Chapter 7 ~ You Need to Practice | Girls Teams

"Honestly, I don't know what the girls see in you."

THE BOYS WERE CHANGING OUT OF THEIR EXERSICE CLOTHES, and getting ready to go head to class after morning practice. It had been a few days since the training camp and Akiko and the boys were alright with changing in the same room.

The boys felt a little weird in the beginning, but soon, the feeling of knowing Akiko and Tsukishima were dating and that she had already seen them half naked ever since the start of the year let the weird feelings subside. 

That weird feeling, for Kei, was jealousy. But after talking it over with Akiko and realizing she would absolutely never cheat on him, the jealousy disappeared.

Akiko gave him a confused side glanced with a raised eyebrow before focusing back on changing.

"Am I that unlikeable?"

"I'm sure that 75% percent girls that I see confess to you don't know personally." Nishinoya said. "You don't know that." Akiko said, amused.

"It's true." Tsukishima said. The only reason that he hadn't defended her already was because he'd embarrass himself. Either way, it was a silly argument that would surely not affect their friendship.

"I meant it physically." Tanaka said, clearly not expecting the comment to burst into a conversation.

Millions of thoughts regarding that comment from Tanaka burst into Tsukishima's mind ranging from you're wrong, and theres so many reasons why  to she is so pretty  to fuck you Tanaka.

Akiko snickered, "Is it the ponytail?" She asked. "Or the glasses?"

She suddenly thought something and smirked. "Or the fact that you're not gay?" 

Tanaka got flustered, "Maybe that." He muttered.

"So we have a week for training before the match against Aoba Johsai on Sunday." Akiko told the girls team's coach. The coach was a young woman, named Sato Kane, she taught the girl's pe class. She nodded and thanked her again.

"We haven't had a practice match in such a long time. Thank you, Koisumi San." She bowed and smiled at her.

Akiko quickly nodded and bowed back at her. "It's no problem."

Sato turned to the girls and began talking. "We must practice hard. Aoba Johsai's girls team is a powerhouse, so don't underestimate any of the girls, fragile looking or not. All we have to do is practice, practice, practice. It's time to get this club to be serious and actually win."

When the boys had the practice match against the girls, Akiko was able to deduce everybody's strengths and weaknesses, which were blatantly obvious. 

Michimiya, Aihara, and Sasaki are winged spikers, Sudou and Kikuchi are a middle blockers, Aoki is a setter, and Watabe is a Libero. All the third years are winged spikers, the second years are middle blockers, and the first years are Watabe and Aoki. What a coincidence.
