~Ella's pov~
I hummed slightly and moved my hand around stirring the stew slightly. Of course, since Ben wasn't that great at cooking it left me to do it. It was quite early in the morning and only Oliver, William and I were awake. It was awkward but yet I had been in worse situations.
"Morning." Ben's voice called out tiredly causing Oliver and me to smile back. "Finally up Benjamin, You actually beat Sa- I mean Edward today," Oliver remarked. Ben grinned slightly and pulled out a chair next to Ben. "So El- I mean Anna what's for breakfast." He smiled in a croaky voice. I grinned and smiled, moving the pot of soup to the table. "Chicken stew, it's good for especially since your sick," I explained. Ben smiled and grabbed a bowl for him, Oliver and Will. The three of them soon started digging into the stew and I grinned, yawning tiredly. "So what are you doing today?" I smiled.
Oliver looked up and rested his spoon on the side of the bowl. "The king wanted to talk to me about something so I have to go to the palace today," he explained. I grinned awkwardly again and sat down. "Hi, guys." I looked up and saw Samuel half asleep. "Finally decided to join us sleeping beauty." I teased him. Samuel flushed red slightly and joined us. "Sp- I mean sightseeing really is tiring." he sputtered. I rolled my eyes playfully and Samuel started to eat. "So you're okay staying home with Will, Ben?" Samuel questioned.
Ben sniffed slightly and shuddered, "I'll be fine." I chuckled slightly and took another spoonful. "Well this was nice Anna but I need to go now, his Majesty needs me." Oliver sat up and grinned. I smiled slightly and he walked out of the kitchen, sliding on his jacket. "I'll be back soon okay." he waved us goodbye and left us all alone.
I wondered in my mind as I continued to drink the soup. What was George going to talk about with Oliver?
~Oliver's pov~
I waved everyone goodbye and walked out the door pulling my red coat closer. The cold wind blew down the street and I walked out onto the cobblestone. It was your usual day in Windsor and everything was as normal. Except for the fact that the leader of Britain wants to talk with me.
I took a deep breath and continued down the road all the way to the palace gates, where I was greeted with some guards. "Morning Oliver," James called out. I smiled and he opened the gate for me. I turned my head slightly and saw James and the other guard holding their thumbs up. "Good luck Ollie." I scoffed and walked inside the palace. It was the usual extravagant place and there were many servants littered across the place.
"Mr Andersen!" A courtier called out and I turned to see the man smiling. "Hello." I greeted him and he bowed, "Henry Talton." he introduced himself. I smiled slightly and he turned around, "Well his Majesty King George is waiting for you so I better lead you there." he grinned. I nodded slightly and I followed him. "The King really trusts you, Mr Andersen," he remarked. "Oliver is fine Mr Talton," I explained and he nodded going up another flight of stairs.
We continued walking and I surveyed my surroundings. Henry then stopped suddenly and looked around. "He should be somewhere here, I need to go. It was nice meeting you Oliver." Henry smiled. I grinned back slightly and he walked away leaving me amongst the corridors.
I stood for a while and even saw Y/N pass a few times until George finally arrived. "Hello Mr Andersen." he greeted me. I bowed and smiled, "Hello Your Majesty, I was told you needed my service again." George grinned and he started walking. "I need you to keep an eye on two of my servants," he spoke. I nodded and he smiled. "There names are Edward and Annalise, although I have a feeling they aren't who they presume to be," he explained.
I nodded again and continued to follow his lead. "So who are they exactly?" I questioned. George grinned and he moved towards a balcony. He stared down and gestured me next to him. "Those two down there. I want you to make sure they don't go anywhere near Y/N or my children," he instructed me and pointed down at a pair. I observed the closely and something was so familiar about them. "Are you willing to do this job, Mr Andersen?" George questioned.
I nodded and he patted me on the shoulder, "Oh and make sure you watch out, I'd hate for you and Ben to get caught up in this mess." he grinned sadistically and walked away.
My green eyes went back and I continued fixating on the pair. What the hell was happening?
~Y/N's pov~
Frederick, Matilda and I were all in George and I's bedroom, cuddled up on the large bed. I was reading them a book and both of them were listening contently as read the story.
I didn't really like this kind of stuff but being with my kids was something I treasured very greatly. Even when my life was shit, they managed to make things better.
"Then the prince stabbed the dragon, saving the princess. He then went to her and got down on one knee." I spoke excitedly, Matilda grabbed my arm and her eyes lit up, "What happened next mommy?" she begged me to continue. I chuckled slightly and continued, "Then the handsome prince held out his hand and proposed to the Princess." I smiled.
Matilda beamed and she snuggled closer, "What did she say next?" Matilda grinned excitedly and I smiled shutting the book. "What would you say, Matilda?" I asked her. Matilda looked at me confused, "What do you mean mommy?" she asked. I chuckled and I pulled Frederick closer to me. "Ah its doesn't matter now come on you should go downstairs." I smiled. Matilda pouted slightly but agreed and both Frederick and Matilda walked out. I sighed slightly and laid back down.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the silence. It was calming being by myself but I still liked being with my family. It was just sometimes I just wanted to be alone. I then felt someone hug me. I opened my eyes and saw the familiar red colour of George's coat. "You'll be safe Y/N," George whispered. I confusingly hugged back and he hugged me tighter. "I love you Y/N." he smiled and looked at me possessively My eyes slightly dilated looking at George.
My fear had come true, George was obsessed. I didn't want him to be and yet it was partly my fault. I smiled back slightly at George and he buried his face near my shoulder.
I didn't know what to feel and maybe never will. But as life moves along, so should I. Even if I didn't want it to.
