25th of December 1779
"Thank you, Mrs Nicholson." I smiled and handed her the cake. "You two Y/N." she picked up the cake and walked out the door.
I sighed and turned back to the kitchen. "I better go and get ready for that Christmas party." I mumbled to myself amd walked upstairs to my home.
"Mommy! I got ready myself!" Frederick ran to me dressed in a small jacket and shorts. I smiled and grabbed his cheeks, "Really? Well I'm very proud. I'm going to get changed and then I'll be back ok." I smiled. Frederick nodded and sat at the dinner table. I quickly walked into my room and slid on a simple blue dress, I went over to the mirror and quickly styled my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror, "I think I need something else." I opened my drawer and searched for some jewellery.
I frantically clawed through the drawer but then remembered where they were. "Oh yeah I sold them." I sighed and shut the drawer, I walked out of my room and grabbed Matilda, I changed her into a small pink dress and fixed her light hair. She giggled and smiled as I fixed it and when I finished I rushed over to Frederick.
"Your ready Frederick!" I smiled. Frederick giggled, "Yeah I'm ready!" I smiled and grabbed his little hand. We walked down the stairs and out into the snow. "Mommy look!" Frederick awed at the snow a picked up a bit. "Can we take this mommy?" he smiled and held the snow in his hands.
"Sorry Frederick we can't, because it might melt." I nervously replied. Frederick pouted and threw the snow on the ground. "Come on let's go." I held his hand and we began walking to the camp.
Music was being played as we walked in, soldiers were smiling and singing and sharing food. I smiled and walked into the camp.
"Y/N!" I looked over and saw Alexander frantically waving his arms. I smiled and walked over to them. "Hi Mr Hamilton." I smiled. "I'm glad you came! Have you met these guys before?" he pointed at a group of three people behind him. "No I haven't.." He smiled and pulled me to them.
"Guys this is Y/N L/N, ya know the King's ex-wife." he smiled. I was shocked that Alexander called me George's ex-wife, but I liked the ring to it. "Well Hi, Ms L/N I'm John Laurens!" the one with freckles said.
One of them smiled. "I'm Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de La Fayette. Or just Lafayette." I nervously smiled at him. Then the other one walked forward, "I'm Hercules Mulligan."
"We nice to meet you all." I greeted them. They all smiled and Alexander looked around, "Come on let's go! I think your daughter and son might be hungry." I smiled and followed the group into the main tent.
"Y/N!" I flinched and saw Ella and Samuel walk up to me. "Hi El!" I smiled. "Merry Christmas!" Ella handed me a small box. I laughed, "Thank you, and Merry Christmas!" I smiled and hugged her. "Oh hey Sam." Alexander shook Samuel's hand, "Hi Alex." he smiled. We all then began to sit down at a table to eat some food.
A few soldiers and their wives were sitting at the table. There was Washington and his wife, there was Alexander, John, Lafayette and Hercules. Then there was Samuel and Ella with their son. I smiled as everyone began to eat and smile.
I looked around and saw everyone joyful, this was the first proper Christmas I've had in a long time. I quickly dug into my food and enjoyed the festivities.
I then noticed that there was ine empty seat. It was right next to Ella. "Hey El, who's seat is that next to you." I nervously asked. Ella turned to me and smiled. "My father's! He said he was going to be late." she smiled. I nodded and I continued eating. "Mommy! Can William and I go outside and play with Uncle Samuel." Frederick asked pulling me dress. I smiled over at Samuel, "Yes you can Fredrick." Frederick grinned and ran out with Samuel and William.
I sighed and continued eating while feeding Matilda. I looked around and smiled but then noticed someone walked in. He was tall and had greyish brown hair, and had the same blue eyes as Ella. It was her father.
He walked forward and made his way to his seat, but before he sat he looked at me and began to walk towards me. Everyone became silent as he moved closer. "There you are you little shit, what the hell did you do. I sent you to spy on the King and then you get impregnated by him. Your f*cking whore." he yelled at me. My eyes widened with fear as he motioned to hit me. But before he could Alexander and Washington pushed him away.
"General Fredrick was is the meaning of this." Washington yelled. The general scrambled on the floor, "You know what's wrong, you let my whore of a niece into this place, that's the problem." he spat at the ground in front of me. Ella looked at her father in horror and tried to restrain him.
"I didn't think you'd stoop this low sir, letting traitorous little shits like her eat amongst us." he yelled. Tears began to roll down my face as the words rattled in my head.
"I can't believe you would say something like this General Fredrick, I expected you to respect our guests. Leave now, badmouthing me and your niece isn't the way to act." Washington scolded him. My uncle stood up and scoffed, "I was gonna leave anyway, I can't eat near pieces of shit." he then walked out furiously from the tent.
I collapsed to the ground and began to sob. Alexander rushed to my side and comforted me. Ella ran up and hugged me. Everyone had became silent and the attention was on me.
I gasped and sobbed as I felt my reputation drain. People began to leave as Washington ended the party. Only Hamilton and his friends, Ella and Washington were left.
They didn't care who I was in the past, or my reputation. They were my family. I had only known some of these people for a day, but when they stayed with me I knew I wasn't alone.
I was no traitorous shit, I was Y/N L/N.
