The rest of break was filled with all fun, amazing food, and absolutely No studying. Holly had learned a lot about the Marauders when they weren't all or pranking or scheming. Peter actually really liked to knit. Sirius was a lot more passionate about muggle music than he originally let on. Hours and hours discussing and debating about musicians and bands. That had certainly bonded Sirius and Holly as Holly's father was a big music lover and was adamant about sharing his love for it with his only child. Much to her mothers attempts to stop it. Remus and Holly spent a lot of time discussing literature as well. Much to their surprise, Sirius joined in on the fun, discussing poetry and his favorite works in French. And James, Holly was shocked to say that James Potter loved to cook.

He was absolutely fantastic at it as well. Him and his mother, spending every night by the stove and coming up with a marvelous meal for them all. James loved to experiment and try new things with recipes. He also loved spending time and bonding over it with his mother as well.

The days were spent and life was lookin pretty good. The day of New Years was a celebration. The boys parents all came and it was sort of a little party. Holly had invited her parents but her mother declined on both of their behalves. Sirius spent the day joking and teasing James that at midnight, he would be the one to kiss him. James had continued to scoff and say 'no' whenever Sirius brought it up.

"5..!"The crowd shouted, everyone standing around with champagne and fun decorations surrounding them.

"4..!

"3..!"

"2..!"

"1..!"

"Happy New Years!" Everyone cheered. We all raise our glasses to clink them when Sirius rounded James and sent a kiss right smack on his lips. James instantly backed away, sputtering out and spitting on the ground.

"Was it just like the one you imagined on Christmas?" Sirius asked with a cocky grin on his face. James had started to gag.

"I have to go brush my teeth." James breathed out harshly, leaving the room to, well... brush his teeth!
Suddenly a warm pair of lips was on Holly's cheek. She looked to the side and saw Peter smiling warmly at her.

"Happy New Years, Holly." He said. Holly smiled and slid her arm across his back.

"Happy New Years, Peter."

The day after, the Marauders and Holly all packed up their things and set off on the 'Hogwarts Express'. They had met up with Mary-Anne and Brie. After a heartwarming reunion between the girls and Sirius asking if Mary-Anne missed him, they got on the train and found an empty compartment.

James had sat against the window, dragging Holly to sit next to him. Mary-Anne and Brie sent her a look. All Holly could do was shrug and sit. Brie sat down next to Holly and Mary-Anne across from James. Sirius was quick to plop himself next to her. Remus and Peter follow Sirius and sat next to him. The train ride was long and Holly was tired. Remus had kept her up half the night, reading his favorite chapters of an old book he really loved. Holly was glad to spend the time with him, but now she was suffering for her friendship.

Holly pondered something for awhile. She didn't know if she should do this, bringing in account her confusing feelings for James. Or how their kiss had brought them closer in a way. But her eyes were drooping and a headache had stated to form. Letting out a huff, Holly surprised James as she took his arm and swung it across her chest as she used his shoulder and torso as a cushion. She rested her feet across Brie, winking at her friend as Brie sent her a glare.

James leaned down, his breath fanning her ear.

"Tired?" He asked lowly. She let out a tiny 'mhm' and a nod. "Rest. I'll wake you when we arrive." James instructed, leaning back against the seat to talk to Sirius as his arm clutched her tighter. That was all Holly had to hear as she closed her eyes and tried to sleep.
