The war is finally over. It's been three days since we defeated the forces of Lucius. Speaking of him, he's under our custody as we try really hard to make him confess his sins. Right now, the public is confused and rattled with the sudden past events. And all we need to do is to assure them by Lucius' confessions.

And with that three days span, I haven't sleep nor eaten something. My mate is still unconscious for reason unknown. I already gone bersek countless times everytime the doctors tell me that they can't figure out what happened to her.

What if she was cursed by that witch?

Damn it! I throw the sofa in front of me and it reached the ceiling creating deep cracks.

Because a war had commenced here between the forces of Lord Alexus and Lucius' generals, the whole castle is at mess. But my men are doing their very best to put everything back to normal. Despite of, I'm still thankful that Lord Alexus won, and of course, with the help of my uncle, Adrus Cole.

No one expected him to show up, but he did anyway.

The door in my office opened, revealing Medusa and Maxus Blade.

"King Caldrix, we will go back to our place this noon," Medusa politely informed me.

"How about Martin? I heard that he is still on comatose state."

"Dadalhin namin siya pabalik at doon na lamang namin siya tutulungang magpagaling. Baka makatulong ang pamamalagi niya sa kanyang nakagisnang kapaligiran," Maxus answered which I nodded to show my agreement.

"Then be it. Extend my endless thanks to your father. And inform me with the condition of your brother from time to time," I told them and they immediately bid farewell.

Just like in any war, damage is inevitable. Several soldiers from my army lost their lives. Some are still recovering, while others are on 50-50 state. Among those notable figures who died are Felvin Cuartes, Kedan Knight, Acher Brelus, and of course, my sister. Cassiopea's death is part of this war. I might not be able to save her, but deep inside, I feel how grateful she is because of what she did.

And to my disappointment, Axon is perfectly fine and already started his journey to nowhere.

With regards to our enemies, I made sure that they vanished permanently in history. I let them get killed without mercy. That's what they get from doing something stupid against me.

I decided to go out of my office and the busy halls welcomed me.

This is a new start, I thought out of the blue.

"King Caldrix, fancy seeing you here." I found Lord Alexus meditating in the garden. His manor is still recovering so he's staying here temporarily.

"Lord Alexus, I'm done reviewing your proposed political draft, but I don't approve any of it."

He looked at me full of confusion.

"What's the matter? Do you mean you're'--"

I cut him off.

"Exactly. Here. This is the draft I want you to follow after the death of Lucios. I don't accept 'no' as an answer." I give him the scroll that I personally prepared which he accepted politely.

This is indeed a new beginning for the kingdom.

Our peaceful meeting is being disturbed by the head doctor of the castle whom I assigned to take care of Gresha.

"K-king Caldrix." He called me full of excitement and fright at the same time.

"What is it this time?" I exclaimed. I'm so tired of hearing how they failed tracing up Gresha's condition.

"Your mate-- your m-mate---"

"Fuck it! Tell me what happened to her or I'll make you suffer from an eternal torture."

Fear registered on his face which made it even harder for him to speak. With that, I bolted like lightning until I reached Gresha's room.

I immediately get inside, but I was shocked when I was welcomed by someone by hungrily biting my neck. She drank my blood like there is no tommorow. Like she has been so hungry for it for a very long time.

But after recognizing who she is, my tears automatically fell down to my cheeks. I carried her delicately and even exposed my neck more, so that she can drink my blood to her satisfaction.

I can feel mixture of emotions because of what is happening right now. Bliss, excitement, joy, and at the same time aroused with the sensation I'm getting with the way Gresha sip my blood. This is the first time I felt her fangs tore my veins and I am more than satisfied and fulfilled.

After several minutes, she's still drinking my blood nonstop. And since I haven't taken care of myself well for the past few days, I already felt dizzy. But I didn't even try to stop her, or show a sign of discomfort.

She owns me. She owns my whole being, my every fiber, and she has the right to do everything she wants with me.

I am hers.

I breathe heavily when she finally decided to stop, preventing me to collapse due to blood loss.

She licks the tiny left over blood on her lips and looked at me full of devotion, love, and excitement.

And in that moment, she dropped the greatest bomb in my whole existence and my mind went literally blank state.

"Caldrix, I'm several days pregnant. You're going to be a father soon."
