Chapter 12

Previously

Once I reached the venue, I gave the guard my invitation and he lead me to the main ballroom. I quickly scanned for my friends and when I found them someone tapped me on my shoulder and said "I found you."

Brie's POV

I gasped and turned around to see a masked guy. And just by looking thru his mask, seeing green eyes, I smiled knowing who is this guy behind the mask.

 

"So you have." I smiled

 

"Yes and as far as I can remember, I was promised a dance Ms. McMahon." He told me holding out his hand for me.

I smiled looking and placed my hands onto his. We made our way into the center of the ballroom waiting for the next song to play. He placed his hands gently on my waist while I placed mine on his shoulders. 

The background music started to play then I quickly lead Xander to the dance. 

Take my hand, take a breath

I can sense that Xander is getting nervous and I told him "Hey, you have nothing to worry about. Just follow the music." I smiled and he smiled back and we continued to dance.

We'll keep dancing (to keep dancing) wherever we go next

"I promise you that you won't fall. Brie." He smiled

"Really now?"

"Uhuh. I promise and when I make promises I keep them." He gave me his million dollar smile showing his pearly whites.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw our friends, the girls were swooning and taking pictures of me and Xander dancing while the guys sending big smirks to Xander.

It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better

Then suddenly I saw Tyler looking at us like he wanted to kill Xander for dancing with me. But because he is in a big event, he stayed still.

He then suddenly became confident and took the lead and said "Hey don't let him ruin this night." and smiled

I smiled back then suddenly he became more confident and took the lead.

I imediately got lost to just looking at Xander's eyes.  He has the most striking green eyes that I've ever seen.
