A few days had passed since Damon and I found Stefan drinking blood bags. Elena had told me she had a funeral to go to and Stefan is weening off of human blood since he binged. In those couple days, I hadn't been able to be around Stefan as much as normal so instead Alaric had started teaching me to fight. Alaric had taught me a few self defense moves, along with how to use weapons he has for hunting vampires. Except today, he called me and said he couldn't train today so that left me with staying at the boarding house. As I sat on the couch, Stefan was behind me looking for a book on on of the many bookshelves.

"What are you looking for?" I asked.

"Nothing" he sighed, roughly pouring himself a glass of whiskey. I looked at him, raising an eyebrow in question. "It helps me take the edge of" he explained before downing it and slamming the glass down. "Get dressed up. If I have to go to the founders day party like this, you're also going."

"I'm not a founder-" I stopped as he gave me a stern look. "How long does it take for you to go back to normal after bingeing?"

"I'm never normal" he replied. "But a week. If not longer."

"Well it's almost been a week" I smiled, standing up. "You'll get through this, Stefan and if me going to the stupid founders party helps make you feel better, I'm totally down." Stefan smiled slightly and I grinned. "I'll go get ready." I ran upstairs, pulling a dress out of my closet without really looking at it. I pulled it on and was pleasantly surprised of the one I had picked. It was a black, lace, off the shoulder dress. Next was my makeup. I did a full face before doing a black smokey eye and red lipstick. I put my hair into a low, messy bun and grabbed my purse. Making sure I had my phone I made my way back downstairs.

"What are you doing home?" Damon asked. "And where do you think you're going like that?"

"Alaric cancelled on me and Stefan wants me to go to the founders day party" I answered.

"But you're not a founding family."

"If I'm going, she's going" Stefan jumped in, downing another glass of whiskey.

Damon whistled before saying "okay." We all climbed into Damon's car, Stefan in the passenger side while I was in the back. Damon drove to the Founder's Hall, and we all got out. We walked through the front doors, and Stefan sighed.

"Oh god. I shouldn't be here" Stefan spoke.

"If you want to leave we can. We shouldn't be pushing you to do this if you aren't ready yet" I told him.

Stefan looked at Damon before saying "I'll come get you if I want to go home." I nodded and Stefan walked away to the bar. I explored the building, taking in every detail. After an hour or so, the classical music stopped and I paused. After a few seconds a different kind of music came on. Dance music. I went to the bar and stood next to Damon and Elena. I looked at what they were watching and saw Stefan dancing with Matt's mom.

"He's drunk" I frowned.

"Is he going to be okay?" Elena asked Damon.

"Eventually" Damon answered. "One way or another."

"We have a problem" Damon mumbled, grabbing my arm softly as I watched Stefan and Elena dance.

"What do you mean?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Jeremy is getting nosy. He's trying to figure out what happened to Vicki" Damon replied.

"Jeremy as in Elena's younger brother?" I questioned and Damon nodded. "Does he know of vampires?"

"Not that I know of" he replied.

"Hey watch it!" Someone yelled, gaining both of Damon and I's attention.

"Sorry, my fault" Damon apologized. "I'm clumsy."

"Then get off the dance floor" the man snapped.

"This bitch" I seethed, about to go for the man but Damon held me back. Stefan got in the mans face for me.

"I think you need to apologize" Stefan spoke.

"I'm sorry."

"Say it like you mean it" Stefan demanded.

"I'm really, really sorry." When Stefan was convinced, he pushed him and the guy walked away.

"We have to worry about your brother and Elena's?" I sighed, looking back to Damon who still had a hold of me.

"Apparently."

"Have you noticed what your brother has been up to?" Elena asked, coming over to us.

"Not really. I've been preoccupied with yours" Damon replied, and Elena grew confused. "Jeremy has been asking questions about Vicki Donovan's death."

"He knows that her death was ruled an overdose" Elena furrowed her eyebrows.

"Oh but sheriff, someone buried her. Who would do that?" Damon imitated Jeremy. "Me! I mean, I could compell him but he's wearing vervain."

"No" Elena refused. "I don't want you to compell him."

"If he keeps asking questions-"

"No Damon. I'm serious. I'm not going to do that to him again. I'll deal with it" Elena replied as Damon picked up a rose. Damon smelled it before giving it to me. Elena walked away as I smiled up at him.

"Thanks" I said, smelling the rose.

After a little while of searching for one of the Salvatore brothers, I saw Stefan run out of the house. I followed after him, knowing he's probably going to get himself into trouble. In the distance, I see the same man from earlier push Stefan. I ran up to them, pushing the man.

"You are an asshole" I growled, punching his chest. "Let me guess, you were a bully in high school and now you're a no body. Did I get that right?" He stared at me angrily, shoving me to the ground. Stefan shoved him back, the man landing on the ground next to me. Stefan's face changed, his eyes turning red and his fangs showing. "Stefan." His face went back to normal.

"Elena's coming" Stefan mumbled.

"Compell him. Then we can get out of here" I said, standing up and walking over the him.

"Stefan?" Elena called from afar. Stefan quickly compelled him, before grabbing me by my waist.

"Hold on" Stefan demanded. He slung me onto his back before vampspeeding back to the boarding house. "I'm so hungry" Stefan mumbled, setting me down.

"You did good, Stefan" I praised. "I'm proud of you." He seemed to ignore me as he grabbed his head.

"My head is pounding. My skin feels like it's on fire" he explained.

"Stefan-"

"No. I- I have to go" Stefan cut me off.

"Make sure you get a bunny. Or five!" I called after him before he took off. I grabbed a blanket before plopping onto the couch. I laid down, getting comfy and closed my eyes.
