"Are you sure you'll be fine?" My mother smiled holding my shoulders. "Of course mum, you'll only begone for the day." I smiled. My mother let go of my shoulders and smiled, "Well we better get going, do you want me to bring you anything from the fair?" she asked. I thought for a second but then remembered something.
"Maybe some raspberry jam, I haven't had that in a while." I smiled. My mother rubbed my cheek and smiled. "Of course, now we'll be back ok." she grinned and held Alfred's hand. I smiled at the as they walked outside. "Mommy why can't we go to the fair?" I looked at Matilda and smiled, "Remember, Mrs Hamilton were going to visit her." I pinched her cheek. Matilda glared at me, "Why, though?" she questioned. "Well Mrs Hamilton just gave birth last night, so I want to visit her." I explained.
"That's boring Mommy, I want to see the fair." she pouted. I laughed and hugged her. "We can always go there next year okay, I promise." I smiled. Matilda pursed her lip and stuck her pinky out, "Pinky promise!" she said. I giggled and stuck my finger out. "Pinky promise." I smiled.
"Now come on let's eat breakfast, Frederick is probably finished by now." I giggled. Matilda looked up at me amd smiled, "I love it here mommy."

Oliver and I stood out in the streets in front of the shop. I watched Y/N's parents amd Alfred walk out of the bakery and onto the streets. I turned to Oliver who was reading the newspaper. "Ollie look there gone." I tapped his shoulder. Oliver turned to me annoyed, "What is it?" he scoffed. I pointed at Y/N's parents and Oliver smirked.
"Looks like phase one of our plan is in action, now we just have to kidnap them when the night gets dark." he smiled. I smirked and we began to creep to the side of the bakery. "Following my lead, Ben." He signaled me. I nodded and we walked around the building until we were at the side. "See that window there?" Oliver pointed.
"Yeah." I whispered. "When we come here tonight, I'll push you up there with rope and you'll put it down for me ok." he explained. I nodded and we moved to the back of the building. "So where exactly are we going to go after we get them?" I questioned. "Well James will be there with his carriage." Oliver pointed. I nodded and we walked away. "So were really going to kidnap Y/N. I hope she doesn't get to angry." I nervously spoke. "Trust me were doing her a favour, this place is a mess." he scoffed. I laughed and he pushed back his brown hair. "I can't wait to get home, don't you?" he mumbled.
My heart leaped a bit and I leaned against the wall as well. Oliver's messy hair ruffled as the a gust of wind blew by. I felt my cheeks warming up.
"Yeah."
~Later that day~
~Y/N's pov~
The sun was setting and only the yellow glow of my lamp led me through to Eliza's house. Frederick was hastily trying to out walk me and Matilda was trailing behind him. I stopped for a second and turned around to them. Frederick, with determination in his eyes sprinted up to me and hugged me. Matilda on the other hand tiredly looked at me and yawned. I smiled and walked towards her picking her up. "Come one let's go."
I carried her in my arms and Frederick held the lamp for me. "Mommy look the house." he smiled and we walked towards the building.
Knock
I knocked on the wooden door and waited. I then heard footsteps and the door opened to reveal Angelica. "Y/N! Your here, Eliza thought you weren't going to come." she smiled. I laughed slightly, "Well I'm here and I brought Frederick and Matilda to." I smiled. Matilda moved forward, "Hello Ms Angelica." she smiled. Angelica's eyes lit up and she giggled, "Aren't you the cutest!" she hugged Matilda.
I smiled and Angelica moved out of my way, "Eliza's upstairs with her baby, just tell her I'm downstairs ok." I nodded and Frederick followed me up the stairs. We walked around until we reached the door. I knocked gently on the wood. "Hello?" I asked. I heard a weak voice call out, "Come in." and I walked inside to see Eliza holding her child in bed. "Liz!" I ran towards her and hugged her. Eliza smiled and I let go of her, "What is it, a boy or a girl." I smiled.
Eliza smiled and held out her baby and smiled. "A boy, and his name is Philip." I looked at Philip and smiled, "Hi I'm Y/N." Philip giggled and Eliza smiled. "So Liz are you feeling well?" I asked. Eliza sighed softly and leaned back, "Yep, just a bit tired though." she laughed. I smiled, "Alexander will be happy when he comes back." I laughed. Eliza grinned, "Thank you Y/N."
We talked for a bit about many things and Eliza kept smiling proudly. The night soon grew darker and it became late.
"I probably should go, you need rest, but I'll come back soon ok." I smiled. Eliza nodded and held Philip tightly. "See you soon."
I waved Eliza one last time and turned to Frederick who was leaning against the doorway. "You tired?" I asked. Frederick looked up at me and nodded. I picked him up and walked down the stairs to Angelica. Matilda was smiling and laughing and she ran towards me, "Mommy can we see Ms Angelica again?" she asked. I looked at Angelica who was smiling. "Of course." I smiled. Matilda jumped up exitedly and held onto my hand. I waved Angelica goodbye and we walked out the house.
As we walked down the street Matilda kept talking about Angelica and the astronomy books Angelica showed her. Unlike Frederick who was half asleep and only slightly walking. I laughed to myself as we kicked through the snow all the way to the house. I smiled softly and hummed to myself, the warm glow of my lantern lighting up the pale snow. Life was perfect.
I stopped at the door and fiddled with the key. I managed to open the door and I pushed it revealing the dark room.
I walked inside and sat my lamp on the table and lit some candles. Matilda grabbed the lamp and ran upstairs with her brother. I giggled and shut the door closed.
Crack!
My head cocked and I grabbed a candle. I rushed uo the stairs and into the living room. The rest of the house was deathly quiet and only the candle in my hand provided me light. My breath heavy and I walked down the small corridor. "Matilda!?" I called out.
But no one responded, "Frederick!" I called out. And yet the same eerily silence rang in my ears.
I took a few more steps and walked into Matilda and Frederick's room. It was completely empty. My spine was plagued with fear as I held the candle tighter.
I took a step back and felt myself running into something. I motioned forward but the thing behind me grabbed my mouth with a cloth.
I struggled but the faint chemical smell stung in my lungs. My eyes slowly closed and I felt myself lose all my senses, my head felt light and only one thought lingered in my mind.
Everything was perfect.
