"Here's a dress for the Founder's Parade" Damon threw the old dusty, 1864 era dress on my bed, dust rising in the air. "Might want to clean it" Damon said as I sneezed multiple times.
"How exactly do I wash this?" I asked, picking up the dress to look at it. The dust made the red on it seem pink, which I wasn't a fan of.
"Figure it out" Damon shrugged, walking out of my room.
I scoffed before yelling "Stefan!"
"What is it?" Stefan appeared, only half dressed since he was also getting ready for the parade.
"How do I wash something this old without ruining it?" I asked, advertising my eyes from Stefan's bare chest.
"I got it" he took the dress from me.
"Oh, thank you" I smiled.
"No problem. I'll have it ready before we have to go" Stefan replied, walking out of my room. Elena had found herself a good one. He could do laundry and he had the body of a god.
***As Stefan said, he had it ready by the time.we.had to leave. With all the dust off, you.could.see the velvet red, the lace at the end of the sleeves and a line down the middle of the dress was white. I slipped it on and held it up. Realizing I couldn't tie the corset myself, I called out for Damon. He appeared in the doorway and I turned to him.
"Can you... do the corset please?" I asked.
"Of course" he answered and I turned back to the mirror. I felt his fingertips brush against my skin. He began tying the corset up and I sucked in a breath.
"Oh wow" I said breathlessly, grabbing onto the counter. As he continued tying it up, the less I was able to breath properly. "How did Katherine do this everyday."
"No idea" he smiled tightly, finishing up with the corset. "Done."
"Well thank you Mr. Salvatore" I turned to face him, only then realizing the tux he was in. "1864 tux?"
"Yeah" he nodded.
"You look handsome" I complimented.
"And you look beautiful" he smirked.
"Thanks." I tried going around him but he grabbed my waist and pulled me back into him. Damon moved his face close to mine and I looked into his eyes. We stayed like that for a couple seconds before Damon broke the silence.
"I really want to kiss you."
"I'm leaving!" I heard Stefan yell, making me jump slightly.
I cleared my throat before saying "we should also go." With that, I walked out of my room.
***Damon and I were standing on the float next to Stefan and Elena. Damon's arms wrapped around my waist and my back was pressed against his chest. As the float was pulled, all of the Mystic Falls court and the escorts waved at everyone that was watching.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our stunning Mystic Falls court and their handsome escorts" Mrs. Lockwood announced. "This is Caroline Forbes, Miss Mystic Falls. Aren't they beautiful?" We passed Mrs. Lockwood and as we got further away she introduced the high school football team. After the parade ended I changed and met Damon at the Mystic Grill.
"I like you better like this" Damon told me. "The period look. Didn't suit you."
"Is that an insult?" I scoffed, seeing Elena come in.
"No, Danica. It is a compliment of the highest order" he replied.
"I know Stefan is worried about our... friendship" Elena began.
