20th, things get especially bad for Taehyung's noona, and Taehyung makes a choice he can't take back.

At first, I thought everything would work if I could just avoid that moment. If I presented Taehyung from going home that day, I thought it would stop the event from happening. I approached the problem from different angles - all of them ended in failure. Taehyung always want to go home that day, and even getting Namjoon involved doesn't change things. What do I need to do?

What do I need to do to stop this tragedy and save you?

"Hyung! What are you thinking about over here all by yourself?"

"Oh, nothing much."

Hoseok walks over and takes a seat next to me. "It's nice to be here with everyone."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. It's been a really long while since we've all been together."

"That's true."
