Part 16

Sumedh walks to Dau.

"Hey bro! Haven't been talking to me since a while. Are you a little busy with you-know-who?" Basant teased. However, Sumedh was still pacing around, clearly nervous.

"What happened?" Basant asked, concerned. Sumedh looked at him and explained the whole situation.

"Well..that is bad." Basant said finally. Sumedh gave him a look.

"You're not helping!"

"Ok ok sorry...well did you at least go after her to explain?"

"Well..I kinda tried but my mind was blank."

"WELL HOW DO YOU EXPECT THINGS TO BE BETTER...BY DOING NOTHING?!" Basant yelled. Sumedh got even more disappointed...but suddenly his face lit up.

"DAU...YOU'RE A GENIUS!" Sumedh's face glowed and his usual bubbly personality returned. Basant just stood there confused. What did I do? I literally just scolded him and he got an idea out of that. Why am I even friends with him? What kind of brain does he have?

"A really good one." Sumedh replied, appearing to have read Basant's mind.

"WAit what! What did you just say? Did I say anything out loud?" Basant was shocked.

"Anyways..." Sumedh said mysteriously. "I just got an idea! Yesterday, I told Mallika the importance of trust in love. I can't go back in time and change what happened today, so I'll use this situation as a tool to help Mallika learn about trust."

Basant just stood there with a monotone face. "Okay...you're going to teach her a lesson...but the real question is HOW? How will you do that Sumedh?? That's nearly impossible!!"

"Well I guess I'll have to make the impossible...possible!" Sumedh winked and left. Dau on the other hand still stood there confused. First of all, why does he come to me and share his worries if HE CAN SOLVE THEM HIMSELF AND LEAVE? He tells me the whole problem and makes me wonder what the solution is. I've never seen such a weird person in my life. With that he runs after Sumedh to figure out his plan.

*Next Day at Shoot*

Mallika wasn't sure if she should confront Sumedh about yesterday's incident. I'm sure it was just an accident. Sumedh wouldn't cheat on me like that. I'll just talk to him. Everything will be fine.

As she was walking toward Sumedh's room, she heard Chanda's voice. For some reason, she stopped and tried to listen to what she was saying. As Chanda talked..Mallika's eyes went wide!

"Anyways, yesterday the most attractive thing happened to me. I always knew that Sumedh was after me. Yesterday, after his look test, something happened between us where I could feel that connection between us. It was like we were meant to be. I mean I knew we always had this thing, but I never thought Sumedh would express it this way. Like I was so taken back. Anyways, I have to go back to shoot, so I'll talk later."

Mallika was outrageously shocked after hearing this. What! What is happening? I can't go to Sumedh after what I heard. I thought Sumedh liked me. He told me himself. Or is all that love and feelings a joke to him? Someone please give me a clear picture!!!

Chanda POV:

She put her phone down and smirked. This plan worked out perfectly! With my fake action of calling, I think I definitely crushed her heart! Chanda returned to work.

Mallika quickly went to her vanity van. She shut the door with a thud, and sat down on the chair crying. She just didn't know what to feel. Thousands of thoughts were running through her head. Mallika was hurt and upset.
