~Ella's pov~
I stared down at my bowl and scooped the soup up, only to let it back down. My eyes trailes around and spun the metal utensil around. "Ella what's wrong." Samuel voiced. I looked up at his brown eyes amd sighed, "I just feel really bad about what I said to Y/N, I mean I even said that I had it worse." I said in frustration.
Samuel smiled and put his hand on mine, "Ella it's okay, Y/N will forgive you." Samuel spoke softly. I looked upa t him, "But Sam, I basically said to her face that all her pain was worthless. I mean my stupid self should have realised that Y/N went through much worse things. I mean how did I think Matilda and Frederick were born." I buried my face in my hands.
"Ella you should go and apologise, Y/N is a good person. She'll forgive you, trust me if she can put up with being George's wife for more than a year she'll forgive you." Samuel voiced. I sighed and stood up. "I'll go there now, I'll be back soon." I grabbed a cloak and lamp and entered the snowy outside.
It was time to say sorry.
~Alfred's pov~
"Today was really fun, I can't believe that a fair could be that fun." I smiled. Mrs L/N smiled and ruffled my hair. "Ahh it was, but I'm honestly tired out, I wonder what Y/N cooked because I'm starving." Mrs L/N joked. I giggled and we continued down the street.
"It snows here more than I thought." I stated. Mr L/N smiled, "No surprise to me, when I was young I used to play in these streets. It's great to see you and my grandchildren play in the same spot." he smiled proudly. I laughed and turned my head, forward. "Were almost home, finally." I grinned. Mr L/N laughed and we moved to the front of the building.
"Y/N!" he knocked on the door. We waited a while but no one answered. "There probably asleep, I think I have a key." Mr L/N smiled and started searching for a key. I waited and leaned against the door. "I swear-" Mr L/N cursed. I stared down and fiddled with the handle.
Creak
The door opened and Mr L/N looked up. "Y/N didn't lock the door? That's odd." Mrs L/N spoke. Mr L/N shrugged his shoulders. "Mrs L/N!" I turn my head and saw Y/N's cousin.
"Ella what are you doing here?" she asked. Ella stopped and moved towards us. "I came to apologise to Y/N. Something happened a few weeks ago." she explained. Mrs L/N smiled and gestured for Ella to walk in. The four of us walked into the dark bakery. "This is weird..." I nervously spoke.
Mrs L/N held my hand tightly and we moved upstairs. "Y/N!" Mr L/N called out but no ome answered. "That's odd.." he spoke. "Let's check in her room maybe she's there." Ella suggested. We all nodded and headed down the hallway. It was dark and only the candle Mrs L/N found gave us light. We quickly searched through the other rooms but found nothing, it was up to Y/N's room. We walked the hall to Y/N's room and stopped at the door.
"Y/N!" Ella knocked. We all stayed quiet and waited for a response. I stayed silent and we all looked around at each other. Ella's eye's reflected the candlelight as she looked back at us. She took a deep breath and her pale hand rested on the doorknob.
"Y/N?" Ella opened the door to reveal an empty room. Everything was neat and tidy and silent. "What? Where's Y/N." Ella shivered in fear.
"Maybe she went to Eliza's place. We should head there." Mrs L/N spoke. We all nodded and walked down the stairs. Ella's eyes swell and tears began to fall, "What happens of something happened to Y/N?" she sobbed. Mrs L/N put her arm around Ella and headed downstairs. "I just hope Y/N's okay." I smiled. Mr L/N nodded and we went out onto the street.
The cold snow fell and the four of us walked through the desolate street. Everything felt unsettling, the streets were quiet and not even the lanterns were lit. Mrs L/N pulled me closer as we got closer to Eliza's house. The trees surrounding the house were slightly illuminated by the moonlight. I gulped in fear as we approached the house.
The house was quite large and fancy but it was dark. We moved towards the large door and Mrs L/N knocked.
"Hello?" a young woman opened the door. "Angelica, is Y/N here?" Mrs L/N asked. Angelica looked at us oddly. "No, she actually just left maybe an hour ago." she replied slightly confused.
Mrs and Ella both gasped slightly and I realised what this meant. I looked at the faces of pain.
Y/N was gone.
