Chapter 6: Playground raiding

Mateo's POV:

Am I really that stupid?!

I almost confessed my feelings to Bella!

My snowflake.

When I decided to accompany Bella in ordering our lunch, I had a slight feeling that the rest of the group are gonna plan something. I ignored it at first but when we came to their table and realized that the seats were full, and Leo has a grin on his face, I knew something was up.

When Bella looked down, she said that the tables were attached to the ground.

And of course, being the very kind friends they are, (note the sarcasm) they made us sit down together, alone.

I only told Leo, Andrew, and Elliot about my crush on Bella, but when I came to their table, its pretty obvious that the whole group knew I like her.

And that includes.. Brody.

Shot. I forgot that Brody is over protective of snowflake.

But for some reason, he seemed.... Ok? and that's already scary... 

Anyways, this is a perfect example of me questioning weither to say "fudge you," or "thank you," to my friends and sibling.

When snowflake and I sat down together, I noticed that she seemed...  nervous, but still managed to look cute at the same time.

What am I talking about?! Shes always and is forever cute and beautiful!

After a while of Bella and I sitting down and eating lunch, I accidentally called her snowflake. I dont know why, but I just thought of that nickname a while ago this morning and I thought it suited her.

Which in fact, it does suit her.

When snowflake was confused, I decided to explain to her the little nickname I gave her but of course, my mouth got a bit carried away in explaining.

And this is where, I almost mess up.

I noticed that she was covering her face and I instantly panicked a bit. She stood up went to the bathroom.

I looked at our friends to see that they didnt notice that Bella went to the bathroom except the one and only Brody. He glared at me slightly and I would be lying if I said I wasnt terrified. He had this "what the heck did you do to my little sister?" look on his face.

I didnt eat my food since I wanted to eat with Bella so she wont eat alone.

After waiting a little bit, Bella eventually came back and we ended talking about our siblings and other stuff and had a great time.

Back to the current situation, we were all walking around the park and chatting about random stuff.

Suddenly, someone tapped my  shoulder and I tensed up a bit. I looked to my back to see it was Brody.

Oh no. Please dont kill me. I havent even had the chance to ask her to be my girlfriend. Wait. What did I just say-

"What did you do to my sister?" Brody said in a very scary tone.

I gulped a bit and replied "I didnt do anything-"

"Oh yeah? Then why did she go to the bathroom? Why was she covering her face?!?" Brody cut me off, but I wasnt gonna give up and get on his bad side.

"I just gave her a nickname, which was snowflake and then she asked why then I explained, saying because of her last name then about something else then I saw her covering her face by the time I was almost done explaining." I said truthfully.
