Chapter 12: What are we?

Bella's POV:

"Bella, you and Mateo need to talk. We wont go home until things are sorted out. No buts. Just talk to him."

Brody's words just kept on ringing in my head.

Am I hearing this correctly? Is my over protective brother who kept calling me all day yesterday asking- no... telling me to go talk to the person he and dad is protecting me from.

I mean, Mateo isnt a dangerous person which isnt why my dad and brother are protecting me from him. My dad and brother are just over protective of me and since im the youngest in the family I guess you kinda know what I mean.

But.. what is there to talk about?..

Alright! Thats a dumb question, Bella! Youre supposed to ask him, "What are we?" Now that we both know that we both like each other..

Old married couple? Obviously no! Im still in highschool and im not even allowed to get married yet! Im not even in a relationship!

Boyfriend and girlfriend? I dont think so!

Just friends? Impossible, we both like each other, but not in that way, the other way.

Dating? I guess this is the most logically correct answer, BUT! I cant just confirm this by myself..

Huh, maybe this is why Brody demmanded me to talk to Mateo.

If I were to voice my thoughts right now, people would think im crazy..

But he makes me crazy.

Shaking my thoughts away, I went back to reality to see a certain pair of ocean blue eyes making his way towards me. Oh here comes the attractive library wall- I mean, Mateo since you know.. I bumped into him at the library 3 months ago..

Oh dear I forgot about what the library did to me and now im in very confusing state...

The rumors are too good to be true.. right?..

Alright Bella! No more thinking! He's on his way here now, just.. dont get nervous!

Calm down.. yeah.. just calm down.

"Hi snowflake.." Mateo greeted me with a smile to which I smiled in return. That nickname he gave me never fails to make me feel happy and special.

"Hello library wall.." I greeted back, wait a sec.

I called him a library wall!

Who calls their crush a "library wall?!?"

Well, its this girl, me. Welp. I messed up.

My eyes widen and I felt my cheeks heat up in embaressement. I look towards Mateo who seems a bit shocked and confused, but I dont blame him tho.

"Sorry! I m-meant Mateo.. not a library wall.. I-I.. I.. Im sorry! Please forget what I just called you, your nickname for me is obviously better than the nickname I just called you- NO! Its not a nickname, it just slipped out of my mouth for some reason, you know, since I bumped into you when we first met eheh.. but still, I didnt mean it! Im sorry!" I apologised- actually, rambled seemed like a better fit.

Mateo just looked at me, kinda amused. Suddenly, he started laughing and oh my goodness his laugh is very attractive.

"Y-you.. Bella, you just apologised like.. you've just been.... c-caught in the middle of murdering someone..." Mateo said between laughs and I just looked at him dumbfounded.
