Bella's POV:

Its been 3 days since I started working on the school project. Ive been staying in the library working my butt off til Brody picks me up from the library to go home.

Speaking of 3 days.. Its been 2 days since Mateo seemed, off..

Last monday, I told him that I wanted to focus on the school project since it will help me academincally for my overall grades but apart from that, I wanted students to be aware of this problem.

Most people have choose the topic like "literring" or "school staff", etc etc. Now, im not gonna lie, those ideas are actually good.. but they seemed a bit too overrated.

I dont wanna brag but, I think mine is somewhat unique. The topic I choose is about the student enviroment, like, the reason why students often dont ask questions, students being in separate groups, etc.

I feel like that topic is not only a problem in our school, Sherbert high, but in schools in general. When I thought about this, I gave myself a mental pat on the back when I thought about something as simple as this for a topic.

Now, back to Mateo...

The whole grade is also working on this school project but Mateo seemed to be more chill about it than I am. Once I set myself on a goal, I usually try my best to do it. Whenever lunch time would come around, Mateo and I seemed to be less.. well how do I say this.. "love dovey?" Well I think you know what I mean.

The way Mateo has been acting towards me lately is kinda bothering me. But thankfully, I should be done later and I'll just need to polish my work then im done with thursday and friday to spare.

I'll talk to Mateo later, maybe there is just something that's going on with him and he needs to talk it out. Im currently in the library, fixing my papers and stuff. Since I finished a little early then usual I'll treat myself by reading "hot cocoa hearts," my favorite book to barrow.

Also, as usual, Mo went back home early.

I placed my things in my bag and I turned around to see Mrs. Grace, busy with putting plastic covers on the new books.

Mrs. Grace is the only library staff present so I decided to go towards her and maybe help. "Hi Mrs. Grace, need help?" I asked, and she looked up to me with a smile. "Oh of course dear if its fine with you.." she replied. "Of course its fine."

Mrs. Grace told me about what exactly is going on. The book delivery came by early than expected and then she found out that the library needed to be ready for use before friday. She just bought the plastic covers and there's no way that she can finish before friday.

I helped Mrs. Grace with putting plastic covers on the books which made the process even faster.

"So dear, how's you and Mateo?" Mrs. Grace asked. Well aside from him acting "cold" nothing really happened. I thought about it for a bit. "Well, last Sunday we had a family since my mom insisted." I answered.

"Aww thats good, but honey I can tell that there's something wrong. You can tell me if you want.." Mrs. Grace said, concerned.

Am I transparent or is Mrs. Grace wise?.. eh probably both.

"Well.. you see, Ive been working on a school project as you know but.. ever since yesterday, he started acting a bit off.." I said, continuing what I was doing.

"Well dear, maybe you need to talk to him.. maybe somethings bothering him." Mrs. Grace suggested. "Well, that's what Im gonna do later so I think we should be good." I replied, trying to light up the mood which thankfully did.
