Eyes, glued together as if sleep had set in and encased them shut, Luke struggled to open them. Fatigue had gripped him, and opening his eyes for the briefest of moments hurt as sun rays dazzled him. Light battered through the lush green canopy of the forest in which Luke resided. Birds not native to the normal world chirped and animals made their calls from deeper within the dense woods.

Stretching fingers, Luke clasped at the warm grass. Mind fogged over and his body weary, he battled to open his eyes. Heavy at first, they sprung open in amazement when Luke realised where he was. Facedown in a small grass clearing within an enchanted forest, it was a sight to take one's breath away. Tall oaks with purple and blue vines coiled around them stretched to the heavens as they encircled Luke.

Hands releasing realistic feeling grass, Luke forced himself to sit. Taking in the all inspiring wonders before him, he couldn't believe it. The last memory Luke could recall was the fight between him and Nargl the Triumphant, a level fifteen invasion/dungeon boss. Not long after the fight, there was a vortex that ripped the sky asunder and an Avilien loading screen.

Able to stand with legs like jelly, Luke continued to admire every detail around him. Unique butterflies bigger than Monarchs with neon colours fluttered around the tree as small purple frogs with huge eyes nestled in the crevices of the bark. All seemed real. Inspecting himself, Luke had the same tatty attire and trainers. His checkered shirt, shredded jean, and his odd coloured trainers that looked as if they would talk at any second. One oddity had now appeared on Luke and that was that a brown leather strap that came over his shoulder and across his chest.

Crackling Thunder, the special sword Luke equipped outside of Avilien now rested in a holder on his back. Another oddity was that a strange black squared device was now attached to Luke's left wrist and looked like a watch. It vibrated in a frantic rhythm. When tapped, it sprang to life, and a holographic page appeared in front of Luke.

A huge blue Avilien A logo appeared, an A made from a tree. A loading bar stretched across it and was currently on ninety-eight per cent. Nearby chirpings of a bird Luke had never heard before made his head pivot and then the rustlings of a bush deeper within the forest made his eyes focus. Red and orange berries rustled as whatever lay within the bush was large. Every piece of the environment seemed more than just data; to Luke, it felt too real to be a game. Yet, as he drew close to a nearby oak wrapped in its vines, a little exclamation mark appeared above the bark.

Tapping the small blue exclamation mark another holographic box sprung to life, and the one from Luke's watch dissipated. Inside this new information, bubble were details about the oak tree. Level ten with three hundred health. It could be climbed, harvested for wood or sap, and it had several options greyed out where various professions could interact with it. Agriculture at level ten allowed the tree to be chopped down and harvested for wood. Besides the information that now-vanished back into a tiny exclamation mark, the tree felt real as Luke ran over the bark and vines with his hand.

The bird noise from minutes ago returned, and closer now as it came from behind Luke. Eyes widened more at the sight of the weirdest creature Luke had seen as it pecked the grass. Bright purple, with blue-tipped wings and a long beak. It had a health bar above its head along with its level and name. A Toolkpin with one thousand health and its level was one. An absurd amount thought Luke as his watch vibrated and the holographic page emerged into the air.

"Inventory, HUD, bestiary, stats, lore, attributes, quest log, skills, abilities, map, equipment modifier, game guide modifier, achievements, and more have been successfully downloaded. Two game guides are present, one user manual, one teleportation crystal to Tutorial Islands, and one sack of exclusive loot for defeating Nargl the Triumphant," the watch spoke in a female robotic voice confusing Luke.
